Fall Skincare Routine with Colleen Rothschild Beauty

The weather is already turning here in Philly, and it has me thinking about updating my skincare routine for the cold days ahead.

My skin tends to be very dry in the fall and winter, and I also have a lot of redness and discoloration that tends to flare up in the cold. In addition to all that, I’m closing in on the big FIVE-OH, so I need products that not only moisturize and sooth my dry/sensitive skin, but also help fight the signs of aging.

I’m a big fan of Colleen Rothschild Beauty products, and I’ve used them off and on for years, so this fall I decided to return to a skincare regimen that I already know works well for me.

I ordered some of my old favorites, but I also wanted to try out a few of their newer offerings — like the CBD Face Oil I’ve been hearing so much about.

This product is… interesting! For one thing, it smells like hemp, which I suppose is to be expected. But the scent does dissipate quickly, and the results are worth it.

It’s formulated with 300mg of Broad Spectrum Cannabidiol (CBD) Oil, Hemp Seed oil, and Tiger Grass extract to help calm the look of redness and nourish sensitive skin.

I’ve been using it in the mornings, before my sunscreen, to moisturize my skin and help calm down some of the redness before applying makeup.

I also ordered the Face Oil N°9 and Radiant Cleansing Balm, two of my longtime Colleen Rothschild favorites.

The Radiant Cleansing Balm smells absolutely delicious — it’s like having a facial at home.

I sometimes use it in the morning, but I always use it at night because it removes all traces of dirt and makeup. It’s even gentle enough to remove your eye makeup.

You apply it to dry skin, and then gently massage it into your face. It starts to get all warm and melty, and it dissolves all of your makeup as well as dirt and debris from the day.

It comes with a muslin cloth, which you wet in warm water, and then lay it over your face.

I like to hold it there for a minute, and breathe in the scent of the product. It’s heavenly! Then you gently wipe off all the cleanser and makeup, etc.

You’re left with skin that is smooth and clean and radiant, and it never feels tight or dry.

I often follow up with the Matcha Tea Treatment Toner, which is pictured in the graphic at the top of the post. It’s delightfully soothing as well, and it helps take down redness and minimizes the look of pores.

Once or twice a week, I use the Micro-Mineral Resurfacing Scrub to unclog my pores and smooth out my skin. I can tell when I haven’t used this in a few days, because my skin starts to feel rough to the touch.

The Face Oil N°9 has long been a wintertime go-to for when my skin is dry and flaky. I even have my 17-year-old daughter using it because she couldn’t find anything else to get rid of her flaky dry skin.

This product combines oils and vitamins that helps reduce the appearance of spots and wrinkles, and it also improves the skin’s moisture barrier for enhanced cellular function and hydration.

Best of all, it leaves no greasy residue. I try to wait about 20 minutes before going to bed, though, so it has time to really sink into my skin and doesn’t come off on my pillow.

And this fall, I decided to add the Extreme Recovery Cream to add to my evening skincare routine.

This product is exactly what it sounds like — a thick, creamy moisturizing cream designed to fight signs of fine lines and wrinkles while evening out skin tone and texture.

I’ve been applying the Extreme Recovery Cream before the Face Oil N°9, as suggested in the PM Routine — one of Colleen Rothschild’s value packs.

If you’re new to Colleen Rothschild products, the PM Routine is a great place to start.

And when you’re updating your fall skincare routine, don’t forget your hands!

While I was placing my order, I made sure to restock my Restorative Hand Cream.

This product isn’t greasy at all. It just sinks into the skin and soothes dry, chapped, cracked hands, leaving your skin feeling smooth and soft.

It also makes a nice gift for a woman in your life… maybe your child’s teacher, or someone who has been a bright spot in your life during this stressful time.

If you’re looking for a new skincare routine, this is a great time to give Colleen Rothschild Beauty products a try because her Birthday Sale launches today, and you can save 25% off your order with code BDAY25!

It’s a good thing I started thinking ahead, because it looks like we are going to get an early fall this year. My skin has already started feeling the effects of the chilly weather we had over the weekend, so I’m really glad I’m getting ahead of it before I start getting flaky and dry.

    1. Hey Gina, I thought I’d let you know what I do as I’ve used the cleaning balm for a year or so off and on. I just rinse it in the shower and then throw it in the wash with my regular clothes once a week.

    2. I try to wash it every 2 or 3 times I use it. Ideally, I would wash after each use, but I’m still working on collecting enough to be able to do that. I have several now, after using this balm for a few years.

  1. I have been wanting to try this brand. I am looking for a new day moisterizer, which product do you use under your makeup? Thanks
