Magenta + Leopard for Spring

Hello and welcome back to 26 Days of Spring Fashion! Today I’ve got the cutest twist front pullover I want to show you.

This top is so super soft and comfortable. It has a fleecy lining, but it’s on the thinner side, so great for in-between weather like many of us are having right now.

I also like the 3/4-length sleeves for this time of year, and the twisted detail at the front hem is a fun detail as well.

This top comes in a bunch of fun colors, and it runs true to size for the Gibson brand. I have the purple vintner solid in a size small.

I paired it with my go-to raw hem ankle length skinny jeans, and then I added leopard flats for pattern and texture.

These pointed-toe leopard flats are a year-round closet staple. I snagged them when they were 40% off, but unfortunately they’re no longer on sale. I expect they will be again before too long, as J.Crew seems to run sales often these days. They do run small; I had to size up to a 9, and I usually wear 8 or 8.5.

I’m starting to prefer the pointed toe flats to the rounded ballet flats I’ve been wearing for the past few years. They seem a little more chic, and I guess I’m getting tired of the rounded look because I’ve worn it so much — not to say I’m throwing away all my ballet flats, but I find myself gravitating more to the pointed-toe styles.

Here are a few more options for leopard flats this spring:

This outfit is super simple and easy to throw on and go, but the twist front top is a nice play on a basic tee, and the leopard flats level up the jeans and solid top to a stylish mom-on-the-go look that is both chic and practical.

Outfit Details:

  1. I love leopard – accessories, clothing, jewelry, purses, shoe. I love it all. I read somewhere that leopard is the new neutral. 🙂 I love your leopard shoes with this color. Have a great day!

  2. We definitely prefer standard time.  On the news last night they said that the proper name is Daylight Saving Time, without the ‘s’ which we did not know.  We need to join AZ and the few other states and leave the time alone.  This is a great casual outfit that is step upped a notch!  Have an awesome day!

  3. Such a pretty color on you and I actually saw this one at Nordstrom Rack for a good price and asked my daughter if she wanted it and she said no. But why I didn’t take if for myself is the question 🤔

  4. Love this look, especially anything with a three quarter sleeve. Just ordered the top in black and magenta!

  5. I love leopard flats BUT I wonder if others feel as I do; when I put them on I feel short and fat (dumpy) and I’m not as I’m 5’7″ and a size 10.

With respect to Daylight Saving Time (thanks for the correction) we in California put it on the Ballot to abolish, voted and the majority won out. Guess what, doesn’t matter what California wants we need approval from Congress and that isn’t a priority for Congress right now.

    1. I feel the exact same way!! I’m 5-5 and wear 4/6 but prefer the look of some kind of heel or wedge. I love the look on other people but every time I try it, it just doesn’t feel right!! To use your word… too frumpy!!

  6. Hi Jo-Lynne! I’ve been looking at the Everlane totes and considering buying one. Do you lik it? Love it? What shade do you have? Thanks!

    1. I like it a lot. It’s nice quality and I love supporting the company. My only complaint is it’s rather stiff, but that’s nice so far as it keeps its shape. It has worn well and I don’t have any marks on it, and I throw shoes in there when going to photo shoots and things like that. I haven’t babied it. I have the light taupe.

  7. Hi Jo-Lynne: Yes, I feel dumpy in all flats not just leopard print flats. Perhaps it’s because I wear a size 10 shoe and I feel that the only thing people see coming are my feet. On the other hand, I am 75 and maybe the youthfulness of flats does not match up with my face. This conundrum presents itself when I have to go to the grocery store and don’t want to wear heals or boots. Summer is easier because I wear wedges.
