Dishes

I’m joining Shannon’s Spur-Of-The-Minute Dish Carnival over at Rocks In My Dryer.

This is my wedding china.  I wanted something simple and timeless.

I inherited my grandmother’s Haviland Apple Blossom china, which was her wedding china.  I love this set, but at the moment it is packed away.  I found this picture on the ‘net.

This is my Christmas china, although I use the term china loosely.  I use it everyday throughout the Christmas season.  I started this set when I was a new bride, and now I have quite a large collection.

And my everyday dishes, or what you would eat off of if you came to visit me.  Nothing fancy, but I love their simplicity.  And did you know that food looks best on white?

Finally, I give you, the plastic collection.  This one should be self-explanatory.

Okay, I showed you mine.  Now you show me yours!

  1. I like all your dishes! That is really nice that you inherited your grandmas dishes. They will be nice to have out maybe when you can get rid of the plastic stuff:)

I saw the WFMW post yesterday, but I didn’t realize there was a carnival for it now. I think I will join in. I am one of the few people who actually uses their china!

  2. I have a stack of plastic kid dishes, too! I just didn’t think to photograph them. 😉
You know, actually, I like the white ones. Very simple. Very clean. Nice. 🙂

  3. I found your blog after blog hopping and I really enjoyed seeing the pics of your dishes.

I never have owned china, though would like to at some point in my life.

I am trying to get a blog going, but I have to admit, I am not sure I have the ability to write as well as most of the blogs I have been reading. I really enjoyed reading yours. Will be back often to read more!

    Have a great weekend!
