Instagram Roundup 02.25.17

Hello from Nashville! Cyndi and I are having a great time. We went out to dinner last night and turned in pretty early after a walk down Broadway. I know, we are lame. We’re going to try to catch some live music tonight.

I thought I’d post an Instagram roundup today. It’s hard to believe this group of photos is from the same two weeks. The weather has been so erratic in Philly lately, so you’re going to see both winter and spring outfits.

Instagram Roundup 02.25.17

So let’s get this party started!

I ordered this sweater in a medium after it shrunk. (I washed on cold on delicate cycle in my front loader and laid flat to dry.) This is the small. I love it enough to try again, but my advice is to size up if you’re in between sizes. All outfit details and more pictures in THIS POST.

BR scoop neck sweater // AG skinny jeans (similar for less at LOFT) // similar OTK boots here and here // leopard clutch // Stella & Dot lace chandeliers // similar choker

I wore this to our women’s bible study and then to the mall one Saturday a few weeks ago.

similar coats here, here and here (all on sale!) // cashmere sweater ($49) // AG skinny jeans (similar for less at LOFT) // OTK boots (sold out) // Dalton initial pendant // beaded hoop earrings // similar travel mug (we love this one!) // nails: CND Winter Glow

I wore this outfit to work from home one day last week. All details on the sweater in yesterday’s post.

pink turtleneck (40% off!) // AG raw hem ankle leggings // Tory Burch Minnie travel flats // triad hoops

This is a throwback to week before last. It was windy and COLD, and I just wanted to be cozy to work from home all day.

draped waffle knit thermal cardigan // the perfect black tee c/o thirtysomething tees (use code JoLynne10 for 10 percent OFF your order) // favorite leggings // UGG classic cardy // glitter studs // link ring // blue ceramic mug // nails: CND Winter Glow

I love the colors in this flat lay! Unfortunately the scarf is sold out, but I loooove these perforated booties. SO comfy, and the color is awesome. They’re on trend and will go with almost everything this spring. I actually wore these last night to walk around downtown Nashville. I was surprised how comfortable they were. They’re really soft on the inside, and nothing rubs and aggravates the feet. Even though the heel is high, it’s a nice sturdy block heel, so it’s very stable.

Vince Camuto Kensa Peep-Toe Booties // blush tee (if in between sizes, go up) // AG raw hem ankle leggings

These Vince Camuto booties are on sale, and I love them. It’s getting late in the year for them, given the mild temps so many of us are experiencing, but they will still be trending next year, and $89 is a great price for this brand. They also come in brown. (Also, I should have cuffed my jeans up a little higher. I don’t like how they’re sitting into the boots.)

I think this was Valentine’s Day. This pink sweater comes in a lot of colors, and it’s a great basic, but it does pill easily. It’s 30% off with code SOMANYFAVES, bringing it down to $24.

This was also around Valentine’s Day. This sassy red top with the bell sleeves is so cute. For size reference, I’m wearing a small. It has been 40% off recently, so if you like it, I would advise waiting for another sale. Also, my go-to nude pumps (I searched far and wide for a pair that fit and stay on my feet due to my narrow heel issues) are on sale 30% off. I’ve never seen them on sale, and it ends tomorrow. This is a great quality shoe that will last for many years.

bell sleeve top // favorite white jeans // favorite nude pumps (ON SALE!) // Dalilah Pendant

I wore this to church last Sunday. The weather was starting to get nice, and I didn’t even need a coat. This bell sleeve top is super cute and only $49. I’m wearing the medium. The small fit okay too, but I was afraid it would shrink so I got the medium.

bell sleeve top // raw hem jeans (similar for less) // ray-bans // pendant // earrings

I wore this to the mall to shop for spring clothes. When I go shopping, I always try to wear things that are easy to pull off and on — comfy ballet flats are a given. Then my favorite comfy jeans, an easy pullover sweater, and not too many fussy accessories complete the look. I ended up carrying my LV Neverfull tote because it already had my stuff in it, but I like how this cognac hobo coordinates with my leopard flats. For size reference, I’m wearing a small in the sweater.

Finally, this look is coming to the blog next week, and I actually wore it last night out to dinner with Cyndi. I’m loving this Free People Sweater for spring. It’s cropped but not as boxy as some, and the details are really pretty. I keep hoping it will go on sale, but so far, no dice. Sizes are still getting depleted though. It comes in a slew of pretty spring colors. (I’m wearing the small.)

I’m thinking of doing another Q&A before we start our spring series. If you have any questions you’d like me to answer, feel free to leave them in a comment or zap me an email (the contact link at the top of my blog will come right to me.)

Cyndi and I have a photo shoot scheduled for this morning, and then we’re going to grab some lunch and hit the mall. Fun stuff! I hope you all have a great Saturday!

  1. The best one was the bell sleeve outfit. Didn’t like the others. You looked adorable it the bell sleeve outfit. All of it. You and Cindy have a great time.

  2. Jolynn,
Good to know that even professional such as yourself make mistakes when posting! LOL. I recently sent the dean of my school my weekend itinerary instead of my daughter! oops! Fortunately he has a good sense of humor.

Enjoy Nashville and say hello to Cyndy, I follow her too!

  3. The black bell sleeve is adorbs. That outfit also got me to finally buy that Lucky necklace I’ve been wanting for months.
Reviews for the top say it’s very boxy though it doesn’t look that way in your pic. Last thing I need is to add weight to midsection! What do you think?

  4. Was wondering about the blush tee with the perforated boots; the link for the tee only goes to the boots. Could you let me know the brand? Thanks!

  5. I think it’s so great you and Cindi are friends. There is nothing like having fun colleagues with which to collaborate.
What a great weekend you’ll have together.

    Cheers,

  6. Any advice for shorts that are age appropriate (mid 30s) and skirts that are knee length and kid friendly but not frumpy? I live in FL so it is hot, but I need modest and stylish options. Thank you!

  7. I love when you do this. I received the green cashmere sweater and was very pleased with it and also that I have had to re-order a size smaller! Can’t wait to get and wear it for St. Patrick’s Day!

      1. Oh darn…would you mind telling me who it is by, as I am good at tracking items down.

Thank you again and glad you had a productive weekend!

    1. Absolutely not. LOL!! I only wash sweaters and jeans when they get stained. The party line advice on laundering premium denim is basically don’t. They say to spot clean, put them in the freezer to get rid of odors, and mist with a vinegar/water mixture. LOL!!! I don’t go that far. I do wash them, but I only when they desperately need it. And sweaters… again, the less you wash them, the longer they will last. The cashmere ones only go to the dry cleaner once or twice a season, depending on how often I wear them. The washable ones get washed when they get a stain or start to look like they need to be freshened up.
