Holiday Gift Ideas from HSN

Hey there, friends! I’ve got another post today with HSN. I’ve rounded up a bunch of gift ideas for some of the hard-to-buy-for people on your list — all at discounted prices that are easy on your wallet.

one // two // three // four // five // six // seven // eight // nine

As you may know, HSN offers exclusive promotions and special values everyday on top brands and popular products, and doing your holiday shopping at HSN is a great way to make your budget go a little further this time of year. Here’s what I found…

Holiday Gift Ideas from HSN

Zvox Sound Bar // If you have someone on your list who has a hard time hearing voices on the TV — father? grandmother? — this ZVOX Soundbar uses hearing-aid technology to help lift voices out of background sounds for better clarity.

It also helps when you’re watching a show with foreign accents or an old movie with a garbled soundtrack mode. It comes with one-plug connectivity to make setup super easy.

Fujifilm Instax Mini 11 Instant Camera Bundle // My 14-y/o daughter got this for Christmas last year, and she had so much fun with it. This year she’s asking for more film. It’s a great gift for the teens/tweens on your list.

Bearpaw 2-Piece Henley & Jogger Pajama Set // Sherpa is all the rage this fall, so why not sherpa pajamas? These look so cozy, and what woman doesn’t love to receive a new pair of pajamas? They come in regular and plus sizes.

Original Snuggie Sherpa Blanket // Who remembers the Snuggie!?! Well, they’re back, and what better time than now, when we are all getting ready to hunker down in our homes for the next few months of winter! This also makes a fun White Elephant gift.

TOMS Ivy Casual Mule Slipper // If you know a woman who’s a fan of TOMS shoes, she will love these plush faux fur-lined slippers with an indoor/outdoor sole. They come in 2 other solids and a whimsical Christmas print.

Bearpaw Millie Suede Buckled Shearling Boots // How cute are these boots? They come pre-treated with NeverWet, so they’re protected from rain, ice, mud or accidental spills; and feet stay warm and cozy inside the sheepskin and wool-blend interior.

They come in a bunch of fun colors and nice neutrals. I have a daughter who may be receiving these this year…

Warm & Cozy Huggable Friend & Throw Set // My kids loved these when they were little… in fact, I daresay they would like them now.

If you have a younger grandchild, he or she will love these huggable characters that come with a super soft plush throw blanket in a fun coordinating print.

Lancome Holiday Lip Set // This lip set makes a great stocking stuffer or bestie gift. It comes in two assortments — a set of pinks/reds and a set of warm neutrals.

Marcy McKenna 2-in-1 Essential Beauty Case // I’m intrigued by this beauty case — it looks great for travel, and I’m also thinking it might be perfect for my daughter in her college dorm. (I can’t believe I’m saying those words… *sob*)

It’s completely customizable inside with movable walls, and it neatly houses your beauty essentials inside one sleek, ultra-organized case that you can use at home or on the go.

I hope this roundup of gift ideas is helpful! I’ll have another post with HSN next month, with even more unique holiday gift ideas.

Let me know if you have anyone specific you’re having a hard time shopping for, and I’ll see what I can come up with.

  1. Hey, thanks for doing the gift guide! I was able to order two of the Warm, Cozy Huggables with a blanket for my youngest two grandchildren. Great idea!

  2. Hi Jo-Lynne. Why are you doing so many sponsored posts lately? Maybe I’m not your average follower, but I find that I rarely buy anything from your sponsored posts because they just aren’t really you… and therefore me. The reason I follow you is because I like the things you like. I really don’t mind a sponsored post from time to time, but it just seems like you’ve been doing quite a few lately. And along that same vein, your gift guides aren’t like the ones you’ve put out in the past. The ones this year seem like products that would not meet your standards. How many of these products have you personally picked out? Do you really shop on HSN? I admit that I don’t because I worry about the quality. I know we all demanded more gift guides — myself included — but I don’t really need help finding this kind of stuff. I love your blog and I am a rock solid follower, that will not change. I am just trying to give you honest feedback.

    1. Hi Nancy. Well, let’s see… I am doing so many sponsored posts lately because simply put, I get a lot more offers this time of year than I do the rest of the year. This time of year is always a bit crazy.

When I accept sponsored posts, I try to spread them out so they don’t overwhelm my content, but most come with a range of dates they want me to choose from, and sometimes they do pile up in the same time period. It’s just the way it works out sometimes. I don’t expect every post I publish to resonate with every reader. If this one doesn’t work for you, maybe the next one will.

And I’m sorry you feel my sponsored posts aren’t really me. That stings a bit, I admit. But I assure you, I put the same amount of time and thought and energy into each of my posts, sponsored or not.

As for this post, I personally picked out every one of these products. I have shopped at HSN occasionally, so when they reached out about a partnership, I looked at their site to see if I felt like I could find products I could authentically recommend.

I use Lancome makeup, I’ve worn Toms shoes, my daughter had a pair of Bearpaw boots that lasted a couple years of regular wear and still look amazing, and the Fujifilm camera is something I bought the same child last year.

When I saw the Vox sound bar, I thought: What an awesome grandparent gift! I wish I’d known about it to include in my grandparent gift guide.

When I saw the huggable friend, I thought about how much my kids loved their stuffed friends and blankies.

The Original Snuggie made me laugh b/c it was such a big trendy thing a few years ago…and how appropriate now that we are all hunkering down for a long winter with possible stay home orders, etc.

I don’t know what else to say… I mean, I did already explain why I chose each item in this post.

Finally, my gift guides this year are the same as the ones I’ve done in the past — they are a mix of sponsored gift guides from specific retailers, and topical gift guides based on recipient: https://jolynneshane.com/tag/holiday-gift-guide-2020. It’s only November 20, there are a lot more to come. I’m usually just getting started right about now.

If you don’t need help finding this kind of stuff, that’s okay. Hopefully it was helpful to someone, and maybe the next post will resonate with you.

  3. Jo-Lynne. I stand corrected, and ask for your apology. I should have used a different tone with my comment. You put your heart and soul into your work and it shows. You make my life better, and you give me more confidence to dress up and get out. Thank you.
