March Favorites

Good morning, friends! I wasn’t feeling a Coffee Talk post today so I thought I’d share my March Favorites.

I started doing this monthly feature back in January. Basically it’s where I share some of my new finds and some of my old favorites I’ve been enjoying again lately.

March Favorites

#1. Denim Ghillie Flats // Denim shoes are a big trend this spring, and I thought these lace-up flats were adorable. Mine just arrived yesterday, and I’m in love. They have a cushioned footbed much like the Felicia Flats. They’re also on sale for $69!

#2. Quay Sunglasses // I love my Ray-Bans, but I wanted to find some similar sunglasses at a lower price point to recommend to you, so I ordered these from Quay for $60. I love them, and I think they look more expensive than they are.

#3. Kate Spade Rosa Silk Skinny Scarf (25% off!) // This is the scarf I tied on my Kate Spade handbag for this post. It is now 25% off and so is my little babe handbag. Use code PURPOSE on katespade.com for 25% off (exclusions apply) OR Nordstrom is price matching. I really like that Toasted Wheat color at Nordstrom.

#4. MAC Lipglass in Cultured // I just ordered this tinted lipgloss to replace an old one that ran out. I love MAC’s Lipglass. I always top off my lipstick with one of these. This color is a little pinker than the one I’ve been using, and I like how it gives any neutral lipstick a pink tint.

#5. Sam Edelman Yaro Suede Sandals, Oatmeal // I ordered these on the Shopbop sale (that is over now, sorry!) to wear with jeans and dresses this summer. This style of sandal has been trending for a few years, and I really love this oatmeal color. It will go with everything.

#6. Love Always Monogram Necklace // I’ve had this for a while; I treated myself when they ran a 25% off sale at Christmastime. I have the 3XL in the gold dipped with the 16″ chain, and I really love it. It makes such a nice statement and fits nicely in the neckline of v-neck tops or over the top of crewneck and boatneck tops.

#7. Perforated Tote // I am obsessed with this perforated tote. It’s less than $100 and the perfect bag for carrying all your stuff. I’ll be showing more of it in tomorrow’s blog post.

#8. Curél® Hydra Therapy Wet Skin Moisturizer // I started using this last week, and so far I’m loving it. I keep it in my shower and apply to wet skin before toweling off. There’s more info in this post.

#9. Side Slit Pullover // This is probably the softest shirt I’ve ever put on my person. I know it’s not super flattering, but I love the relaxed look for a casual weekend vibe, and the side slit is a cute detail. I bought the medium so it would be plenty roomy.

It does tend to fall off one shoulder… the trend du jour among young fashion bloggers. I refuse to wear my tops like that; it feels too contrived. But if you like that look, this top definitely works. You can wear a bralette underneath so when it shows, it looks purposeful. I might actually get one to cover my bra straps when they peek out. I hate it when that happens with wider neck tops.

So that’s a wrap! Have a wonderful Sunday!

  3. Hi Jolynn- the Perforated tote link doesn’t seem to be working for me. Is that available at Nordstrom?

  4. HI Jo Lynne! I recently discovered your blog, and absolutely love it! I love all of your looks and recommendations and have already bought quite a few things you feature and link to! I adore that perforated tote that you’re showing today, but the link goes nowhere. Could you update the link? I think that might just be my new spring bag…. 🙂

  5. Thank you Jo-Lynne for sharing some more of your favorites for Spring. The warmer then hot weather will be here before we know it. I’m going to enjoy and appreciate the lower humidity days for as long as they last. I know that you will make it a blessed day, no matter what you do.

  6. I love these type of posts because you make it so easy to find things that you may have (or are planning to) style!. I have purchased several of your recommendations and have loved them all! Have a great Sunday!

  7. Ah, bralette! Would love a little info on what they do, or how to use! I also dislike showing my bra straps but want to wear cute tanks with straps that will show them. Do you wear a bralette on top of your bra? Thanks Jo-Lynne!

    1. I think the idea is to wear it instead of a bra, but for some of us, that is obviously not an option. 😉 I was going to see if I order a large if it will work over top.

  8. You might want to check out bralettes made by Wacoal. I tried the b’tempted by Wacoal Lace Kiss. They are surprisingly supportive for a bralette! At 32DD, I don’t have a huge chest but I do need some support.

    1. Yeah, I have the steve madden ones from last year in the khaki/beige, but they have a lot of yellow in them. This color is so much nicer and more versatile. I think these are a little more comfortable to walk in too, although they are almost identical.

  9. This is a great list, I love the last top.
Also, I don’t know if you hear it very often but I really enjoy your coffee talk posts. I typically don’t read blogs on Sundays but I always look for yours at some point during down time on Sunday.
