20 Winter Outfits for Your Style Inspiration

Good morning! Somehow it’s suddenly the first day of December, and Cyndi and I are recapping our 20 Days of Winter Fashion! This way you have my 20 winter outfits in one place for easy reference. You can also click the graphic on the sidebar to see all of the posts in the series.

20 Winter Outfits for your 2018 Winter Style Inspiration!

20 Winter Outfits Recap

We usually keep our winter style series short because it comes right on the heels of our fall series, and it’s such a busy time of year. This year there were only 20 days in this year’s winter collab, but we both posted multiple outfits in a few of our posts, so there are way more than 40 winter outfits altogether.

I enjoyed this series — mainly because I was able to shoot winter outfits in winter weather. It is rare that we are actually shooting outfits in appropriate temperatures!

There are some hits and misses here, as there always are, but overall I’m pleased with how most of these looks turned out. I realize they’re heavy on the skinny jeans and light on dresses and other styles of pants, but this time of year I find it particularly difficult to find dresses I like, and skinny jeans are the best for tucking into tall boots plus they pair so well with booties, so yeah. It is what it is.

So let’s recap.

Week 1

one // two // three // four // five

Week 2

six // seven // eight // nine // ten

Week 3

eleven // twelve // thirteen // fourteen // fifteen

Week 4

sixteen // seventeen // eighteen // nineteen // twenty

And there you have it!

Even though our winter style series is over, I have plenty more winter outfits coming up. In fact, I have a couple of holiday looks with faux leather leggings, another one with dress trousers, and I actually found a sweater dress I love that I’m hoping to shoot before it sells out.

I’m also working on a post about winter coats you need in your wardrobe as well as some cozy pajamas, and I’m excited for some new brand partnerships I’ve got in the works. So yeah, there’s more coming!

Plus I’m planning to start rolling out my gift guides this week, so if you’re still shopping, stay tuned for that. I’m wide open to hearing what you’re still shopping for and which gift guides are the most helpful.

I hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend. We’re hosting Friendsgiving tonight, and I have a lot I need to do to get the house ready for that. Fortunately everyone is contributing to the food so I don’t have too much to do on that front. We also wanted to cut down our tree today, but the weather is looking dicey, so we’ll have to play that by ear.

All in all, it’s a busy day, but all fun stuff. Have a good one!

  1. Sounds like a fun day!! Enjoy your friends & family! I’m going with my sister to see/hear Handel’s Messiah at the Lutheran Church. I’ve never heard it performed live so that will be fun! Anywho, about those gift guides…if you have any great ideas for teen boys, I’d love to see them. My son is a high school senior and will be going away to college next fall so I was thinking maybe you had some great ideas for gifts for him since your son is in his first year of dorm life! Thanks! Love the blog & read everyday!!

  2. Hard to believe it’s the first of December! My house is decorated and I’m hosting my second party tonight but I have no gifts bought and no cards sent. Yikes! Oh well, it’s the weekend. I’ll panics Monday. 🤪
Looking forward to that sweater dress post. I’m in the market for a good one. And please, how do you keep them from sticking to your tights?

  3. This was a great series.   You had a little bit of everything and gave me lots of inspiration!  As far as gift guides…I would love one for men’s stocking stuffers.  My daughter is easy, but the men, not so much. Lol   Have fun with your friends tonight!  We are decorating the house and tree this weekend.

  4. So enjoyed the early winter selections!
I have the black lace tee and the green sweater ready
for my parties in the coming weeks!
Will look forward to your winter coat pics…
Love that last year from Maine!

  5. Love the winter series. I dress casually most of the time so it was great. Its too cold here to wear dresses other than special occasions. Friendsgiving sounds like a fun idea! Enjoy!!

I agree with Linda that a mens Christmas gift buying idea guide would be helpful. My hubby is tough to buy for. There are only so many socks, DVD movies and sweaters I can buy him!!😂

  6. I’m looking forward to the gift guides.  I’m looking for a nice, neutral (not too big), tote style handbag for myself.

  7. I really love the styles you posted but I realized that I can never find the winner so if I won, I wouldn’t know. lol
