I know this is probably an odd choice of title, especially if you live in the Mid-Atlantic states and are enjoying this gorgeous day as much as I am. But here’s the thing. IT WON’T LAST! Every time I think, THIS is it. THIS time spring is here to stay, Old Man Winter kicks me in the tuckus again.
I waited hopefully through the last week of cold, rainy weather. I saw the extended forecast. I knew the warmer weather was coming today. I persevered, and I made it. Then I turned on the radio this morning and heard the weatherman predict a drop in temps and rain on Monday. Bah Humbug.
A more optimistic human being would probably just enjoy the sunshine while it lasts, but I’m holding a grudge.
Hey, this just might be my shortest post ever. How about that?
I am in agreement on this one! We have 70’s today! On Sunday…high of 48. Lovely! I love what we call spring.
Just think – if you did not have the weather to blog about, what else would you be blogging about?
Plenty I am sure!
Hang in there 🙂
The thing that bugs me is that I never know how to dress the kids! They can’t understand why it’s okay to wear capri’s and short sleeves one day, but you have to wear long pants, long sleeves and a jacket the next.
Sorry, thought I’d join the grumbling. You may now return to your happy, sunny day. 🙂
I totally agree, this weekend highs close to 80. Next week, back in the 50’s. The Pacific NW sounds a lot like the Mid-Atlantic in the “Spring”. I’ll take what I can get but I’m still not going to bring out the spring wardrobe just yet.
Hop on over and see my post from about 2 hours ago. You will feel better. I promise.
oo I here you!!! I so want the warm weather!!
Yeah I have a post in my head about Spring too. Hopefully it will make it up tomorrow.
I used to fluctuate in naming my favorite season between spring and fall — but living in the NE — you’re right — it’s gotta be fall. Although it starts getting really dark really early in the fall.
Oh drat!
I understand. These days instead of Spring having it’s own nice temperate weather, it’s really more like one day summer, next day winter. Frustrating.
I know! The weather has been stinkin’ lately.
And I want Spring! Not winter right into summer! I want warm days and cool nights. Playing without sweating. SPRING!
I may be in the South, but I’m right there with you. I’m planning a picnic for Sunday after church…you know before the rain comes on Monday.
I would be the same way. Angry at the elements!
I think every state has its downfalls. We here in Florida always look forward to Hurricane season and all the terminology that comes with it from the weather forecasters. You know words like, hunker down, pelted, whipping winds. Oh and the drama that these people put on when they are on camera! Such a treat to watch. LOL. Hang in there my friend, sunny days are coming.
Have a great weekend.
Kim
I hear ya on this one!
We will be 70’s today and then 40’s & rainy just in time for School vacation next week 🙁
Well at least maybe by the end of today all the snow will be gone from our front yard!
Well, I feel your pain but if it makes you feel better, It’s snowing again here in Denver.
Choose to think that you are moving into that time of year where the nice weather is the norm and the cold snaps are the unusual. Or something.
Amen. I am so sick of what is turning into the 7th month of winter here. I honestly don’t think I can handle much more cold rain.
I TOTALLLY Agree…. I am so ticked at this weather. I have bought some new spring additions to the waredrobe and cannot even show them off thanks to the weather!!! I did see that after mon. and tues. it should be nice again… and hopefully stay that way!
Aww, Enjoy the nice weather and don’t worry about tomorrow (or is it the next day?)
And yes, I think this is the shortest post of yours I’ve read!
It’s April 18th. In FLORIDA. And I just spent the last few hours wrapped in a fleece BLANKET at a track meet. Thankfully I had never taken it out of my van.
