Fall White Jeans Outfit with Ankle Boots {OR MULES}

Happy Friday, friends! Cheers to a long weekend! 🥂 It’s day 4 of 22 Days of Fall Fashion, and I’m sharing a fall white jeans outfit.

Someone asked me to style white jeans with ankle boots, and I always enjoy wearing this combination in the fall, so I put this look together with that request in mind.

These are the white jeans I’ve been wearing all summer, and they’re currently marked down to $34.99 plus an additional 40% off that with code HIFALL. That’s pretty much giving them away. They also come in petite and tall sizes, but I’m wearing the 28 regular.

I love the fit, and they’re nice and thick and not see-through at all. They have a 26 1/2″ inseam, so they’re almost a crop length on me, and they pair really well with ankle boots.

These booties are one of my favorite #NSale purchases, and this is the Tuscan Taupe. The quality is really good, but they’re a little stiff at first, and they run small. If ordering, definitely size up half.

When putting together a fall white jeans outfit, you want it to look intentional… not like you just forgot to put away your white jeans after Labor Day. So pairing the white jeans with booties immediately sets it up for more of a fall look. Incorporating a fall color is another way to style your white jeans for fall.

This linen cap sleeve tee in a gorgeous shade of rust is perfect for this in-between season because the linen fabric keeps you cool, but the color gives a nod to fall. It looks great against any denim wash as well as neutrals like black, olive, and beige… and also white!

It has cap sleeves and a scoop neck and a slightly curved hem with small slits on the sides. It’s a great length too; it’s 23″ so I can wear it untucked or front-tucked.

I ordered this top straight from the Sanctuary website, but you can also find it at Zappo’s. It runs true to size; I have the small.

And of course, I had to put my denim jacket on top. It’s true to size, and on sale for 30% off.

I really like the combination of denim, white, and rust; and the taupe boots and bag support the look without competing with it.

My bag is an older style, so I can’t link to the exact color, but it’s the R Minkoff Love crossbody.

It used to come in tons of colors, but I think they’re phasing it out because there aren’t a whole lot to choose from right now. I’ve always loved it because it gives me all the Chanel vibes at a fraction of the price, and it’s still a nice quality leather bag.

For accessories, I wore silver Kendra Scott filigree hoops and a Victoria Emerson boho cuff.

The Alicante boho cuff is one of my favorite Victoria Emerson pieces. I love the combination of metals, beads, and coins; and adds such great texture and shine to an outfit. She’s doing a BOGO free sale for Labor Day weekend.

And good news! My rag & bone sunnies are finally on sale again!

I tend to wear my black frames more, but they’re quite bold. I really love how the brown tortoiseshell complement the softer colors in this look, and the oversized square frames are so chic.

If booties with short sleeves isn’t your thing, another footwear option would be my Madewell Remi mules.

While the taupe booties blend in with my skin tone and keep the look grounded, the python print adds pattern and texture and another element of interest to this fall white jeans outfit.

I styled these mules for Tuesday’s look with the brown sweater and olive pants, but don’t they look amazing with the white jeans too?

These shoes are surprisingly easy to walk in, and the quality is really nice for the price point. I found them to run true to size; I have my usual 8.

This is definitely my favorite look so far in our fall style series. In fact, I wore this exact outfit to church on Sunday. We photographed this outfit last so I could go straight to church without needing to change first.

I’ll definitely wear the booties with this outfit when I want a slightly edgier look, and I’ll probably gravitate to them more once the weather cools down. But for now, I think these mules are just too fun not to wear any chance I get.

  1. I was thinking the other day (now that the bloggers are all styling transition looks to fall) about white jeans and a sage top (I seem to have 3 different ones from Loft from the last few years; all sleeveless). I don’t look good in orange/brown, but sage is a fall color. I haven’t taken my booties out yet, but that may be soon, at least the peep toe ones.
For now teaching online I only dress on “top” and wear yoga pants on the bottom so I can take a break during the day for yoga. But I am remembering to use accessories (thank you, JoLynne), and even though the students can’t see most of that, it makes me feel more “dressed”. At some point we will be going out, and next semester we hope teaching on campus.
    Have a wonderful weekend!

    1. I’ve done sage and white too – let me find it.

      There’s this – https://jolynneshane.com/olive-cold-shoulder-top-white-jeans-under-100.html

Oh and this, it’s darker than sage, I guess: https://jolynneshane.com/short-sleeve-sweater-outfit.html

But I was thinking of this one – https://jolynneshane.com/sanctuary-sylvie-tiered-hem-linen-tee-spring-outfit.html

Terrible photo editing, lol, but I love the sage green with white jeans and leopard mules.

  2. Love, love, love this outfit. It’s simple but a perfect transition outfit for fall. I really like how the mules pulled all the colors together and that top reminds me of pumpkin spice. I just had my white jeans out yesterday and said I planned to keep them out longer and wear them into fall and now I know how to style them. Just wish these were still available in my size, boy what a great price!

  3. Love that your outfits are basic and not fru fru. Is that a word! Great look on you. Enjoy your friends. Sounds like a safe place to be.

  4. I absolutely love this outfit. Perfect way to wear white jeans into fall. I would never have thought to put these pieces together in an outfit and you look amazing in it. Enjoy your weekend.

  5. Thanks! I love white jeans and ordered these-hope I love them! I’m going through my closet this weekend, so I should have lots of extra room! Also, bought my son some khakis at a great price! I love the booties, but I’m still a mule-hater!:) I can’t wear them anyway without a strap, so to each his/her own!!! 🙂 Have a great 3-day weekend!

  6. Love both of these looks especially with those mules. It was such a hot summer I didn’t get to wear my white jeans as much so looking forward to wearing them once the weather cools. I like to wear them at least until after our thanksgiving in October ! This long weekend will be by the pool and maybe a last trip to our favorite beach it’s suppose to be hot so we shall see. I’ve entertained a lot this summer so time for a break 😂

  7. Love this outfit…especially since I have the jacket and jeans.  The snake mules are cute but I get the creeps looking at the snake print!  Ridiculous, huh!!!  Being in the south, we were raised to not wear white after Labor Day but this outfit has changed my mind!  Can’t wait to get the top in.  Sadly, the boho bracelet is sold out1

  8. Love this outfit. I’m so bummed these jeans are out of stock. Do you know if they’re available anywhere else? I wear the same size as you. 🙂

  9. I’m with you on preferring the mules with this outfit.  Both looks are great though!  We are staying home alone this weekend.  Our big plans include doing inventory on all of the ammo, replacing the ceiling fan in our family room, and I hope to get my fallish shirt sleeve tops out of the attic.  I know you are jealous of our exciting plans 🤣!  Oh, we are going to grill steaks for our Sunday night dinner since it won’t be as hot & humid.  Have a fabulous Friday!

      1. Well, Larry informed me last night that we can’t install the new ceiling fan this weekend because we need to buy some sort of plate to cover part of the hole from the one that is up now.  So, you don’t get to be jealous just yet.  If only we had bought the plate when we were at Home Depot on Thursday.  Ugh!

  10. That sage green bomber jacket you linked earlier would look cute with this outfit for a variation on the jean jacket. Ok ladies…. I purchased my first pair of mules ever from the NSale. The smaller size came and my foot barely fits. Afraid the larger size might clomp. Do you have your mules fit snug? How does everyone size for them? They are cognac suede pointed ones. I’m hoping I don’t look like an elf…. 🤣

  11. Just ordered the white jeans through your link. They are non returnable at the $26.00 price (after discounts). They look like a million bucks on you so it is worth the gamble! Love both the booties and the mules look. I worry that I have “long feet” in mules because I am 5’4″ and wear an 8.5 shoe. Depends on the shape of the shoe. It looks like a hobbit if the shoes are too long. Someone else mentioned elf, I see a theme here. Thank you for the inspiration and for the work you do!
