Flares + Blazer with Reversible Floral Cami

And just like that! It’s the last day of March, and we’re wrapping up 23 Days of Spring Fashion! To close out this series, I’m styling flares with a blazer and a reversible floral cami for date night or a business casual event.

WHBM reversible cami // WHBM flare jeans // J.Crew blazer // Dolce Vita sandals // Loeffler Randall baguette bag // double chain necklace // Kendra Scott hoops // gold cuff (c/o)

Both the flares and cami are from White House Black Market. I always like them for date night and work wear clothing.

This cami is actually reversible, which is great because you’re basically getting two tops in one. You can see the zebra print from the other side, but I think it’s kind of a cool feature, actually.

WHBM has been doing these reversible camis for years, and I appreciate that they made this one regular bra-friendly. Even though it has thin straps, they are placed perfectly and cover enough of my bra that I don’t feel the need to wear a strapless.

It’s a little long on me, so I gave it a front-tuck.

And these jeans are amazingly soft and flattering. I’m seriously impressed with these. Flares are trying to make a comeback, but these are more of a slim bootcut. I’m hoping they start to look more modern now that longer, more relaxed styles are coming back around.

I usually size down in jeans from White House Black Market because they tend to stretch out a bit, so I ordered these in both the 4 and 6. While the 6 felt okay, the 4 still zipped comfortably, so that’s the size I’m wearing here.

I’m very picky about wash and distressing, and they did a really good job with the wash on these — especially considering that they retail for well under $100. Highly recommend if you’re looking for bootcut jeans this spring.

And I wore my Dolce Vita braided sandals again. I like how the ivory color repeats the ivory background on the floral cami, and because they have a low contrast against my skin, they allow the long, leggy silhouette of the jeans to show to full advantage.

Unless it’s super hot outside, I like to wear a completer piece with a strappy cami, so I layered my J.Crew Going Out Blazer on top.

I love this blazer because it doesn’t look as corporate as some. It has a flattering fit with good structure and bracelet-length sleeves. (Bracelet length sleeves are slightly longer than 3/4 sleeves — they should sit just above the wrist, whereas 3/4 sleeves will sit about half-way up your forearm.)

It’s soft and stretchy and fully lined, and I have my usual size 6. You could size up if you wanted to wear it over thicker sweaters.

And I carried this trendy Loeffler Randall gathered baguette bag in the black. This style is very popular right now, and I love that it has a strap so you can be hands-free.

The clutch I carried yesterday is adorable, but without a strap, it’s hard to take out to restaurants because I don’t want to set my bag on the table or the floor.

This baguette bag has a comfortable strap that you can wear over the shoulder, over your arm, or just carry in your hand. It also comes in a really pretty sand color (which I also ordered; I’m still deciding which one to keep… ) and it’s 25% off right now!

I accessorized with my double chain necklace from Evereve and gold Kendra Scott hoops. And because the blazer has bracelet-length sleeves, you definitely want to wear a bracelet. It’s kind of the point! So, I added a gold croc-embossed cuff from Ann Taylor.

Unfortunately it’s old, but I chose to wear it because I wanted something with enough visual weight to grab your attention, and it’s a classic style that works well with the blazer and cami.

And with that, another 23 Days of Spring Fashion is in the books! I hope you enjoyed it. I feel like this year went by faster than most.

I was blessed with really nice weather for most of my photo shoots… something I can’t usually say for spring fashion photos! For that, I am extremely grateful. And I enjoyed styling clothes that I know I’m actually going to get to wear somewhere!

Even though our spring style series is over, there will be plenty more spring outfits to come! In fact, I have a few banked up that I didn’t use in this series, so I’ll probably share them next week when I’m in Florida.

Meanwhile, be sure to visit Cyndi Spivey and see the spring look she’s styling today!

  1. Jo-Lynne, this is my favourite outfit of the spring series. Thank you for a great series of outfits. Safe travels today.

  2. Love the outfit. We know how much you love your skinny jeans, but those flares look amazing on you!

  3. Hope you have a wonderful and safe trip and can relax and recharge. I really like the outfit and am still debating the handbag. I don’t need it, but I really like it. The jeans are sold out in my size but I really like the ones you are wearing. The top is really pretty too.

  4. Jo-Lynne, Wishing you and your family a safe and happy vacation! Love this spring outfit.💗 LOL! I also overpack and stress out all the time when packing for a trip.

  5. Safe travels! I know the four of you are super excited. This is a great outfit and a wonderful way to end this series.

  6. I love this outfit! I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the series and am sad to see it end. Nonetheless, enjoy your much deserved trip and safe travels! 🙂

  7. Thank you for this series! I always enjoy the series that you do with Cindi.
Hoping that you will share with you pack to go to Florida. I will be traveling there soon and packing is always a challenge for me! We plan to relax at the pool, play some golf and go out for some casual meals. I am a young 64-year-old I have found that I avoid wearing shorts. Not sure why, maybe just haven’t found the right ones. Any ideas would be appreciated

  8. Love the outfit! I love how flattering bootcut jeans are, but I always tend to pass over them in my closet because I just prefer the comfort and ease of skinny jeans. The cami is so cute, and I love the subtle zebra print behind the floral.

  9. This is another winner on you Jo-Lynne! I hope you wear those jeans often, because they look like a million bucks on you! Love the whole outfit. I need to get a blazer.
    Enjoy the sand and sun!!!

  10. This outfit (especially the jeans) looks amazing! Thanks for helping to make this month fly by! Have a great vacation🌴🌞

  11. Oh wow. Didn’t realize you were leaving today. Have a great trip. Thanks for a great Spring Series. You did great. Cute outfit today. Not sure if I’m ready to embrace the bootcut. I’m having a hard time going out of my comfort zone from skinnies. 🙂 lol.PS. I over pack too. Hardest thing ever for me is packing to go anywhere. I want every shoe in my closet.

  12. Love those jeans on you, your legs look super long….flare/boot cuts are very flattering on most of us, although I love my skinny’s and gravitate to them more, I know with my apple shaped body (thin legs, weight in tummy and bust) I look best in some kind of boot cut…they just balance you out better. Enjoy you vacay, I’m jealous😀

  13. Love this outfit!

I’m a chronic overpacker too! I just always want to be prepared for a change in weather or just my clothing tastes. Ha ha. #chronicoverpackersunite

    Enjoy your trip!

  14. I’m putting my skinnies in the back of my closet for next winter. I’m really into straight leg and bootcut. They make you look leaner and taller, and I need all the help I can get.😉 You look great in this outfit. I’m really considering the bag in the lighter colour. Hmmmmm
Have a wonderful trip! I know you’ll come back refreshed from your vacation.

  15. Love the cami. The print is gorgeous. I tend to overpack as well. I use the packing cubes and find out I can really get a lot of stuff in those. We went to Iceland and Finland a couple of years back for a week and I managed just one medium sized bag. I am so ready for a beach trip. Have a great time. Safe travels.

  16. Love this look! And I think this style jean looks fantastic on you. Enjoy your vacation, I live in central florida and it’s been beautiful here.

  17. Love this look and your spring fashion series. Thanks for doing it with cyndi again. It gave us a bit of normality in a non- normal world. The bootcut jeans are a winner. Your legs look so long and lean in them. I’m an hour glass shape too; you have inspired me to consider bootcut jeans. Safe travels and have a wonderful Vacation! Have a well deserved cocktail for us! 🍹🌴

  18. Can you tell me what the rise is on the jeans? I can’t find it in the description in the WHBM website. I just received a pair of Paige flares yesterday and the rise is 11 1/2” high – they literally come up to over my rib cage (sending back). These look so cute on you!

  19. Great wrap up for the Spring series! Love the jeans on you. Thanks for all the great looks you and Cyndi posted. Happy Easter and hope you have a great vacation! 🔆🏖

  20. I used to be an overpacked, thinking I needed a unique outfit for every day. I’ve finally come to realize that I spend minimal hours in an actual outfit as our days are spent at yoga, out walking then to the beach and/or pool. I don’t put on an “outfit” until dinner and no one would ever know if I wore the same outfit more than one day! I just make sure that whatever I bring is all color coordinated so I can actually make “unique” outfits out of the few pieces I do bring.

Have a great time in Florida. We’re on our way home from a week there right now.
