I have been working hard getting through my design queue. Yes, in case you didn’t know, I design blogs! This afternoon, I updated my DCR Design site with my latest projects. I hope I haven’t missed anyone. If I have, and if it’s you, feel free to speak up! Also check out my new Testimonials...
Although I posted her picture with the big kids on Tuesday, yesterday was technically R’s first day of preschool. Tuesday was just her orientation. In fact, she was quite miffed that I didn’t leave her there by herself. She kept saying, "You leave. I ‘tay here." No separation anxiety there! So yesterday, after we put...
Yesterday was one of those days that started out with a broken glass shattered across my kitchen floor and ended with kids antagonizing one another and generally acting like brats. Yeah. Fun. Finally, at 7:15, I’d had enough and declared it bedtime. I might have lost my temper just a little bit. It was like...
Note to self. Never install a word verification spam filter.
That is all.
CANNOT STAND THEM EITHER! Also, not a fan of the music… don’t they realize we’re trying to, ahem, READ? 🙂
Are you also referring to the random letters one? Which I have? But don’t you think it’s a cheaper way to keep your brain working than buying the Brain Age game?
Do you think I would get more comments if I didn’t have it or would I have spam issues? Do you detest people who ask a lot of questions?
🙂
I don’t mind the one like on Blogger where you can just tab down to it, but I’m with you on the ones that pop up on a separate page!
I did too until I was getting really bizarre spam from Hong Kong. Now I try to be more understanding.
I’ve written this post a thousand times. Thanks for finally publishing it.
🙂
Ha! Tell us how you really feel!
I hear you… I am not too fond of them either.
I’m with you, sistah! I do see them as the necessary evil they are, but I really loathe them as well. 🙁
I agree!
Amen. Amen. Amen.
Don’t ya just love the ones that are all jumbled together, are blurred and have lines through them? Oh yeah … those are the ones that you always get wrong on the first try, get that annoying red error message stating you were an idiot for not getting it right, then they throw another one right back at you to try it again. Ugh! Ever get one with numbers and letters going in all directions? … I won’t even go there!
I heart you for this post. I almost always get them wrong on the first try and if you try to sound them out, it’s usually a bad word. Weird.
🙂
ME TOO!!!
especially since I seem to be challenged with them and can never enter the right code on the first try. I’ve never used on and never been spammed…knock on wood.
YOU AND ME BOTH. I don’t know why people use them. I’ve had my blog for almost two years and never get any spam comments, except maybe one or twice. Seriously, people, stop using them!
Oh gosh, me too. They always think I’m some sort of Spam computer, and give me the scriptiest, vaguest verifications ever.
For those of you still verifying: I turned mine off a year ago, and I don’t get anymore spam than when it was on (less than 5 a year).
Oh me too… me too… me too. *off to go remove mine. lol*
I’m with you, sistah!
I’m sorry, I’m sorry, but I have to have one. If it makes you feel better, I hate them too, and I curse when I have to try three times. But I still have one b/c I can’t stand the comment spam.
I know some find them restrictive, but I have one because I was getting anonymous comments with “click here” and a link that seemed like it might be related to the post in question, but it linked to spam or worse. Now the problem is gone and they are out of my hair.
