Alternatively titled, A Tale of Forsaken Chocolate Lava Cake.
Two years ago I had the privilege of attending the very first Mom Blogger Mixer, compliments of Maria Bailey and Walt Disney World. It was a whirlwind of a weekend, and the last night we were treated to dinner at the California Grill — an acclaimed restaurant atop the Contemporary Hotel, overlooking the Magic Kingdom. Dining at California Grill is an experience everyone should have at least once.
We dined with the Executive Chef at Epcot, and we were treated to the most popular items from the dinner menu — among them Sonoma Goat Cheese Ravioli with Sun-dried Tomatoes and a warm chocolate cake with molten center.
As it turned out, we were in a rush to make our reservations at Cirque Du Soleil La Nouba (I KNOW!) and we were forced to leave the table without finishing our desserts.
For two years I’ve been looking forward to coming back to the California Grill and finishing my Valrhona Chocolate Cake. Well tonight, my dream came true.
I also enjoyed the goat cheese lasagne and the oak-fired filet of beef. YUMMO.
omg that looks soooooo good. I now have more of a reason to go to WDW.
I’m drooling.
I unfortunately read your title with the word “foreskin” instead of “foresaken.” Needless to say, I was a bit taken aback by that! lol!
Oh my goodness – I think I need to cancel my diet right now!!
I am making my Disney dining reservations this weekend and will definitely have to eat there just for that cake…
Seeing those pictures makes me miss you guys!! And remember how that was the night I nearly ate myself to death. Literally was nauseous from eating SO MUCH!!!! Hope you are having an awesome time, love the pics. xoxo
I love it when food is served so elegantly. I dined at Napa Rose @ the Grand Californian this past weekend and it was DIVINE. I had scallops, swordfish, chardonnay, and strawberry ice cream – and it was all delicious (and beautiful).
