Day 28 of 28 Days of Winter Outfits

I’m going out with a bang! This outfit is definitely a stretch for me, but I think it works, and I felt fun and sassy wearing it. I had a Silpada party to attend yesterday afternoon, so I figured that was as good a place as any to try out a look that is a bit out of my comfort zone.

Please ignore the clutter behind me. My husband started snapping pictures when I was on the phone, and he decided the lighting was too good to pass up. I just wish I’d taken 5 minutes to straighten my office.

I ordered this adorable t-shirt from my That Chic Mom Tees. I’ve been wanting to try some graphic tees with dressier outfits, and when I saw my friend Audrey sporting hers, I knew I had to have one.

I am in LOVE with this outfit. I decided to go all out and pair it with my camo pants. Then I tried it on with a black cardigan, a demin jacket, and this coated cotton moto jacket. I decided to go with the moto jacket. I love the shaping it provides through the midsection. I decided to carry this red bag. I thought it created a fun punch of color, and the chain strap seemed to be in keeping with the edgy outfit.

  1. I have this jacket and wore almost the exact same outfit yesterday but with black booties so of course I love it. You look fabulous ❤️

      1. That tee is amazing, I saw Audrey wearing one too and knew I had to get one! But I love the whole outfit! Very edgy but it works so good! It’s inspiring!

      1. I feel like it runs small. I ordered a medium and it’s snug. But the material is soooo soft and comfy. I was able to stretch it out a bit in the areas where it was hugging me. 😉

  2. That is definitely an interesting look. I like the red bag with it. I’m curious how you store your jewelry so that you can see what you have quickly while getting dressed. I have given up on costume jewelry because I ended up with tons of little boxes in a drawer and no time to open each one to see what was inside that might match what I am wearing. I just ended up wearing the same thing until it wore out or tarnished. Now I just have a few nicer gold or silver necklaces that I wear all the time because it seems too unwieldy to store twenty necklaces.. I also wear either white gold hoops or diamond stud earrings all of the time. I don’t even take them out at night. You seem to have a lot of different earrings and necklaces and rotate them around a lot successfully. So how do you do it?

    1. Omygosh, my jewelry is EVERYWHERE. None of it is in little boxes. 🙂 I should take a picture sometime. I have an old fashioned jewelry box on my dresser. Then I have a free-standing jewelry armoire that I thought was a great idea, b/c it’s got so many drawers and the necklaces all hang in the doors on the sides. But I’m lazy, and when I take things off, I usually end up tossing them on my dresser. I also have a pile sitting right beside me on my desk, and there are usually a pair of earrings on my night table and in my bathroom. So then I ordered some of the display pieces from Stella & Dot, so I can just take off bracelets and necklaces and hang them up, and they are sitting out where I can see what I have. I use those most often.

I have WAYYYY too much, and I’d happily get rid of half of it if I didn’t do what I do… but it comes in handy to keep my outfits interesting. Same with my closet. I used to get rid of any clothes I hadn’t worn in a month, but now I keep a lot of things just to have more variety when I’m styling for various posts. So yeah. That’s my story. Oh, and I often wear my diamond studs for days and sleep in them and everything. My hair is usually covering my ears anyway. LOL!

  3. You had to have that t-shirt!!! I love your edgy outfit, too. The clutch adds Just the right amount of bright color..

  4. i love that you wear shoes that also fit my lifestyle! I am a teacher and stand all day. I have to have support for these 47 year old feet!

  5. I love seeing you in your office! (He’s right – the lighting was great 🙂 ) Really cute outfit – different, fun, love the red purse. Not sure I could pull off that look, but I’m inspired seeing it on you. Thanks for presenting so many good fashion ideas.
