Cashmere Under $100 with Amazon Prime Wardrobe

You know I’m a sucker for a cashmere sweater, but I’m not always fond of the price tag, and I know many of you like it when I share more budget-friendly finds, so I’m super excited to tell you about this Lark & Ro cashmere turtleneck.

I’ve been trying out Amazon Prime Wardrobe lately, and I ordered this sweater in my last shipment. With Prime Wardrobe, you can try before you buy, much like Trunk Club and Stitch Fix, but with Amazon, you get to pick what you want to try. It’s pretty convenient, and Amazon is adding new fashion brands all the time — like J.Crew Mercantile and a large selection of name brands from Shopbop. Plus you get the benefit of free Prime shipping and returns, if you’re a member.

I seem to remember somewhere along the way that Lark & Ro was named one of Oprah’s Favorite Things, so I did a quick Google search, and my memory serves me well!

It’s actually this off-the-shoulder sweater that was one of Oprah’s Favorite Things 2017, but they’re the same brand and assumably similar quality despite the disparity in price point.

It comes in five colors, and the prices vary. In fact, prices vary by size and color; this is typical for Amazon Fashion. I also find that their prices fluctuate day to day, but I was able to get this grey turtleneck in a size small for $31!

What I like about this turtleneck (aside from the amazing price!) is the pretty details like the contrast stitching in the shoulders and the split hi-lo hem, plus it’s really soft and thin and comfortable to wear.

I typically prefer shorter sweaters, but in this case, I like the relaxed fit. I paired it with high rise dark wash skinny jeans, and I wore mules with a heel to elongate the lower portion of the body and offset the longer length in the top.

I kept my jewelry simple with this layered pearl pendant necklace and a pair of pearl earrings, and I matched my bag to my shoes.

If you’ve got a cashmere turtleneck on your shopping list for fall, I highly recommend trying this one.

  1. LOVE this outfit on you! I personally think the length of this sweater looks amazing. What a great price too. I ordered the sweater but was bummed I had to pay $45 not $31. The way their prices constantly change is pretty annoying but I decided to go for it b/c $45 still isn’t bad for cashmere. My family got stuck in Costa Rica for an extra week during 911. #neverforget

  2. Thanks for putting an Amazon Prime wardrobe piece on your blog today.  I have been so curious about this new way to shop for clothes.  I wonder about the quality/fit of the clothing.  Trunk Club is great but Stitch Fix could never get it right for me.  I’m never going to have to leave the house to clothes shop anymore.  Woohoo!

  3. LOVE this outfit! I’m going to check out that turtleneck. I’ve used Stitch Fix in the past and have had some really good fixes, but I haven’t gotten a fix in quite awhile. I’ve been really tempted to order from Amazon Prime Wardrobe, but just haven’t done it yet. I swear I get everything else from Amazon, though, so I don’t know what I’m waiting for. My husband asked our UPS guy once if I have my own shelf on his truck. 😀 Thankfully he said that there are people who order a LOT more than me. Ha! Btw, I just received a pair of Linea Paolo shoes that look very similar to the Steve Maddens in your email this morning. Instead of a green camo, they’re black/silvery gray. I was intrigued enough to order them, and I think I love them after trying them on yesterday. Can’t tell if the Maddens have a wedge, but the Linea Paolo pair have about a 2″inch wedge. Very cute.

  4. This outfit is so you…. Looks super comfy.. I love the sweater but would need the x small and it jumps to $65.00.. Oh well I need some purses first anyway. I remember being in the bank line up and I looked to the TV monitors and saw the planes hitting the twin towers… at first I wasn’t sure what I was watching.. My brother -in- law who worked one block down from the towers at t he time had left for work late and my sister-in -law couldn’t reach him. He no sooner got there and turned around and headed back. I guess he was horrified by what he saw. Thoughts and prayers today for those families that were affected. We will never forget. (even us folks here in Canada)

  5. Well, you get a 💯 for this outfit and how you look in it!  You are correct, we should #neverforget. My stepson is a fire fighter, so we realize that we never know when a call he goes on will be his last earthly call.  But, life should go on.  Have a blessed day!

  6. I LOVE that outfit on you. Can’t wear cashmere in Savannah. Never gets cold enough but love that sweater. Great look for you. ♡♡♡♡♡♡♡

  7. I kept refreshing my amazon page until the price went down from $69 to $39, lol. Purchased this in the charcoal grey, love the details on the shoulder.

  8. Cute outfit and I love the sweater and that it was one of Oprah’s favorite things! I also like a longer sweater even though I’m petite and think it looks great on you too. I definitely have to try Amazon Prime Waredrobe…especially since I ordered everything else there. Lol

  9. Love! This is perfect, head to toe! The length on the turtleneck doesn’t seem long at all…or maybe it’s how well you paired it with the rest. Either way I love it all!

  10. Not sure what happens but I type a message and submit but it doesn’t come through… Oh well trying again. Love the outfit… It’s totally you… and looks so comfy. I was in the bank line up when the towers were struck. I will never forget that day. My brother- In- Law was working one block done from the trade center and was late leaving for work that morning, got there and turned around and came right back. He was horrified by what he saw. Prayers and thoughts to those many families that were affected. May we never forget.

  11. Love the simplicity of this outfit! Looks great! And thank you for not tucking your sweater!! Lol. Personally, I’m not a fan of front or side tucking in general, but especially not with sweaters! 🙂

  12. I absolutely love this outfit! To me it is the perfect ensemble for looking pulled together, trendy ( those shoes!🧡) and totally comfortable all at the same time.

  13. Love this outfit! I just bought a pair of leather leggings from the Loft that would look amazing with this sweater. 🙂 Thanks Jo-Lynne! 😉

  14. Love this outfit! I just ordered the sweater in M and L. Not sure which will fit better. I have never tried the Amazon Prime Closet before. Looks like it will take longer to ship than the normal 2 day shipping and not arrive until Monday. Thanks for all the work you do to give us ideas!

  15. I like this length sweater with skinny jeans.  It was all the style, but I do notice more shorter, wider sweater/tops out now.  You really got it for a great price. I’ve never shopped clothes on  Amazon, but heard about it from Cyndi not long ago.  You look comfy and stylish at the same time.  I’m not a fan of turtle neck….don’t like something tight on my neck, but they are cute.  As for camo…not a fan. I think the look is for the younger.  Its pouring here now…..haven’t had RAIN forever.  (NW Oregon)

  16. PS  My husband has been a fire fighter/paramedic for almost 40 yrs now(Chief now) and now my son is the same.  I always pray for their safety, while they are running in, while we run out.
