Fall Favorites On Sale This Weekend

Happy Saturday, friends! There are so many stellar sales going on this weekend, you’d think it was Black Friday already. It seems like the sales start earlier and earlier every year.

Today I’ve got a few new try-ons for you, and I’m rounding up a bunch of my fall favorites that are on sale right now, including some of my tried and true beauty products from the Sephora sale.

Fall Favorites On Sale This Weekend

Let’s see… where to begin?!?

J.Crew’s Friends & Family Event is going on now, and Rewards members get 40% off your purchase with code FAMILY, while everyone else gets 30% off your purchase with code FRIENDS.

Also, shipping is free for Rewards members, so it’s really worth it to sign up. (It’s free to join, and you do earn cash back to spend later!)

This mockneck in supersoft yarn is soft and stretchy and very flattering; I recommend sizing up in this one. I have the medium for a little extra wiggle room since it is rather fitted.

This pointelle sweater is super soft and cozy and comes in a bunch of colors. It’s TTS; I have the small.

My NYC tee was October’s top seller. No need to put it away with your summer clothes, just put a cardigan on top (see picture below) and keep wearing it! Size up; I have the medium.

J.Crew Factory has 50% off everything, prices as marked, and an extra 50% off clearance with code GOTIME.

I was really impressed with the fit of this open front cardigan, and this camel color is such a great classic. It also comes in charcoal, green, and orchid; and it runs TTS (wearing a small.)

This leopard cardigan is so classy, I love it over an all-black look for work or dinner out, or you can wear it with a t-shirt and jeans on the weekends. It’s TTS; wearing a small.

The sweater jacket is a thing, and I like this one a lot. It’s great for work wear, or you can totally make it casual as well, as I did here. It’s TTS; wearing a small.

This satin cowl neck top is perfect for the holidays, and it also comes in black and ivory. It’s TTS; wearing a small.

And this leopard pullover is so fun to wear. Again, it can be dressed up or down, and it’s a really nice quality for the price point. It’s TTS; wearing a small.

I have one random Anthro sale item… There is not a sitewide sale on clothing, although home and furniture is 20% off, which is a great opportunity to shop for holiday gifts. They have such nice things.

I love this bell sleeve sweater, and it does come in other patterns/colors. I have worn it with both blue jeans and grey jeans. It’s TTS; wearing the small.

Madewell is having 25% off sweaters and shoes. Also, be sure to join Madewell Insiders for free shipping and free returns on all orders!

This donegal ribbed mockneck is so cute, I love the flecked pattern in the knit. It comes in grey and a gorgeous pink as well. And Nordstrom is price-matching, if you prefer to shop there!

I would say it runs true to size, but I did size up to a medium for some extra breathing room due to the more fitted style. I’m not sure it was necessary, but I didn’t want to bother returning it. All that to say, I’d go with your usual Madewell size if ordering.

This sweater coat is really cute, but it is HUGE. I’m wearing the small, and I would definitely need the XS if keeping. This is a great piece for those of you living in milder winter climates.

I love this cozy turtleneck, and I cannot wait to start wearing it. It’s going to be quite cold here next week, so I’ll be breaking it out soon! It also comes in ivory…

This sweater runs TTS; I have the small.

And this stripe Kent cardigan is still available in a couple of sizes. SUCH a great fall cardigan — and perfect for Thanksgiving Day! Just wear it over a top you don’t mind wearing alone if it gets really hot in the kitchen. Nordstrom is price matching on this one too.

LOFT is having a 40% off sale with code FESTIVE, and I stopped in yesterday to pick up an online order.

I haven’t had time to try on the things from my online order, but I’ll try to add those later today. In case you’re curious, here’s what’s in my bag:

While I was there, I tried on a few more things in the dressing room…

I absolutely LOVE this check scarf. The camel and black is such a classy combo, and it just so happened to go with my outfit yesterday!

This scoopneck tee is a nice piece to have for layering under cardigans this fall and winter.

The scoopneck is more flattering than a crew, and it’s a comfortable thin cotton material. I sized up to a medium to have room for shrinkage. (They call it a v-neck… 🤨 It’s definitely a very rounded V.)

I fell in love with this herringbone moto coat online, but I wasn’t terribly impressed when I saw it in the store. It’s just not a great quality, but the style and color are definitely fun. Maybe if it was steamed… I dunno.

Also, it is clearly too big on me. This is the medium, and I would need a small.

Conversely, this ribbed open cardigan is the bomb dot com. (Does anyone still say that?)

This sweater is the epitome of a flattering cardigan. It checks all the boxes — on-shoulder seams, a straight fit in a thin ribbed knit for a slender silhouette, and the perfect longer-but-not-duster length.

It’s TTS (I’m wearing a small) and it comes in a cool shade of camel as well as a gorgeous soft blue heather.

And this is an outfit I wore earlier this week…

This poncho is really cute on, I love that it has full sleeves so you can wear it with or without an under layer. Apparently it’s sold out in black, but there are a few sizes left in the camel.

There’s also a flecked version in ivory and navy. My daughter actually tried on the ivory yesterday and loved it.

The sleeves are 3/4-length, though, so be aware of that. You could still wear a long-sleeve tee underneath, but I like it better like this.

This leopard v-neck sweater is really cute on, but it’s a little scratchy, if that sort of thing bothers you.

This hoodie sweater is soft and fun, great for casual days.

This blossom ruffle cuff blouse is really pretty and flattering on. It’s TTS; wearing a small.

And then I have a few other random try-ons from the week… Pardon the dirty dressing room mirrors. 😳

This blouson v-neck sweater is really fun, and I love the bright pink. It’s soft and stretchy, and it runs TTS; this is the small.

I have it front-tucked, by the way. It’s actually a little longer than a lot of sweaters these days, with a 28″ length measurement.

I really like the styling of this Court & Rowe speckled turtleneck sweater, although I wish it didn’t have a drop shoulder. This is a new brand to me, but it seems like nice quality. The flecked knit is really pretty, and it comes in a ton of other colors.

The length on this one is 25″, for comparison’s sake. I like it left untucked. It’s TTS; this is the small.

This NIC+ZOE Starry Eyed Sweater is on the spendy side, but I thought it was a really nice option for a polished but understated holiday sweater.

It’s interesting and different, and I think it would be very forgiving if you carry a little extra weight.

I ordered this Daily Ritual wool blend hooded sweater because I wanted to show you a more affordable option to the cashmere hoodie I wear a lot. I actually tried this last year, so I knew I liked it. I had the grey last year, so I ordered black and navy this time. It has a really flattering fit, although the hood is rather heavy.

Here it is in the blue…

The blue is a small, and the black is a medium, and honestly, I’m not sure I can tell the difference. I guess I’d recommend sizing up if in doubt.

These are the Dolce Vita Tierra suede ankle booties, and they’re really cute on. I love the lower heel for a change, and the taupe color is a great neutral. They also come in black and a dark grey, and they’re currently on sale for $96.

Plus if you buy a L+T Charity Days Savings Pass, you can get an extra 30% off!

Finally, these are the Frame Le High ankle skinny jeans in a dark grey wash. I’ve been wanting to update my grey jeans, and I was waiting for a sale, but it wasn’t happening, and there just aren’t a lot of options in this shade (most are off-black right now, which is fine, but not what I want) so I decided to just try these since I’m always linking to them as a similar option. (Mine sold out.)

I really like the fit, but I’m hesitant to keep Frame jeans b/c the black ones I once had used to slide down on me and drive me bananas. I’m wondering if these will do better because they’re a higher rise. They’re a verrrrry soft, thick denim — super comfy, so I plan to wear them around a bit with the tags on and see how they do. I’ll keep you posted!

Then yesterday I rounded up my favorites from the Nordstrom Fall Sale, so don’t miss those!

A few of the highlights…

The Tory Burch Minnie travel flats are on sale in select colors, including a lot of the suede. They’re 33% off, which is the biggest discount on these, and that leads me to believe they may be getting discontinued. That means, if you like them, now is the time to grab them.

They run TTS, or you may want to size up if you have wider feet or higher arches. As always, returns are free at Nordstrom, so if in doubt, order two sizes and return whatever doesn’t work out for you.

I purchased this The North Face puffer at the #NSale, and I love it. So, so warm, and flattering for a puffer. The black is gone, but the ivory and magenta are gorgeous too. It’s TTS, or size up if in between; I have the medium.

And this Kenneth Cole boucle coat is a really nice dress coat at a great price. There are a few sizes left in this gorgeous blue, and it comes in a few other really pretty colors as well. I recommend sizing up if in between; the medium fits me perfectly.

These Lucky Brand wedge booties are very comfortable, and waterproof!!! They also come in a bunch of other colors.

These leopard pumps are very walkable, thanks to the 3″ block heel, and they’re so gorgeous. I love how they dress up a casual outfit, or you can wear them with dresses and trousers to work.

And lastly, you don’t want to miss the Sephora Beauty Insider Event!!! You can save up to 20% off depending on your Insider level with code HOLIDAYSAVE.

  1. Great post!  So many cute sweaters out there right now!  I really need to wear my cardigans more.  My inclination is to grab a pullover sweater every day because it’s easy, but the cardigans are a nice change.

  2. JoLynne you just look more shapely each time you do a try-on. Thank you for this very informative post today. I swear every time I turn around there’s another great sale happening. And then it’s going to be Christmas. What’s a Grandma to do. Hope you have a wonderful weekend.

    God’s Blessings,

    Sharon

  3. Love love love this post! So full of goodies galore! I agree with Sharon you are adorable in all these clothes.

CA weather has been high 70s so looking at sweaters is kinda ironic but the cold snap will come I’m sure and then I’ll be looking for them! Bought several in the nordy sale. they are in the cedar hope chest waiting their moment.

  4. 1. The link to JCrew Factory isn’t working for me. I’m interested in the leopard top but it doesn’t go there.
    2. Did you close your JLS Fashion Facebook group? I just realized I have not  gotten notifications in quite some time and when I went up FB this morning I couldn’t find the group.

Hope you’re having a great Saturday! ☀️ It’s 86 here and we’re in shorts and tees and plan on doing some gardening and cleaning the garage.😊

      1. Okay I’ll try your link again on my laptop instead of my phone.
So it looks like I inadvertently “left”’ your JLS FB group. Not sure how except that I remember going in my settings to turn off email notifications and I’m thinking maybe I closed the group from view- IDK.
        Thanks 😊

  5. Thanks for all these try-ons with your honest and helpful comments. I feel like i’m right there in the fitting room with you. And if I was with you I’d remind you that you should try wearing your new belt with those Frame Le High grey pants that you’re worrying about – maybe that will prevent them from slipping down?

    1. Hm, it’s worth a try. They aren’t too big, it’s not that, it’s just something about the denim. It fits snug, never bags out, but slides down — at least that one pair did. I am going to try these and see b/c I like everything else about them.

  6. Great outfits. You always looks great. I have the NYC tee shirt and I love it.  Also like all the animal print shoes!! I was surprised to see you didn’t put a pair of red shoes with the tee shirt. How about some ideas for red shoes for the holidays? We can always use a new pair right!! 😀
    Thanks

  7. I’m at a conference in Albuquerque and found some great gray jeans at Nordstrom Rack for less than $40! Articles of Society Honolulu-love them!

  8. Great post!!! Loved all the sweater options and always like to hear about what your and Cyndi’s latest makeup finds (or the tried and true)

  9. Hi JoLynne,

I wanted to thank you for your honest feedback and opinions on all of the clothes you share. For example, the Loft coat and your concern for quality and the Frame jeans and your history with them sliding down. I follow several fashion bloggers and none of them provide the same level of service that you do!!!!  It is much appreciated!!!!
