Guide to Memorial Day Weekend Sales

Well, it’s not the Memorial Day Weekend we were hoping for, but I hope you get to spend some quality time with friends and loved ones, and be sure to take some time to remember and honor those who have paid the ultimate price for our freedom.

Here in eastern PA, we are still in the “red zone” and on stay-at-home orders. There will be no parades or group gatherings, and even our weather seems to reflect the current mood… drab and rainy. Although it’s looking up for Monday, so there’s that.

Meanwhile, the retailers are pulling out all the stops, trying to stay afloat in these uncertain times. I figure, if I must be stuck at home on a rainy Saturday in May, at least I can do my part to support the economy with some good old-fashioned online shopping.

You know I’m nothing if not a shopping enabler, so I’ve updated my Guide to Memorial Day sales for anyone looking for some retail therapy this weekend.

Your Guide to the Best Memorial Day Weekend Sales

I know I said yesterday that there would be no new post today, but I’m moping around, looking for something to do this morning, so I thought I’d expand on the MDW Sale Roundup I posted at the end of yesterday’s Try-On Haul.

This is actually the post I publish every Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend, thus the old graphic at the top. I still like that one, so I figured I’d use it again.

  1. Its a blah day here too: rainy day #3. It will be help to keep summer forest fires at bay as that is all we need this summer: out of control wild fires & COVD 😕
Go for the day trip to the shore…. We all need breaks from reality. Have fun! Happy Memorial day long weekend. 🇺🇸

  2. I hope you guys get a chance to get out and have a nice family outing sometime this weekend. I can only imagine the toll that recent events have taken on you all all, and getting out may do wonders. I would like to say I will be relaxing by the pool, but I’ve been so lazy and haven’t even prepped it for summer yet..ugh.

However, in more cheerful news, I was thrilled to have snagged those J Crew sneaks at 40% off yesterday! I’ve been stalking them nonstop since you featured them and was shocked a promo code finally worked with them. July 6 is expected ship date, but I know they will be worth the wait!

  3. Hi!
I guess all things are relative. Until I retired I drove two hrs each way to work 12 hr shifts. I listened to a lot of audiobooks. It was hard because I did not get much sleep but I only worked 8 days a pay period due to them being 12.5 hr days. It’s the primary reason I retired from intensive care. It makes me very sympathetic with all RNs now doing the same thing. Our nurses in California have been forced out of 8 hr shifts into 12 in most places.

Please take that long drive with your children, even if it’s a day excursion. And I’m so envious you can go anywhere. We are totally locked down here in my county and while beaches are supposedly open there’s no “sunbathing” allowed. Only swimming and walking. And parking lots are closed so you have to find available parking nearby assuming there are any streets. We usually go camping in our motorhome but the places we usually go are all closed. Looks like we will be camping in the yard.

Great sales! I’m taking a break from shopping till the last ten pounds are gone. No #pandemic15 for me!

Have a safe and fun trip and enjoy for all of those of us who essentially have nowhere to vacation within the state.

  4. It’s blah here too. NW Oregon. Our big mall opens today but I just can’t get myself to go yet. I have two Loft returns so might pop in there for that. Hard not to be fearful to go out too soon just because Govenor of our state and mayor of county says so. Our weather supposed to get nice tomorrow, clouds again Monday then going to be in 80’s for rest of week. :)Summer is coming. Enjoy your time Monday if you go for the day. I think you should. Drive will do you all good but then there is the puppy. ??????

  5. I’m trying not to shop right now, but I have to admit, I’ve looked at the AT and BR sales a dozen times in the past few weeks! I’m torn between supporting businesses and being frugal! Xo Nipa

  6. There are definitely some good sales this weekend.  Hearing that even some of the big well known retailers are in financial trouble now, I do feel like I need to do my part to help them stay afloat.  We have some rain clouds, but the sun is out, and it’s ridiculously humid, so it’s too miserable to be outside.  The world news keeps talking about how every state is slowly opening back up, but they fail to mention the areas like where you live that is still under a stay at home order.  Stay safe!
