Floral Maxi Dress Under $100

Greetings and welcome back to 26 Days of Spring Fashion! We’re back in Arizona today with a floral wrap maxi dress.

I’m not big on maxi dresses, but this one is really flattering and easy to wear with the faux wrap style. I also like that it has sleeves.

The nice thing about a dress is you’re one and done. I wore black strappy sandals and accessorized with a silver layered necklace and hoop earrings. I also added my X cuff bracelet.

These sandals are splurgy, but so comfortable and classy. I picked them up last spring during a sale. I wore them a ton last spring and summer, and I know I’ll have them for many years.

A few more affordable options that I recommend are these Sam Edelman scallop strap sandals and this strappier style. Macy’s also has this pair that looks a lot like my Stuart Weitzmans.

I carried this black clutch again — I shared it last week as well. It’s such a nice classic piece that works well with going-out looks.

While I kept the look pretty simple, you could put a jean jacket with this dress and wear it with flat sandals to dress it down, or add a lightweight wrap or shawl for a dressier occasion.

I would also love to wear this outfit with my leather jacket thrown over my shoulders for a fun juxtaposition of edgy and feminine, but I have to admit, there’s no where in my current life that I would be able to go in that combo without looking (or at least feeling) ridiculous.

At any rate, this dress is quite versatile and so easy to wear. The price is right too, as it’s currently on sale for 40% off! For size reference, I have the 8.

  1. You look great. I’m not a fan of maxi either though. Could you address a versatile hand bag for summer. I’d like one that I can carry every day but not a tote. But big enough for all my stuff. Glasses, phone, wallet. No crossover. I know a tall order. You can address on FB live if time. I wish we had snow. 🙂

  2. Very pretty dress… great colors and yeah a denim jacket would look great and even Wedge sandals.. We have woken up to storm number two… this one brings ice pellets and freezing rain after the snow… oh well it’s not spring yet lol. Have a great day

  3. Jo-Lynne, there are so many things I really like about this maxi dress, and you look so nice in it!  I bet the snow is so pretty, but I know that you and the girls are so excited about heading to FL on Wednesday.  That will be a great trip!  Have a fabulous day!

  4. Such a pretty dress; I have yet to find a flattering maxi for my petite frame that can also accommodate the “girls”. Could I ask what size you’re wearing? Thx!

  5. JoLynne,

This maxi dress has a serious WOW factor on you!  You really look beautiful in it.  And re the winter thing, yeah, here in MN we have been pummeled with the most snow ever in February and now we are back to cold temps with 25 below zero windchills.  Whatever did we do to deserve this?  Lol.  Well, it will end at some point.  Ready for winter To. Be. Over.

  6. I commented on Instagram, but I’ll say it again – W O W! Both you and the dress – amazing! This would be so awesome for me for work because of the sleeves. I find a lot of Maxi’s are sleeveless/spaghetti straps, so I have to always wear a cover up at work. Love it!! 🙂

  7. Very pretty! I have been in a search for a new maxi and while I am probably going to get the striped one you styled last summer (it’s back in stock), this one could have been a contender. I tried several maxis but they all had empire waists and made me look pregnant, lol!

  8. I love this dress! It looks great on you. Unfortunately my size is sold out already. That’s a bummer because I rarely find a maxi that I really like.

  9. I loved this dress on you, so I ordered it. It’s so pretty, but how are you wearing it without losing the skirt!? Between the side slit and the wrap, I feel like its going to be a challenge to keep it together. When I sit down (or bend over to pick up a toddler), it falls all off of me. Did you tack it together somehow? I enjoy reading your blog and your reviews! Thanks for the details you include.
