I know, it’s only been a month since I was here last. If I had it my way, I’d spend a weekend out here every month!
I bought my ticket to the Mom 2.0 Conference last spring, as soon as they went on sale, because these ladies know how to plan an awesome conference. I mean, hello, this is the view from my room.
That is the main hotel, set against the iconic Camelback Mountain. I’m in a villa across the way, which sounds fancy, but I’d really prefer to be in the main hotel because it’s so much closer to the conference activities. Still, it’s peaceful over here, and I’m enjoying the solitude, I have to admit. This morning I paid an obscene sum for coffee and oatmeal to be delivered to my room so I could extend my solitude for a little bit longer before heading over to the conference center for the morning keynote.
The Phoenician is every bit as luxurious as I’d expected it to be. Yesterday I sat by the pool, chatted with some of my blogger friends, and sipped margaritas. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: I LOVE MY JOB.
Last night I got dressed up and went to the Welcome Party on the lawn and hung out with these gorgeous ladies and many others.
Today I’ll be soaking up the inspiration and information from the conference. The theme is storytelling, which, of course, is my favorite thing to do, and the reason why I blog. I’ve been in a bit of a blogging slump lately, and I’m hoping this is just the refresher I need.
