First Day of School — One Down And One To Go!

Here he is, all spit-shined and ready for his first day of school!

R wanted to walk with him down to the bus stop.  They talked the whole way.  This is what I’m going to miss most about having my little guy in school — seeing his relationship with his sisters develop.  He is such a good big brother, especially to R.  C, well that’s another story.  I think she’s glad to see him go to school.  But R already misses him.  She keeps asking, "Ear Day-Did?" which is "Where’s D?" in her little almost-2-year-old-speak.

See that little head with the blue shirt, near the front of the pack of kids?  That’s my boy!

I was so pleased to see the same bus driver for the third year in a row.

Well, he’s off! I can’t wait to see him this afternoon and hear about how everything went.

Now it’s time to wake up C and get her ready to go meet her teacher.  Say a prayer for us!  I haven’t been talking about school with her much at all, but whenever the topic comes up, she seems okay about going now, thanks to that phone call!  Who would have thought a little phone message could mean so much!?

  1. Hope she has a great day!!
Little Brother heads off for his first school bus ride in 2 more days. He is SO excited–he’s been the one crying at the bus departure for years now, watching the Big Kids all leave without him.

  2. So glad it went well for your son. Sorry that R. will miss him so much! Hope meeting C.’s goes well–I’m so glad her teacher called, sounds like that was the trick!
