Instagram Roundup

Good morning, friends! It’s sunny and beautiful this morning here in Philly, but COLD. I know this because I just was outside getting outfit pictures for our spring fashion series that starts on Tuesday, and I was freeezing. That must be how models feel.

I thought today would be a good day for an Instagram recap, and tomorrow I’ll post a Coffee Talk because I have so much to tell you!! If you get my Daily Emails, you probably already know the saga of my knees. And then I have an exciting getaway planned. I’ll fill you all in tomorrow.

Meanwhile, this week on Instagram . . .

I posted the picture above as I was heading out to the mall on Monday in search of white jeans and white t-shirts. I didn’t find either that day, but I have since ordered a pair of distressed white cropped jeans that I LOVE. They came in the mail yesterday, and I’m super excited because my hunt is over! I’ll still wear my other full-length non-distressed pair sometimes, but these new ones are guaranteed to be on repeat all summer long.

Anyway, I don’t mean to be a tease. The link is HERE and they are 20% off! YAY!

Incidentally, I also ordered the DL1961 Emma in white, and they are also 20% off! I’m actually returning the Emma because I decided they’re too much like my Florence skinnies, but the material on the Emma is sooooo soft. I would love to keep them; I just can’t justify it, but if you are in the market for plain white ankle-length white skinnies, BUY THE EMMA TODAY. You will thank me, I promise.

But I digress! Back to Instagram!

I posted this flat-lay of a spring outfit I’m planning for my spring outfit series. I LOVE this yellow top. SO SO SO cute for early spring. Would be perfect for a casual Easter celebration.

I posted this as I was headed out to the Carrie Underwood concert. Full outfit details HERE.

I threw on this outfit to go to my foot doctor about my knee. (LOL!) I removed the hood from the leather jacket for a dressier look. I love it both ways!

I posted this from my run yesterday morning. It was so windy, yikes! I still made great time, averaging just under a 10 minute mile! With all that wind, that was quite a feat.

And I posted this yesterday after I got dressed and I was trying out my new white jeans. This t-shirt is too cute, right? I found it on Etsy.

  1. You often talk about DL 1961 skinny jeans. You have mentioned Emma, Angel and Florence styles. I have 2 pairs of Angel and absolutely love them but they may be a slightly lower rise than I would normally buy. (I am in my 50’s). What is the difference between these 3 styles?
Love your site and read it regularly. You are the one that started me on these jeans!!

    1. Hey Jennifer! If you want a higher rise, you should try the Florence. I think you’ll like them. They are also an inch longer than the Angel. I had a pair of Angel in white, but I think I finally gave them away last year when I got the Florence. The Emma is also a lower rise and about an inch shorter than the Florence. The difference between Emma and Angel is leg shape. The Angel is a “cigarette” style leg and the Emma is a legging style – so it is tighter. The Florence are more of a traditional skinny. I think they’re the most versatile. Hope that helps!

  2. I’m so ready for the Spring series, I know y’all will have some great looks to share. I’ve given up on winter here in TX, so I’m finally embracing Spring now, lol. I’m right in the middle of a shoe buying frenzy (my love for sandals is almost as great as denim!), and I’m seriously loving so many of the newer trends this year. Speaking of denim, those J Brands are hot!! Love them! I’ve had 2 pair over the years and one I still wear frequently after nearly 8 years I think. Money well spent.
Your felicia flats…did you get your regular size or did you go up by a half? I’m about to pull the trigger, I think!

  3. Same type of weather here in Ohio. I’m impressed you are starting your spring series. I’m feelibg a little overwhelmed, as I’ve never shopped early for a season. Mostly just shop randomly & often. I’m trying to be smarter, and just buy what I love & need to get me through spring. Going in my current closet to shop is difficult, because it’s still cold. Difficult to think about spring, but white pants are a good start! Thanks for motivating me????

    1. Same here, Marti! This is all new to me. 🙂 I learned last year, though, when I did this series in April, that people were already well into spring in other areas of the country, and products were starting to sell out. So I’m doing it in March this year. 🙂 We’ll see how it goes!

  4. Hi, Jolynne. I am also here in the Philly suburbs and can’t wait for spring. I love the look of skinny jeans but I have muscular calves and and have a hard time finding a pair that will fit me. Any suggestions on a brand to try?

    1. Hey Renee, off the top of my head, I’m not sure, since I have the opposite problem. My calves are puny, lol. I’ll ask over on my Facebook page and see if anyone has suggestions! 🙂 I’ll keep you posted!

  5. Hi Jo~Lynne
The link to your Instagram account appears broken thru my iPhone. Any thoughts on how I can change this?

  6. Love it al! You are so pretty in all your outfits! I am so ready for Spring and I look forward to your series.
I’m mostly excited for flares and wedge sandals!

  7. I like the outfits you post, then I challenge myself to find something similar in my price range. $140++ for jeans is just way out of my budget.

But I love that etsy shirt… unfortunately the link gives a 404 error! 🙁
