Holiday Pajama Roundup for the Whole Family

One of our family’s holiday traditions is getting new pajamas on Christmas Eve. I don’t remember when we started doing this, but at some point it became a tradition, and now the kids expect to unwrap new pajamas before going to bed on the most magical night of the year.

You would think, this being an annual tradition and all, that I’d get on the ball and order early, but I usually wait until the last minute and find the pajama selection severely picked over. This year I’m determined not to let that happen, and I’m ordering our Christmas pajamas when everything is still well-stocked. I thought I’d do a pajama roundup post because this is a fairly common family tradition, and I’m going to go out on a limb and assume that many of you are like me and get caught scrambling at the last minute.

Not this year, folks! Let’s do this.

Holiday Pajamas for Her

I love Old Navy for budget friendly pajamas. I’ve had pretty good luck with them holding up, and they have some really cute designs this year. Right now some of these are on sale PLUS you get an additional 20% off at checkout (no code needed.) The sleep leggings are really popular among the teenagers, if any of you are buying pjs for teens this year.

I personally prefer the flannel sleep pants. These come in a ton of different patterns.

Gap has some nice pajama choices in the mid-price ranges, and right now all of their PJs are on sale PLUS get an extra 20% off at checkout with code CHEERS.

I also have good luck at Kohl’s and Target for more budget-friendly styles, but as I get older, I’m more willing to invest in nicer fabrics because they feel better and last longer.

For a really nice quality pair of pajamas, I love Soma’s Cool Nights PJs. I have a couple pairs of these, and I often gift them to my mom because she loves them too. Best of all, they come in regular, tall, and petites. Also, right now the entire store is 25% off plus free shipping!

The Embraceable collection is nice too, and they have some pretty prints.

And Nordstrom has a nice range of price points to choose from. I’m obsessed with these thermal pajamas by PJ Salvage. I want all the patterns but I forced myself to choose one, and this one won. If they go on sale, I’m going to grab the Brick ones.

The teenagers love these pajama jumpsuits. My girls each have several.

And these fleece pajamas look sooo cozy. I have some fleece ones from last year in the jogger style, and they’re the softest, most cozy pajamas I’ve ever owned.

And don’t forget robes. I love pulling on my cozy bathrobe in the morning.

Everyone raves about Barefoot Dreams. They have robes as well as cardigans that can be thrown on over your pajamas or worn as clothes.

I love my Natori midi robe for a more lightweight bathrobe. I wear this one in the summertime.

And I’d also recommend checking Soma for nice robes for women.

Holiday Pajamas for Him

My guys like pajamas too, and Gap is usually my go-to for them. Bonus: right now all of their PJs are on sale PLUS get an extra 20% off at checkout with code CHEERS.

Sometimes I buy them at Nordstrom. Their prices are quite competitive, especially in this category. Some guys prefer short sleeves, and this set is perfect for them.

And this is a nice set for an older gentleman on your list — maybe dads and grandads. My husband and son prefer t-shirts.

Holiday Pajamas for Kids

It’s hard to believe that I’m buying for all my kids from the adult sections these days, but when I was buying kid sizes, I loved Gap pajamas for them. Right now all of their PJs are on sale PLUS get an extra 20% off at checkout with code CHEERS.

Family Pajamas

If matching pajamas is your thing, Target has some matching sets for the whole family.

Kohl’s has a bunch too.

They’re pricey, but Hannah Anderson always does a great job with family pajamas.

You can also check out the selection at Macy’s and Pottery Barn Kids.

Phew! What do you think? Did you find some good ones in there? There are so many good places to shop for PJs, you just have to start early to get a good selection of sizes!

  1. I’m really picky about my pj’s. They have to be a pull-over. I don’t like the gaping on the button kind after they’re washed and dried. Since I don’t wear a bra with mine, you can see right in between the buttons! I’m not a “robe person” most of the time so a pull-over is a must. Love the ones you posted from Nordstrom. Think I need them! Thanks for a fun and cozy post!

  2. Oddly enough, last week I stopped getting your emails so last night I resubscribed & now I’m getting them again. I don’t know what happened but glad I’m getting them again! ????
