Little Girls’ Winter Fashion with P.S. from Aeropostale

Little Girls' Winter Fashion with P.S. from Aeropostale

My 10-year-old is starting to come into her own sense of style, and it’s cute to see how she and her older sister differ. Comfort and sparkles pretty much sums it up for my little one. She has always been very particular about how things fit and feel.

Her favorite place to shop is P.S. from Aeropostale. They do such a great job of marrying comfort and style. In fact, I did a mini closet reduction with her last week after reading The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up, and pretty much everything left was from Aero.

This works out really well for me because I’m a VIP blogger with P.S. from Aeropostale, which means every season, they send us a gift card to shop with so we can share their newest styles with you. I forgot to post about their winter collection before the holidays, but many of the items we bought are still available AND on a nice discount!

R lives in leggings, stretchy ponte knit pants, and sweatshirts in the wintertime. Her absolute favorite piece of clothing right now is this Sequin Heart Pullover.

I am not kidding when I tell you she wears this sweatshirt almost every day. Her teachers must wonder if she has any other clothes. When that is dirty, she will wear this Snow Fun Tunic or a similar (and no longer available) Let It Snow Tunic sweatshirt with leggings. Many other kids clothing stores seem to carry only sweatshirts that are more of a cropped style, but these are nice and long and cozy.

We were in Target together last weekend, and R was wearing her sequin heart sweatshirt (of course.) Another mom who was walking down our aisle stopped and said to her, “That is an AWESOME SWEATSHIRT!”

R was beside herself. After the lady moved on, she looked at me and said, “She has good taste!” Haha.

P.S. from Aeropostale has cute dresses too. Isn’t this little Leopard Gem Dress adorable? R wore this little red lace skater dress from Aero (no longer available) to her holiday concert at school last month. She looked super cute, and she said it was comfy too.

Incidentally, we got her faux fur jacket at P.S. from Aeropostale last winter. Thankfully it still fits! This year’s version is this adorable cream colored Faux Fur Hooded A-Line Coat. They have puffer coats and a wool peacoat for little girls as well! Sizes

There’s a lot of winter left, so if you have kids who like P.S. from Aeropostale, this is a great time to fill in anything they need before the spring line arrives in a few weeks.

  1. Their prices are very reasonable in my opinion also- win for the pocketbook and for pleasing a preteen!!!

  2. Very popular with my 10yo too! I bet they would love to shop together. It’s so interesting to see where they gravitate in stores. 10 is the beginning of their own style and mom has to take a back seat.

  3. I should give them a try for AEK. She’ll be 8 in two weeks (::hold me::) and is gravitating towards more mature styles than what I have traditionally dressed her in. Maybe a birthday shopping trip is in order…

  4. Our granddaughter will be 7 the end of March. She loves anything with sparkle! Her outfits are mostly tunics & fun leggings. It makes mornings so much easier for her mommy! And Grammy, when shopping for her. Regarding what you said about your shipping epiphany. I was doing the exact same thing, loving the look & style of something and thinking I think I can wear that, albeit slightly modified. NOT. As I’ve mentioned before, I’m a 60 year old 5’4″, curvy 16. I used to say 14/16 until the holidays hit, now I have to drop the 14….(I’m working that part now). I loved the comfy look both you and Cyndi had with tunic tops & black leggings. I found a great pair of ponte ones from Christioher & Banks, complete with tummy control. Then I purchased a tencel denim tunic top & a gray/black leopard print tunic with a bit of a silhouette style. The look and the reality of the look – miles apart! It just doesn’t work! I know I see plus size models wearing the look, but on me it did nothing but accent my worst features, that area between my waist & thighs. It just showed off how large those “assets” really are! I also have found that anything tunic length on me just sits on that butt of mine. I also purchased the red Michael Kors fringed cowl neck sweater Cyndi was sporting. On me, it was extremely boxy & unflattering, complete opposite of how it looked on Cyndi. So for 2016, like you, I’m trying to purchase less, but make sure what I do buy is figure flattering for my age & build. I have to say though, almost all of your styles, I’ve been able to replicate in my size, from the stores I shop in. Your style, I think, appeals to so many women and sizes across the board! Keep up the great fashion inspiration!

  5. Your daughter is lovely, and fashionable, too! Very cute clothes. I especially like the heart sweatshirt, and that beautiful coat.
