Daily Mom Style | What I Wore This Week 08.15.12

After last week’s post, this one is feeling pretty ho-hum. Plus there’s the whole end-of-summer, tired-of-my-clothes issue I’ve got going on. But here we go!

This is the second top I got at the LOFT a few weeks ago. I think it will be really nice going into fall. I wore it one day with my favorite jean shorts. It’s really easy to wear — the loose fit is forgiving when you’ve had one too many bowls of ice cream, and the detailing across the chest adds interest. This outfit needs color though.

I’m loving my new dress so much, I’m wearing it every chance I get. I had the perfect opportunity on Sunday. We went to church and then out for lunch with my inlaws. I also broke out my new YOU by Crocs Women’s Sammilee Pumps. I got them for $49 but it looks like the price has gone back up. What a shame! They are still on sale on the Crocs website, though.

I wore this the night we went to the Eagles game (I’ll be posting about that sometime this week!) I was trying to go for something really casual. I layered a loden green tank over a black one and wore my worn-in straight-leg jeans. I carried my little pink Hobo Int’l cross-body so that I didin’t have to worry about a big bag all night.

I wore this orange tank top and gray cuffed shorts one day working from home — both are from Banana Republic.

And finally, this tank top and cargo pencil skirt was another stay-at-home day outfit. I took the opportunity to wear my Studio Jewel long metal mixed necklace.

I am not looking forward to the end of warm weather, but I’m definitely looking forward to breathing new life into this tired wardrobe!! How about you? Are you getting sick of summer clothes yet? How do you keep it fresh?

  1. I can’t wait on wednesday mornings to open my feed reader and read these posts!! These posts alone have inspired me to “shop my closet” more and throw on a necklace or fancier flip flops just to liven up a seemingly ho-hum outfit. =)

I actually am looking forward to the heat going away. We are in Oklahoma and this is the 2nd summer we’ve had record breaking triple digit days. For like weeks at a time. So yes, for me, bring on fall!! =)

  2. I wore a lot of the same casual dresses this summer and just changed out jewelry and shoes. Or added a short sleeved cardigan. They are just so comfortable and airy for down here in swamp land! Ha!

I think you look great in all of these outfits and well, I do love the dress! 😉

  3. I always enjoy stopping by on Wednesdays. You have such great style. I love that dress with the nude pumps. I’m a little jealous you wore jeans this week. I’m waiting for a cool down to get to wear something other than tanks and shorts.

  4. So. Sick. Of. Summer. Clothes. I’ve resorted to T-shirts and yoga capris unless I have to go out, in which case I swap the capris for a pair of decent (not athletic) shorts.

Okay, sometimes I wear the athletic shorts. But in my heart I’m wearing jeans and sweaters and scarves and don’t have my hair in a ponytail.
