Mom Fashion | What I Wore This Week 12.07.11

I just got back in town late last night (more about that later), so this week’s edition of What I Wore Wednesday will be short and sweet.

I wore this outfit to see Charlotte’s Web in the city — black fine wale corduroy skinnies with gray cowl neck sweater (from Banana Republic a few years ago) and Dansko Brinkley boots. The red bag by Hobo Int’l (a sweet find at Marshalls several years ago!!) gives a pop of color to an otherwise simple outfit. I accessorized with chunky silver hoop earrings and a silver beaded bracelet.

For church on Sunday, I wore my sweater poncho from LOFT over a long-sleeve black tee with black fine-wale corduroy skinnies (similar to these) and my black Dansko boots.

On Monday night, I wore my favorite burnt orange sweater from Free People out to dinner at The Feed Store in Atlanta. (Yes! Atlanta!)

And on Tuesday morning I had breakfast with Dan Cathy, President and COO of Chick-Fil-A.

You may think it odd that I attended a press trip for a fast food chain, and I debated before accepting the invitation, but I ultimately decided to go and I’m so glad I did. I’ll be writing more about that experience later this week.

Meanwhile, as for what I wore, it’s hard to see in this photo, but it’s a purple tank with a deeper plum scarf (tied like this) and a gray drapey sweater with skinny jeans and my black Dansko boots. In retrospect, I should have worn the black skinnies I brought. No one else was wearing jeans. Ooops!

(Yes, I pretty much LIVED in Dansko boots this week! I even wore them traveling on Monday and Tuesday, which is a testament to their support and comfort if ever there ever was!!)

Disclosure: The Brinkley and Buffy boots were both provided by Dansko for review purposes. Everything else featured in this post was purchased by me.

  1. If you’re going to tell me that Chick-fil-A is coming out with a gluten free chicken nugget, it seriously will MAKE my Christmas and New Year! Here’s to hoping–Cheers!

  2. Love all the sweaters!! They are making my long sleeve t-shirts (scoop neck, v-neck, and other assorted varieties!) look vaguely . . . BORING! 🙂
