Floral & Denim + My Spring Shoe Crush

Welcome back to 26 Days of Spring Fashion, a style collab with Cyndi Spivey where we each style a new spring outfit every day (except Sundays) during the month of March!

This may be my favorite outfit so far in this series. The floral blouse is so feminine and pretty, the white denim jacket is fresh and clean, the raw hem jeans are a little bit tough, and then the platform sandals are just 🙌🏼. (Sometimes only an emoticon will do.)

Let’s start with the blouse. I wish I’d thought to remove my jacket for a few of these shots, so you can see it better, but it really is so pretty. It’s also 40% off this weekend!

I like that Loft designed this it to be shorter and less voluminous than most of their tops in this style.

It’s also a mixed media design with a dressier woven material on the front and a comfortable knit on the back.

It has a great drape and looks good both untucked and front-tucked. I like it best front-tucked with the jacket on. For size reference, I have the small.

I love how the blue jeans pick up the blue from the print in the top, and then the white denim jacket keeps it fresh.

These are my favorite jeans, and you’re probably sick of seeing them, but they have been such a work horse in my wardrobe for the past three years. I can’t say enough good things about them. The fit, the comfort, the perfect denim wash… perfection.

Yes, they’re spendy, but they do go on sale from time to time. If you wear jeans on a daily basis as I do, they more than pay for themselves.

And then there are these shoes. To say I’m obsessed is an understatement.

I’ve shared them before, but for anyone just tuning in, they’re incredibly comfortable for heels, and they have good stability due to the chunky heel and the platform.

These are one of those pairs of shoes that I put on for the first time and I didn’t want to take them off. I’m sure they’re not everyone’s cuppa tea, but I feel like they were made for me.

They’re true to size; I bought my usual size 8.

Because the outfit has a lot going on, I kept my accessories fairly minimal. I went with silver because of the silver hardware on my jacket, and I wore a layered pendant necklace, hoop earrings, and my X cuff bracelet.

I’ve worn this combination of accessories a few times lately because I like how they all work together.

My bag is a Kate Spade from last spring, and it is such a great match to these shoes. This hobo in the pink rosecloud is a really good alternative.

Someone has asked recently if it is “okay” to match your shoes and handbag. It is totally fine! You certainly don’t have to, and I often don’t, but when I have a pair that goes together this well and they both make sense with the outfit, then I will.

  1. You look so gorgeous, Jo-Lynne! This is so, so cute and fresh. I love everything you have on, which is often the case.  I am inspired to pull out my white denim jacket–soon! 😉 Thanks so much for helping us fight the frump.

    1. I have the white jacket I linked in the blue, and I have it in a small. The one I’m wearing here is Kut from the Kloth, and it’s a medium, but no longer avail. Which is why I linked to the other. I expect this fits like my blue one, so I would definitely recommend sizing down from your normal jacket size.

  2. Love this outfit! I have to admit, skinny jeans are my favourite and being a self-proclaimed blue freak, the blouse looks amazing with your jeans. I also have to comment on your front tuck. I love the way it looks “messy” but exactly right. I always think that I can’t do a front tuck right but you’ve shown me that it doesn’t have to look “perfect.” Hopefully you get my meaning. I’ve never been to Disney so it’s great to see it through your pictures. Enjoy!

    1. Totally, it isn’t supposed to look perfect. Although I’ll admit, when I saw these pix, I wanted to fix it. Haha! It’s a little sloppier than intended, but still, it’s fine b/c like you say, the point is to look a little undone.

  3. Lovely outfit and yes those shoes… glad you didn’t attempt to wear those around Disney lol.,, I hope you share those colored denim with us. Love the color. After wearing denim for so long in the winter months it would be nice to mix something else in with my go to white denim… hope you have a great day. You’re bringing back memories of our visits there with our kids:)

  4. Fabulous outfit Jo-Lynne!  Even though I can’t wear the shoes, they are very pretty.  Enjoy Epcot today!

  5. I recently bought the same Loft blouse but in the blue version you styled earlier. I loved how it looked on you and had to get it! I can’t wait to wear it. I also bought a new shorter white denim jacket at Sam’s Club. I think it will be perfect! Thanks for inspiring me!

  6. I love the floral top…the white jacket and skinny jeans,  and the scenery isn’t half bad either. Lol

But the shoes….hey I’m almost 66 and can’t handle heels anymore…but they’re a fun shoe for sure. Enjoy wearing them while you can….life has a way of changing on you when you least expect it. I can handle the clothes – not the shoes. 😟😟😟

    Enjoy the mouse!

  7. Since I bought the previous blue top from Loft you styled, I will pass on this one. Loft really has such cute tops this year! I do love this outfit (except the raw hem jeans are not for me.) I can see why you are obsessed with those shoes. I wish I could still wear such a high heel. (Maybe it is good I can’t or I would want to buy these haha!) This outfit just looks perfect on you!

  8. I’ve had my eye on that Nordstrom hobo (but I gave up online shopping for Lent, so it will be a later spring purchase). Does anyone already have it? I’m wondering about the difference between the pink dust and the pink rosecloud – on my monitor, they look exactly the same.

  9. Oooh!  This makes me want to pull my white denim jacket out!  Our weather is finally improving and I may actually get to wear it soon! It looks so cute with the floral top.  Enjoy the rest of your time at Disney!

  10. I’m loving the Loft mix media tanks. Mediums did work for me. Thanks! I missed out on the black shirt. Hope they bring that one back. It’s way too cold and snowy to wear this spring look yet, but I didn’t want to them to sell out. We have a winter storm warning today. The kids have had 9 snow days since mid January plus a few late starts early outs. More this week the way it looks. Enjoy the rest of your FL trip. The weather looks perfect.

  11. You look absolutely gorgeous, JoLynne! This outfit is one of my faves. Those shoes are definitely beautiful!
    Enjoy your time at Disney.

  12. This is my favorite outfit so far this spring! The floral blouse is so cute and the jacket is the perfect touch.

  13. I LOVE this outfit on you!  This is probably my favorite look (so far!) of your Spring series!  This outfit is just perfect on you in every way!  I ordered the top and necklace and hope it looks good on me, too!  🙂

  14. I love this outfit on you! So cute. The Kut from the Kloth Helena denim jacket is still available at Nordstrom’s in the Optic White. I love it and will be breaking it out soon. I really like the wash of the blue Two by Vince Camuto denim jacket you styled last week.

  15. I know you have mentioned this but I can’t find it !! Lord and Taylor has the AG jeans on sale and I don’t know which ones to order and try! Can you tell me the ones tat you like in addition to the leggings with raw edge please. Many thanks Alice. Love the blog!
