FAB FINDS UNDER $50

Greetings, friends! How are you this fine Thursday? As an aside, HOW did it get to be Thursday???

Seriously, as I wrote Thursday, I had to stop and think about it… it feels like Tuesday or maybe Wednesday to me, but certainly not Thursday!!! The only reason I was sure without checking my calendar is I remember sitting through my daughter’s piano lesson last night — and that is always on Wednesdays.

Does that ever happen to you? Life is moving so fast lately, I’m never quite sure what day it is.

So today I’ve rounded up some Fab Finds Under $50 for those who may be looking for some budget-friendly wardrobe updates this spring. Unfortunately a few of the items in the graphic have sold out or gone low inventory since it was created, so I added 5 more under $50 finds to the end of this post.

FAB FINDS UNDER $50

one // Unfortunately this is one of the pieces that are low inventory; sizes are limited, but it does come in 3 colors. I was drawn to the marsala, but the grey and white are nice too.

two // These stone ring drop earrings are fun for summer — the blue stones work well with any neutral plus yellows, reds, and pinks. I like how they’re delicate but large scale enough to be seen and make a subtle statement.

three // I wore this floral wrap top in Vero Beach and then again a few times since I’ve been home. The sleeves look long but they end up being more of a 3/4 length when you move around. It’s a nice one for women who like to cover their upper arms because it’s thin enough to wear in the summer as long as you’re not going to be outside in the heat for too long.

For some reason, the link isn’t working, but if you search “floral wrap top” on the Lucky Brand website, you will see it in the top row of results. it also comes in blue, and I have a size small, which is fine, but if in doubt, you may want to size up. I’d be curious to see how the medium fits — I have a feeling I’d like it. By the way, it’s marked down to $24 and it also comes in blue!

four // This baby doll top is really cute for women who are smaller on top. I personally can’t really wear this style, but I’m often drawn to them. It’s a level up from a basic tee and would be great with shorts, jeans, pants, or even a denim skirt (front tucked) this summer.

five // Sam Edelman shoes never disappoint; they’re a great marriage of style and quality at a moderate price point. This Gracie style retails for just under $50 and comes in a TON of colors. I know slides are trending, but I still prefer this thong style for slip-on sandals.

six // This bag sold out, and I’m so sad. It is actually the piece that inspired this post! I saw it and thought it was such a fabulous under-$50 find! It does come in a plain raffia version that is great if you need a neutral bag; it’s right in line with the straw bag trend that is so hot right now.

seven // This draped faux wrap top is a really nice piece to dress up or down. It would be great for work wear or church or anything for which you need something dressier than a t-shirt but still a top that’s easy to throw on with almost any jeans or pants. Because it’s fairly simple, it provides a nice canvas for fun jewelry. It comes in a ton of colors; I have it in black. It runs large, so size down; I have the small and I would love to have it taken in a bit at the waist.

eight // I love this top in the Green Lily color; it’s so fresh for spring and would pair beautifully with white shorts or cropped jeans. Bonus, it’s on sale for $13! The white is also $13. The grey and black are full price, but at $22, they’re still well under $50 and make great casual tops for layering or wearing alone.

nine // This delicate pendant by Kendra Scott is a nice everyday necklace, and it comes in silver, gold, and rose gold. It makes a great layering piece, or you can wear it alone for a simple accessory — perfect for dressing up shorts and a t-shirt or a casual dress this summer.

ten // Another pair of Sam Edelman sandals — I have these in black leather, and I love them. They typically run $84, but this Bistro Jabuck Nubuck color is a great neutral, and it’s marked down to $47. Some of the other colors are on sale too, but they vary — not all are under $50.

eleven // This cute, casual t-shirt dress comes down to $15 at checkout! It comes in a ton of colors; I ordered the black in a tall small, but it hasn’t come in yet. I usually wear regular sizes, but this one looks short, so I ordered the tall to see how that works for me. I’ll report back!

5 More Under $50 Finds

red chandelier earrings // I love these fringe earrings for popping a simple outfit. I tend to gravitate to hoops and studs, but I want to try wearing more statement earrings this summer.

beach bum sweatshirt // Isn’t this cute for chilly nights during the summertime? I think I need it for my beach trip in July to throw on with my denim shorts in the evenings. It has a magnetic snap closure as well as a zippered panel and wide patch compartment inside for your phone or wallet.

straw pom pom tassel tote // If you’re still looking for a summer pool and beach bag, this straw pom pom tassel tote is really cute, and the price is right! It comes down to $32 when you add it to your cart.

polarized aviator sunglasses // These aviators by Lily Pulitzer are super cute, and I can’t believe they’re under $50. They come in four fun summery shades, and they’re a great way to update your look without breaking the bank.

cotton slub maxi // Isn’t this dress the cutest??? Note the seaming details at the bottom of the skirt — so cute! I’m not sure I could pull this off because I generally need more structure, but I think it would be really great on the right person. I love how they paired it with gold thong sandals — I actually have those sandals. Maybe I should order the dress and see if I can wear it; it’s a great price.

Who else is noticing the beach theme in my last few picks? It was totally unintentional, but I’m clearly in vacation mode. Maybe it’s the impending Memorial Day weekend… the unofficial start of summer. Yippeee!!! Our beach trip is planned for the end of July, after we’ve moved into our new house. I have a feeling I’m going to be good and ready by then!

  1. Love the Sam Edelman thong sandal…..I linked over and there are a TON of colors !! Also, I just received that Old Navy dress. I ordered up a size to a Medium an it’s a bit oversized but some reviews said it was “fitted” and I personally do not like anything super fitted. For further size reference for your readers, I am 5’5 and 118lbs — I think once I wash the Medium it will be okay. Have a great Memorial Day Weekend.

  2. I’ve been eying that LuckyBrand floral blouse. I may have to pull the trigger on it. Also love the Sam Edelman sandals! On a side note, as a teacher in my last week of school, this week has been dragging for me, lol. I truly do love my job, but needless to say, the kids are wound (understandably). I *wish* it was flying by! 😀 😀

  3. So many great deals to be had right now! I’ve been saving some of my gift cards for these sales, but I honestly don’t know how to choose, lol. I love that maxi dress you shared, the hem was the first thing I noticed…so darn cute!

I have that ON dress in 2 colors, ha. I think I got them for $9 awhile back. I have one in regular length and the grey in tall. The tall is much longer than it should be on me, but I didn’t want another disposable dress due to shrinkage. It may not be as flattering, but I personally don’t mind the extra length with all the bending and squatting I have to do caring for my kiddo. I would also recommend sizing up if in between or if busty. It is more on the fitted side up top for sure.

  4. I bought number 7 yesterday in the pink color. I’m glad you said size down because I am in between and I went smaller. Funny you should say that about the week. It felt like Friday all day yesterday because it was my son’s last day of school! I now have a high school senior, again! Just went through this last year. Goes by way too fast. Enjoy your graduation season!

  5. So as you know I’m a 4th grade teacher and today I was showing the kids google images of Japanese Shoji screens (we’re reading a novel that takes place in Japan and I’m having the kids make their own Shoji screens)…..anyway one of the images actually linked to Pinterest and when I clicked on it to close it, my Pinterest page appeared and your post “18 Ways to Wear White Jeans” was right on top. One of the boys said it aloud “18 ways?! What are the other 17?” Then a couple girls started laughing and one said “well you could cut them and wear them as shorts!” 🙂 It was pretty funny and of course thought I had to share with you!
Great post today – the LOFT earrings and Kendra Scott necklace are both really cute.

  6. Jo-Lynne can you please tell me where you stayed when you went to Vero Beach. I’m looking for a nice hotel.

    1. Sure, we stayed at the Disney Vacation Club resort. It was nice, but it’s VERY Disney. I’d recommend looking into other options. Susan — a regular reader here — lives in Vero. Maybe she can chime in with some suggestions. I have let her know about your comment. 🙂

    2. Kim, if you’re looking for a nice place on the beach I recommend Kimptons Vero Beach Hotel and Spa or Costa de’Este Hotel and Spa. On the mainland, but still on the east side of Vero is Hampton Inn Hotel and Suites or SpringHill Suites by Marriott. Have fun!!!
