Hello From Maine!

I just got back from MIRLing (Meet In Real Life) with Creative Kristi and then having lunch with my husband and son at our favorite haunt . . . Cleonice Mediterranean Bistro in Ellsworth, Maine.

Their Locally Grown Spinach Salad with Anne Bossi’s Chevre, Locally Smoked Bacon, Onions & Toasted Hazelnuts with Dijon Vinaigrette is about the most decadent salad I’ve ever had the pleasure of ingesting. Then I topped it off with a flourless chocolate cake that is so rich that I only ate half of it.

Fortunately I had a luncheon companion that helped me finish it off.

Posting will be sporadic for the next couple of weeks while I spend time sunning myself by the lake and seeking out the best lobstah spot around. This is my view. Don’t be too jealous.

  1. I love Maine! I hope to get back there someday. We visited Bar Harbor as well as Ellsworth. I believe that is where we saw the Lumberjack show. Enjoy your trip!

  2. You look fabulous, as always. Looking forward to more Maine updates; I love following along with your annual trips there. Relax and enjoy!

  3. So great to see you as always! Try the Lobster Pot in Ellsworth for really good lobster (and PIE!! lol) Also the lobster pound *just* before (like 10 feet) the Trenton bridge is good too for a casual meal. I actually think it’s called Trenton Bridge Lobster Pound. 😉 Enjoy your trip!

    1. We always buy our lobsters at the Trenton Bridge but we’ve never eaten there. The Union River Lobster Pot was amazing last night!! Thanks for the recommendation!
