Fashion Faux Pas

Can someone please explain this atrocity to me?

Evidently these oxford pumps are the latest rage.  In what parallel universe are these remotely flattering?

I just don’t get it.

UPDATE:  Ramiele wore a pair last night on American Idol!

  1. Eeeeewwww! Those qualify for Ugly Shoe of the Year 2008. Oh! Great idea! You should start a carnival where people post about ugly fashion finds! I used to to that on my cork board at work until they made me take it down because one of our workers dressed like what I was making fun of. I’d do it, but nobody reads my blog, but you have TONS of traffic so yours would be perfect!

  2. The closed toe kind are really cute with a shirt dress and tights. Maybe not the peep toe kind, those you have found are definitely not cute.

  3. OK, the issue here is– does it want to be a winter shoe or a spring/summer shoe? It’s trying to fit into both worlds. I would define this monstrocity as hideous!

  4. sorry, they DEFY explanation……
all i know for sure is that they would result in ugly-looking cankles for me…..(shudder)….

  5. The closed tow kind are really cute with a shirt dress and tights. Maybe not the peep toe kind, those you have found are definitely not cute.

  6. Ouch. Maybe in the Elizabethan age, but even then I don’t think open-toed would be modest enough! And Ramiele… as cute as she is I wouldn’t TOUCH her fashion sense with a 10 foot pole. She needs a new stylist! Get her omething more flattering for her body- STAT!

  7. Sorry, these aren’t for me. I usually can see some ‘cuteness’ with many shoes, even those I would not wear, but I can’t with this pair.

    Oh my lands, no!

  8. These would only look good on a really petite girl who is most likely an early twenty something trying too hard to look like a professional. But for the rest of us….ick….

  9. Christina Aguillara would wear them with panache. I say these belong in the catagory with high-heeled sneakers and Klute hooker boots.

  10. Yuck! Those are atrocious, awful, the opposite of fashion. I’ve seen them on several large fashion blogs and sites (ahem…SheFinds) and I just can’t find the beauty in them…
