I am grateful to say I received a negative (normal) test result for the carcinoid test. What an enormous relief.
The GI doctor I saw this morning seems confident that we can “get to the bottom of this.” I don’t think he intended to pun, but no expression could be more appropriate!
He is running a slew of tests, bloodwork on Wednesday, then a colonoscopy and endoscopy later this month. Joy! I figure, as long as they give me answers, I don’t care what’s involved.
For now, I’m going to try not to borrow trouble and assume that whatever is wrong can be fixed without too much drama once we get a diagnosis, which seems more like a reality than ever.
