July Favorites 2019

Friends! I’m trying to whip this post together real quick here this morning before I get ready to head to Nordstrom and pre-shop the #NSale! Forgive me if it’s a bit terse. Ha!

These are some new finds and old favorites that I’m particularly loving right now.

July Favorites 2019

#1. J.Crew Factory Tie-front dress // This little dress was a nice surprise, I didn’t think I’d like the front tie, but it’s actually kind of cute. For $19.50, you can’t beat it. I am wearing the medium here. I also ordered the black in the small, and it fit better under the arms, but this one looks better from the back, plus it may shrink some, so I would say size up if in between.

Also, the bag is the Louis Vuitton Graceful PM — a birthday gift last week! ☺️

#2. Beauty Counter Countertime // I haven’t received this yet, but I’m super excited to try it. It’s launching today, as a matter of fact, and is now available for sale. I’ve been wanting to make some changes to my skincare routine and find some more “clean” options, and when I saw Cyndi post about Beauty Counter’s new anti-aging skincare line, I impulsively signed up.

I should be getting mine in the mail any day, and I can’t wait to start trying it. If you’ve been wanting a cleaner beauty routine, you may want to try it too!

#3. Joe’s Retro Pajama Shorts // This isn’t fair b/c they’re mostly sold out, but I’m loving these pj shorts right now. I wear them with a baggy tee and throw a cardigan on top in the mornings and evenings when I’m lounging around. They’re so soft, don’t bind the waist (why do so many pajama pants do that?) and they look cute enough to go get the mail without being embarrassed to see a neighbor. They’re currently 40% off, and for size reference, I have the medium. Shop more Joe’s loungewear.

#4. Side Tie Tee // I’ve talked about this so much already, it really doesn’t need much introduction, but it’s such a good little tee, and the price is decent as well. For size reference, I’m in the small.

#5. Star Sweatshirt // This sweatshirt is lightweight and so cute for cool summer nights… or days, if you have them! It’s sort of a nod to July 4th, but you can certainly wear it all season long. I really like the raw hem and raglan sleeves. It’s currently 25% off, and for size reference, I have the small. Shop more from the Alternative brand.

#6. Something Navy Sea Glass & Shell Layered Necklace // I wish I had a better picture, but anyway. I’m loving this little layered necklace. So cute for summer, and it fills a neckline better than a single pendant.

I should also probably include that Stella & Dot cuff. It’s old, but I wear it so much, especially in the summer.

#7. BP. Grace Slide Sandals // These are so fun, and they’re actually quite comfortable as well. Since I wear so many neutrals, these are a great way to add interest to an outfit. They’re TTS, or you may want to size up half. I have the 8 and often wear 7.5 in slides.

Victoria Emerson Summer Sale: 5-Wrap bracelet with 4MM turquoise beads on brown leather

#8. Turquoise Wrap Bracelet // Speaking of colorful accessories to pop a neutral outfit, this Victoria Emerson wrap bracelet with the turquoise beads and chocolate brown leather is so fun. I like the casual vibe, and it goes with so many neutrals, as well as looking nice with pink and coral.

#9. 1901 Ruched Stripe Sheath Dress // You’ve seen this before, but I’ve worn it quite a few times lately. It’s so flattering and forgiving when you’re carrying an extra few pounds… ahem. The material is nice and thick and stretchy, and the way they designed the side ruching is such a unique touch. Best of all, it just went 40% off! Size up, though. I have it in the 10.

  1. I am glad you are wearing that Navy blue striped ruched dress a lot. You look good in it and when I find something that I look good in I wear it all the time.

  2. I was eyeing that purse in an earlier post 😉.. really nice bday gift:) lucky you. Have fun today!!!🛍🛍

  3. So many choices!   I really love that sweatshirt w/the stars. I can see wearing that out in the evening!  Happy shopping!  I’m excited to see what you come up with from the sale!  What are you seeing as far as the “hot colors” for fall? I picked up a pair of olive ankle pants at Talbots & a pair of what I’d call “burnt orange” ones at another store. I get a little tired of wearing the typical denim jeans most days when fall rolls around. Love that LV handbag 😍!

  4. Oh, how I love a good investment bag!!!! Congrats and happy belated bday!  So many cute things in this post.  Those PJ shorts….I actually laughed out loud…we must all think about seeing neighbors when we run out to grab the mail.  I will want to read what you think of the skincare once you have had used it awhile.
Thanks for all the work you put into this!

  5. I really like the grey dress on you and I’m going to order both the black and grey…..But I love your birthday gift. That is truly a beautiful purse and if I could afford one, that’s the color comb I would pick. So that must have been the result of the trip to the mall with your hubby? What a good guy!
Enjoy your shopping day at Nordstrom and can’t wait to see what you find for us 😉

  6. Being able to wear a lightweight sweatshirt now due to a cool night sounds wonderful!  Have a great time today!

  7. Have fun at the Nordstrom sale – pace yourself! Sounds like a marathon shopping event. 😉 Love the stars sweatshirt. Too funny about running into neighbours when looking too casual – we all have done it!

  8. Well you talked me into the grey J Crew Factory dress. Just ordered that plus 2 blouses and a jacket on clearance. All for $70 SCORE!!

  9. I’m curious…do you like you Louis Vuitton Neverfull or Graceful PM better?  Also, do you think they are worth the price?  I love handbags and have a very hard time deciding what I want.  I buy nice handbags, but if I were to purchase a Louis Vuitton, it would have to be carried just about every day for a very long time.

    1. Hey Terri. I know what you mean. I felt that way when I got my first one — the Neverfull. I do still carry it more than any other bag I own, but I do carry others for other purposes. The Neverfull is far more practical than the Graceful. It’s my all-purpose go-to for daily living and travel. I use it as my carryon when I fly, and it looks like new after 3 years. It’s amazing quality and so carefree. If I were only going to buy one luxury bag ever, it would be my Neverfull in the Damier Ebene. I love the Azur pattern for summer, and I’ve been wanting the Graceful ever since they launched it last summer. I like a hobo, and the smaller size is nice for a change. But I would definitely choose the Neverfull if I could keep just one.
