At-Home Workout / Work-At-Home Outfits with Athleta

While we’re staying home and doing our part to keep this pandemic contained, self-care is super important to keeping spirits up, and that includes staying active.

I may not be able to run (due to a hip injury) or get to the gym to work out with my trainer (pandemic problems), but I try to get outside and walk at least once a day, and I’ve recently taken up yoga. What did we do before YouTube?

As much as I miss going to the gym, I have to admit, working out at home has its advantages. I really like how easy it is to fit exercise in around my other daily activities, and I can justify buying more activewear since I’m wearing it so often!

I’m loving the styles this spring at Athleta, so I was thrilled when they reached out about partnering on another post to share their At Home Workout line.

Here are a few of my favorite at-home workout/work-at-home outfit formulas that keep me feeling stylish and put-together all day, whether I’m working or working out.

Let’s HIIT It

Whether you’re streaming a sweaty HIIT workout or your next Netflix marathon, you’ll be cool and comfortable in these capri leggings and super soft tee.

Work At Home / At-Home Workout Outfit

#1. Athleta Cloudlight Stratus Tee // This tee is beyond soft, plus super lightweight and breathable, with a longer length to cover your assets. The scoop neck and relaxed fit are flattering and comfortable, and you can wear it alone for a workout or layered under your favorite wrap for a lazy afternoon with a good book.

#2. Ultimate Bra in SuperSonic D-DD // This bra is designed for medium-impact workouts with D/DD sizes in mind. I love the racerback design for mobility and airflow.

#3. Athleta Ultimate Stash Pocket Capri  // Perfect for everything from your sweatiest HIIT workout to a zen yoga practice, these capris have a comfortable high waistband, and they’re made of a sleek and supportive compression fabric that stays in place and feels great against the skin. Plus, they have two bonded side stash pockets and one back waistband key/card pocket for all your stuff.

#4. Athleta Pranayama Wrap // Athleta thought of everything when they designed this soft and sumptuous wrap — side pockets for your stuff, extra long sleeves thumbholes, a clean open front, and longer in the back to cover the bum. It comes in a wide range of colors and sizes, including petite, tall, and plus sizes.

Run With It

I’m dreaming of the day I’m running again.  You don’t realize how much you love it until you can’t do it.  For now, I hope this look will inspire some of my fellow runners to get out there.

At-Home Workout Looks with Athleta

#1. Lightweight Run Cap // I like to a cap when I run, especially in wooded areas, and I love that this one has UPF sun protection. Plus, cute!

#2. Ultimate Train Tee // A lightweight tee with a relaxed fit and a high neck for ultimate coverage while working out, and UPF 30 for sun protection. I love the raglan sleeves and subtle contrast seaming and the way it dips a little lower in the back. It comes in a great assortment of colors. This is going right into my cart!

#3. Cushion No Show Sock by Bombas // I have one pair of Bombas, and I love them, so I just added these to my cart. I love that for every pair purchased, one pair is donated to a shelter in need.

#4. Gel Quantum 90 2 F Sneaker By Asics // These sneakers are recommended for long distance, short distance, and trail running. They have a seamless upper for added comfort and the Asics Rearfoot Gel Technology Cushioning System, plus they look great too.

#5. Run With It Shorts // Even though I’m not running yet, I ordered these running shorts. They’re a true split short for optimal mobility, with a secure zip pocket in the back. (I always need a place to stash my car key when I’m running on a trail.) The material is recycled polyester/spandex that is lightweight and silky and moisture-wicking, and they have targeted ventilation to keep you cool.

WFH to Yoga

For days I’m working from home and trying to fit in a yoga workout at lunchtime, this outfit covers all the bases.

At-Home Workout / Work At Home Outfits

#1. Momentum Tank // This is my favorite style of top for yoga and gym workouts because it stays in place and doesn’t fly up when you bend over. It comes in tons of colors, and the seamless construction minimizes chafing, plus it has anti-odor technology. #yesplease

#2. Nirvana Wear Two Ways Wrap // I love how you can wear this super soft wrap two ways.

#3. Athleta Studio Joggers // These relaxed joggers are perfect for yoga practice, or life off the mat. They are designed to wick moisture away as you sweat and dry in a flash for ultimate comfort, plus they pack down small for travel without wrinkling. These also come in petite and tall sizes.

#4. Gizeh Birko-Flor By Birkenstock // Slip on these stylish Birks when you need to take the dog out or run to the grocery store for more TP, or just wear them around the house to give your feet more support.

#5. eKO 4Mm 71″ Mat By Manduka // If you’re just starting out as I am, or it’s time to update your yoga mat, this 71″ mat is lightweight with plush cushion and unparalleled grip. #addtocart

  1. I love Athleta. I liked many of the things you showed, but I ordered the joggers (yay! Petite!) and the Birks. The Birks are back-ordered in my size. I ordered the Silver. I figured I have a ton of black sandals, and when I saw the silver (ooh! shiny!), I loved them. Even though I typically wear size 6 – 6 1/2 shoes/sandals, Birks sometimes run big, and I need 35s. 🙁 So we’ll see, I guess.

I actually have a hard time NOT wearing jeans. I really can’t wear pajamas all day. Even if I wasn’t working (distance learning with my students), I feel so much better after I’ve showered and put on real clothes. And I really am happiest and most comfortable in jeans. But those joggers really do look amazingly comfortable. Have a great day!

    1. I’m with ya. I never stay in pajamas all day, and I really am just as comfortable in jeans as joggers… although I’m enjoying joggers and leggings a lot right now. Especially with cute wraps and cardigans. The Pranayama Wrap is divine!

  2. Well we didn’t quite wake up to sunny warm weather but yet snow🤷‍♀️… what’s happening?  We started  having a much better spring then last year but at least it won’t last. It’s just hard to see the white stuff again. One thing I’ve been thankful for during this time is having my workout area already at home. Your right it’s got its advantages as I throw in my laundry and hit the workout then finish it up when I’m done. It’s great for multi tasking 😉. Enjoy your day

  3. I guess Savannah is like my grandson when he was three and they brought his brother home from hospital. He wouldn’t even look at him at first. Is that polish regular or gel?I’m doing mine now and not happy with them. BTW flavors has a great sale on jeans & pants now. They fit me well.

  4. It’s sunny in Delaware! Not as warm as I was hoping, but I’ll take it. I’ve been trying to do yoga or walk every day. Jolynne, can you tell me the differences you see between the Sweaty Betty Athletic tank and the Athleta Momentum tank? I bought the Sweaty Betty tank, thinking it would go back because no tank is worth $45, is it? It indeed is. I have been wearing it several times a week. I would like a second in this style so I’m not waiting for it to dry after washing so I can put it on again. I was thinking about trying the Athleta one but wondered how you think it compares to the SB version.
