2019 February Favorites

Well! It’s the last day of February, so I guess I’m slipping this post in under the wire.

Each month I like to share some new finds and old favorites I’m particularly enjoying right now, so these are my February Favorites.

one // two // three // four // five // six // seven // eight // nine // ten // eleven

2019 February Favorites

all outfit details

one // I was so excited to discover this faux suede drape jacket that I ended up ordering a second one in heathered grey.

Mine is the pink adobe, but I’ve seen another blogger style the lilac, and it’s really pretty too. It also comes in silver and olive, and the heathered grey is listed separately for some reason.

It’s lightweight and drapes beautifully but it also provides some warmth. It’s so perfect for spring!

I wear a medium in this jacket, for your size reference. It’s TTS for BlankNYC jackets, but if you tend to run in between sizes, I recommend sizing up.

two // I’ve been carrying this Everlane leather tote a lot lately, as I start to wear lighter colors in anticipation of spring. It’s such a classic, this color is such a versatile light taupe, and the quality is really good for the price.

Plus I like Everlane’s philosophy and enjoy supporting a company that makes transparency and supporting ethical factories a priority.

three // I was so excited to see these driving loafers appear after the super popular pair from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale was discontinued. They’re very similar and even come in a bold orange-red that is similar to mine.

four // I’ve already featured this Madewell top a few times, so it’s not new to you regulars. I just think it’s such a good transition piece for this awkward in-between season. I break it out every time the daily high tops 50 degrees. It’s TTS; for reference, I have the small.

five // This is another top that is great for transition season. It’s on the higher end of the budget spectrum, but it’s currently 40% off and stocked in all sizes. I honestly don’t know why it’s not flying off the shelves.

The asymmetrical hem is a bit unusual, but I think it only adds to the appeal. The quality of the cashmere is top notch, and the color palette says “springtime” while the cashmere keeps you snug and warm until the weather decides to cooperate.

For size reference, I wear a medium in Nordstrom Signature sweaters, so I recommend sizing up or going with your larger size if you’re in between.

six // This ruffle split neck blouse is starting to sell out, so grab it while you can. It really is so good. I love it, and I’m bummed to see it selling out before I get to officially feature it.

It’s very flattering and figure forgiving. The ruffle hem is cute, the split neck is flattering, and it has a really nice drape. Plus a black blouse is so versatile. I have it in a small, for reference.

seven // This CND Winter Glow is one of my favorite nail colors for spring and summer. It’s a chalky pink that reads neutral but has enough color to contrast against my pale white skin.

I get my nails done every other week and use the CND Shellac, but it’s also available in Vinylux that is easy to apply at home and remove with regular nail polish remover.

eight // I’m loving the Truffle cases I ordered before my last trip. I actually got all three sizes — the mini, the small, and the large. I use them all, but mainly the two smaller ones inside my daily tote bag.

I was going to return the large one, and the return policy is pretty strict — they wanted all the packaging, and I think I had to pay for the shipping, so I just kept it.

As it ended up, I’m really glad I did. I’ve already used it a couple of times — mostly for travel or for carrying some makeup when I’m going to a photo shoot, but it comes in handy from time to time, and it’s such a classy way to contain extra stuff in your purse or luggage.

nine // I am officially obsessed with these slingback platform sandals. I’ve been ordering a ton of different sandals recently, to update my own as well as to have current recommendations for you all. I’ve tried everything from wedges to flats to block heels, and some were very pricey. I was disappointed with all but these Vince Camutos, and they’re one of the more affordable pairs I tried.

For one thing, they’re remarkably comfortable. The suede is really soft against the foot and there are no rough areas that rub. Plus the block heel and the sling back offers plenty of stability, and the platform reduces the heel drop so I don’t feel like I’m wearing so high of a heel, but I get all the height of the full 4 inches.

And to top it off, this blush color is divine. They also come in black and red, and they run true to size. AND I just found out that today they’re 30% off at Macy’s!!!

ten // I’m doing a lot of traveling this spring, and I wanted to invest in some good quality over-the-ear noise-cancelling headphones. Bose is the gold standard, of course, but when I polled Facebook, I heard good things about the Sony brand as well, and I liked the look of these a lot so I ordered them.

I wore them on both flights to and from Scottsdale, and I love them. They do what they say they do, and they’re comfortable, plus they look nice. I mean, as nice as over-the-ear headphones can look. My 16 y/o daughter has been wearing them here at home a lot since I got back, and she loves them too. In fact, I fear I’ll never get them back. #kidding #whostheparenthere

eleven // Finally, if you’re not sick of it yet, you will be. This denim jacket has been a workhorse in my wardrobe lately — not so much for my daily life because it’s cold, but I keep finding ways to incorporate it into the spring looks I’m putting together for 26 Days of Spring Fashion, which starts tomorrow!!!

For anyone not familiar, it runs a little big. I have it in the small. It has great stretch and shape retention, it’s the perfect mid-indigo wash so it goes great with lights and darks, and it’s super flattering on. Definitely worth the investment. On a cost per wear basis, this jacket has more than paid for itself since I bought it last year.

So, yeah! That’s a wrap! Over and out, February!!! I can’t say I’m sad to see you go, but you sure did fly by so I guess I can’t complain.
