Fall Outfit Inspo from Maui Jim

Hello, friends, and welcome back to 26 Days of Fall Fashion! Today’s outfit is inspired by these Maui Jim shades.

As a Maui Jim ambassador, I get to try a lot of their styles, but Moonbow continues to be one of my favorites. I’ve enjoyed the Pink w/ Pink Tokyo frames from last summer, and this year they sent me the White Tokyo w/ Gloss Black to try.

Like all Maui Jim sunglasses, these have their patented PolarizedPlus2® lens technology that not only shields your eyes from glare and harmful UV but also enhances the world’s true colors in vivid detail.

These lenses are the Neutral Grey, which have the highest light reduction for rich color and contrast, and they’re made of Maui Jim’s SuperThin Glass for the best clarity.

But what I really love about these sunglasses are the frames. Usually tortoise frames come in earth tones, but I find this grey and black combo so chic and elegant, and I like how they flatter my dark hair and cool skin tone.

Plus they’re made of a super lightweight acetate material with a saddle style fixed bridge for added support, and they have a nice crisp hinge that closes with a sturdy snap. I’m always amazed at how Maui Jim manages to make their glasses sturdy and lightweight at the same time.

I put this outfit together with these sunglasses in mind. I love how the blush and grey compliments the colors in the frames.

This sweater came in my last Trunk Club, and I’m totally in love with these bell sleeves. For size reference, I’m wearing the small.

Besides the drama of the sleeves, the material is super soft and comfortable against the skin. It comes in 5 luscious colors, and I’d be hard pressed to pick a favorite. I’m glad my Trunk Club stylist took that decision out of my hands!

The grey jeans are from last year so I’ll link to some similar options below.

I added a long pendant necklace to break up the front of the top, and I wore simple pearl earrings.

Finally, I went with a lighter grey bag and light grey lace-up flats to complete the look. I like how they echo the lighter colors from the frames of my sunglasses.

  1. Thanks for styling some gray jeans! They look great with the blush sweater. I am enjoying your fall fashion series!

  2. After 3 years of mowing and weed eating my MJ Punch Bowls are quite sad looking (although I’m so thankful they protected my eyes and why I didn’t throw a pair of safety goggles over them to protect them is beyond me).  I still use them for mowing but I did have my prescription put in a pair of Popoki’s and man o man the view is so vibrant!  I am such a fan of this brand.  And on a different note, your outfit looks really nice. Grey is so versatile.  Have a great day!

  3. Love the sweater– ordered it in a different color. I’ve stopped buying crew necks for the most part because they’re just not flattering on me. The long necklace helps, but I still always end up with a “meh”. I think the combination of the long necklace and the bell sleeves looks great, though! And I love the gray tortoise shell glasses! As you mentioned, most are in brown tones, which is what I always wear. Thanks for sharing!!

    1. Thank you! Today is gorgeous. High of 70 and sunny with low humidity. It definitely varies this time of year. I almost turned the heater on early last week and then I had the A/C back on this week.

  4. Hi Jo-lynn, you have a beautiful face and contours.
Have you ever considered getting a tiny, dainty nose stud?

I’m 38 years old and, I think I’m in a mid-life crises, sine I wanted one for years and haven’t got the courage to get it.
