Fall Styles to Wear Now and Later

Thanks to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and all the great fall pieces that are in stores right now, I’m kind of over shopping for summer. But when I buy things for fall, I’m anxious to start wearing them. Fortunately, tons of current styles can be worn now and later with a little creativity. Here are some of my favorites.

Fall Styles to Wear Now and Later

The Lush V-Neck Crepe Blouse is a perfect wear now and later piece. I’ve seen girls pairing this with shorts, and you can definitely wear it with jeans and sandals this summer if you have a cool evening. Come fall, it’s a great piece to wear with jeans and booties, and you can layer a cardigan over it if you get chilly.

This Pleionie Split Neck Mixed Media Tunic is another one. Same story. Wear it now with cropped jeans and sandals and then in the fall with ankle jeans and booties.

Another Lush piece that I love is this Bell Sleeve Woven Shift Dress. I’ve seen a few other bloggers style it, and it’s super cute on. It is short, but you can always pair it with leggings this fall, or even wear it with skinny jeans.

This Maggie London Scuba Midi Dress is a classic. The color looks like fall, but the sleeve length allows you to start wearing this now. It would be stunning with a metallic strappy sandal if you have an event coming up this summer, and in the fall you can wear it with open toe booties or tights and ankle boots when it gets colder. Throw on a leather jacket for warmth if you need it.

These AG ‘The Legging’ Ankle Jeans are the most popular jeans in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, and they were recently restocked. The price tag is still steep, but if you like the distressed style, these are the gold standard. You can wear these year-round, and they do wonders for the rear view.

For a non-distressed style under $100, try the Joe’s Honey Curvy Skinnies or the Hudson Colette. The Paige Verdugo is another great choice, and it’s currently available in all sizes. You may want to size up in these.

Peep-toe booties are a great transition piece. They are cute with skirts and dresses as well as ankle jeans or even shorts. I like the TOMS Majorca and the BCBG Carolena. I keep hoping they’ll restock the Vince Camuto Kateen, but it is currently unavailable.

This Tory Burch Convertible Leather Crossbody Bag was sold out in French Grey, but it’s back in stock! I bought this to style with a few outfits for the blog, and I expected to return it, but it goes with so much, and it’s such a versatile size, that I think I’m going to have to keep it. The Bark is also a super versatile color that you can carry now and later, although it appears to be sold out again. It was in stock yesterday. If you want the French Grey, grab it while you can. You can always return it for free if you change your mind.

For a more budget-friendly bag, I love the Ravin Tote, and it was recently restocked in Tan Shore. Oh, crap! It is gone again! It was there yesterday. Keep an eye out; they might restock again.

And finally, this Alex and Ani bangle set can be worn any time of year. I have the gold pair, and I’ve been wearing it with everything!

  1. I ordered the bell sleeve dress – and had to return it 🙁 it was WAYYYY too short and I really wanted to wear it as a dress vs a tunic. Have a great weekend – safe travels on your return home.

  2. All great, versatile pieces. I never thought about pairing the Lush dress with leggings. Great idea, that would be adorable!
I’m in the process of weeding out the keepers from returns and boxing up. Tough decisions because I love almost everything, haha!

  3. Jo-Lynne, Both of the tops are great transition pieces.
I pray that your trip home is safe with all the nasty weather along the east coast.
    God bless!

  4. I’ve followed you for a few months now and just today saw that you had a recipes section!!! SOOO mad I didn’t see this before, but excited to check them out from now on… (Also, just clicked on the re-stocked TB gray cross body bag, can’t wait for it to get here) ????

  5. I’ve been loving the look of the crepe blouse for weeks – it seems that another of my regular bloggers recommends it each day. I ordered it in coral from the big Nordstrom sale and was so bummed that the sleeves were super skinny. I don’t think I have big arms, but they were definitely too big for this blouse! Sadly, I’ll be sending it back. Maybe I’ll try the tunic…wish me luck!

  6. Have a safe trip back home! I bought two of the Lush vnecks when you first posted it and I love them!! ????I just tried buying the Tory burch purse but it is not available ????.

  7. I purchased two of the Lush vee neck tops, and absolutely love them. I bought many items the first day of the Nordstrom anniversary sale. I loved each and every item. Sadly a few things I bought were too big, and were sold out, so I couldn’t exchange them. However, I was able to keep way more items than I had to return. Your post really helped me when it came to shopping the anniversary sale. I’m not ready for summer to be over, but just thinking about wearing the pieces that I bought makes Fall more appealing.
    I hope you’re home safely.
