The Best of Memorial Day Weekend Sales

Wow, what a difference a year makes! Last Memorial Day, we were on strict stay-at-home orders, there were no parades or group gatherings, and everything seemed bleak and uncertain. This year, things are slowwwwwly getting back to some semblance of normal, and I am so looking forward to summer.

While we enjoy our picnics and barbecues this weekend, and yes maybe a little bit of online shopping, let’s take some time to remember and honor those who went before us and gave their lives to preserve our freedom and way of life. It’s so easy to lose that perspective in all the noise of the holiday weekend, and I don’t ever want to take it for granted.

Somewhere along the way, MDW came to mark the unofficial beginning of summer, and many retailers take this opportunity to run their biggest sales of the season. There are some amazing sales going on right now, so I rounded up all the best sales and my top picks at my favorite retailers. I hope it’s helpful, if you’re shopping this weekend!

The Best of Memorial Day Weekend Sales

ATHLETA // Up to 50% off markdowns

BANANA REPUBLIC // 40% off your purchase

BLOOMINGDALE’S // Extra 50% off clearance, plus 30-50% off select full-price styles

Lots of good denim, shoes, and a few other random finds like the Vince shaker rib sweater (pictured above).

COLLEEN ROTHSCHILD // $25 off $100+ with code HONOR25 or $50 off $200+ with code HONOR50

So many favorites here. Their cleansing balm is amazing, the Face Oil °9 layered under a rich night cream is the best way to combat flaky dry skin, and their new mineral sunscreen is really good too.

DERMSTORE // 20% off with code SALEAWAY

The EltaMD tinted sunscreen and Colorescience Total Eye treatment cream are both included, as well as two items I recently started using, at the recommendation of my dermatologist, this REPLENiX Restore Nighttime Therapy and the Revision Hydrating Serum. All four are linked below.

EVEREVE // Up to 70% off Clearance styles

The Evereve sale is insane. You know how a lot of times, they say “up to 70% off” but most items are only 30-40% off? Most of these are actually 70% off AND fully stocked at the time of this posting. If you aren’t familiar with some of these brands, Z Supply, Chaser, Spiritual Gangster, and Sundry make some of the most ridiculously soft and comfy casual wear around.

KENDRA SCOTT // 20% off 1 style, or 25% off 2+ styles

LOFT // 50% off tees, tanks & shorts; 40% off almost everything else

NORDSTROM // Half Yearly Sale: See my dedicated post HERE

Some of my favorite jeans, and they also have gorgeous boots and leather goods. I threw a few random wintry things in here because the prices were so good.

SAKS FIFTH AVENUE // Up to 50% off

Saks has a great denim selection, with favorite brands such as rag & bone, Frame, AGOLDE, MOTHER Denim, and more.

  1. Thanks for the Dermstore heads up! I’m needing more Elta sunscreen. My dermatologist put me on it, but I haven’t been able to find it in any stores, eventhough they said it’s OTC.

  2. Yes, we do need to pause and reflect on why we even have Memorial Day and give our thanks to those that paid the ultimate price for our freedom. There are definitely some great sales going on. I hope your weather will clear up for at least part of the weekend. It is not bright and sunny down here either with a chance of rain late this afternoon and overnight, but it’s been 15+ days since we’ve had measurable rain, so we can definitely use some. The humidity is awful! Enjoy the rest of your day!

  3. MaY long weekends are unpredictable weather for us too. It is Important to pause and reflect on the sacrifices made for our freedom.
Thanks for the 40% off sale tip on P448 sneakers. I had my eye on them for a while. Even more tempting now! Enjoy your long weekend.

  4. Thank you so much for mentioning the real reason we have this 3 day weekend. My husband is a veteran and it’s a quiet and reflective weekend at our house.

  5. We are suppose to be mid to high 80’s and 90 by Tuesday. Not our usual for this weekend. Usually we have clouds and rain. Yes, we can’t forget who sacrificed for our freedom. Lots of great sales. On the Elta sunscreen, I see two posted. Do you use both the face one and regular one? Are either greasy? So hard to find a good mineral sunscreen and I don’t like a greasy feel on my face. Thanks for sale heads up. Have a great time with your family.

  6. What size tankini should I look for at Athleta? I’m similar in bra size. Bathing suits are hard to find with smaller band size but larger cups. I am typically 32 G or 32 DDD, depending on brands. Thanks for any advice you can offer. I enjoy your posts on Instagram and your blog.

  7. I hope that y’all finally see some sunshine today and that the warm temps return! Boy, there are some great sales going on. I am having to tell myself not to explore any of them because I don’t need to add anything to my closet. Of course, there are things Id like to have. I am very thankful to those that made the ultimate sacrifice for my freedoms. Make it a great day!

  8. I do hope your weekend plans turn out great. It’s so hard to have an outdoor event in inclement weather. Speaking of inclement weather, we endured 4 days of extreme wind, with gusts up to 40 mph. And then abruptly the wind stopped and yesterday it was 99° and today will be even hotter with a heat advisory. Days like this I miss my pool which we filled in a few years ago. It had sprung an underground leak and the repairs were horrific.

My favorite hot weather activity was to fill an air mattress and float while sipping cold sweet tea, I’ll have to make do with the couch today. Right now all the windows are open and there are mocking birds and redwing blackbirds and an occasional meadow lark singing to their heart’s content so I’m just feeling blessed to be home safe!
