Easter Pictures!

This was the scene outside our back window on the morning of the neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday.  Cause nothing says Happy Easter quite like a snow squall.

Here’s my son helping with the party preparations.

And a shot of my little girls in the throws of the egg hunt.

I have a great shot of my son with the neighborhood boys storming the back hill, but I didn’t want to post them without parental consent.  Suffice it to say, they scored some serious chocolate.

Sunday morning we dressed up in our Easter finery and then covered up with heavy winter coats and headed to church.  I got a shot of the kids after the church service.  Yes, we worship in a gym.  Fancy.

Can we say, tired eyes?  Look at my 2-year-old.  She fell asleep in the car on the way to lunch with my inlaws.

This morning we’re all slogging along.  After two full days and nights with no stomach drama, last night around 2am, we were rudely awoken to the 8-year-old groans that preface one of his attacks.  Since my husband had just come to bed after being up with our 2-year-old for hours (she has caught my headcold and couldn’t sleep), I was appointed to handle our son.

We came downstairs, as is our routine, and he watched TV for several hours while I dozed fitfully beside him.  Finally, in the wee hours of the morning, he fell asleep.  Needless to say, we’re all getting a slow start this morning.

All of us, that is, except my 5-year-old, who seems to be the only one escaping the ailments that are plaguing the rest of us.  So she is full of boundless energy, and is having a blast jumping around the house doing cheers with the pom-poms that she found in her Easter basket yesterday morning.  I think she has enough energy for all of us.  Too bad she can’t spread it around.

Hey, check out Chic Critique today.  I am dishing on a hair product you should DEFINITELY pass by if you find it on the shelf of your local drugstore.

  1. The kids look so nice! I hope you had a great day. #1 Boy was wining last night because he didn’t get to play with his buddies “all day”.

  2. It snowed here too (or was that the day before – they all run together). ANyway I feel your pain…I’m sure we haven’t seen our last snow storm yet either. *sigh*

    Gorgeous kids!

  3. Very cute!! I love your son’s GQ pose.

Our church used to do Easter Sunday in the local college gym too (so we could just do 1 big service), until it got too expensive.

  4. Do you guys go to a new church? OR are you just getting a new building. Almost every church I’ve been at since I’ve been an adult had services in a gym or cafeteria! 🙂

    CUTE kiddos!
