It’s been another crazy week weather-wise here in Philly. I am not complaining, though. While the temperatures have fluctuated quite a bit, the awful humidity of September has moved out, and it is perfect running weather. I’m linking up to Lindsay’s What I Wore Wednesday carnival again this week and sharing with you the outfits I have put together. As a “work at home mom” with various blogging events to attend, my everyday style is pretty much a mix of casual mom fashion and date night chic. I try to find a balance between classic and trendy while keeping it age appropriate for this almost-40 mama.
Here’s what I came up with this week!
WEDNESDAY: I think I went somewhere that day but I have no idea where, lol. There is nothing on my calendar, but I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t have been carrying my handbag around the house.
Who needs some lipstick!?
The sweater is Calvin Klein from Nordstrom Rack, the loden green tank underneath is from Banana Republic, the jeans are Citizens, and the embellished flats are Nine West. The bordeaux suede handbag is from the Coach Factory Outlet ages ago. I wore a “statement necklace” from Target and a beaded silver bracelet. And the dirty socks in the hallway behind me are compliments of my sloppy kids, and a friendly reminder that the laundry is piling up.
THURSDAY: It was a crisp fall night, so I wore these beige cropped cords by Joe’s Jeans (bought on sale last winter) with this melon-colored sweater from Banana Republic Factory Outlet and brown wedge pumps from the LOFT like 10 years ago. Seriously, I have had these shoes for.ev.er. I doubled up a necklace from Stella & Dot (last season) and matching earrings.
SUNDAY: You’ve seen this before. It was 80 degrees so I took this opportunity to get one more wear out of this dress.
Dress by Maggie London (on clearance at Nordstrom Rack), black wedge pumps by Aldo, bordeaux suede hobo by Coach. Since the dress is busy, I opted for simple hoop earrings and a beaded silver bracelet.
MONDAY: Been there, done that. Seen it. There’s nothing new in the world. But since I’m doing my best to take photos every day, here’s that grey striped tank yet again! (I love this tank because it skims the midsection without being clingy, and the neckline is modest. And yes, I wear it every chance I get!)
Same tank, Paige skinnies rolled up, brown rubber flips, same hoops and beaded bracelet.
TUESDAY: I wore my workout clothes all day. So sue me. BUT. I did work out. So. It’s acceptable, right?
Don’t answer that.

I love that even what you consider not your best is STILL chic! I really love those cropped cords and embellished flats!
Love the lipstick comment. My friend said to me yesterday morning something about my always wearing makeup. I laughed and told her that I always wear lipstick so people think I’m wearing makeup. It’s nice to know I can get away with so little!
I love that dress so much!
Love the outfits this week. I especially liked the Calvin Klein Sweater, I need to shop at the Rack a little more.
I am glad I found this I will bookmark this website
Um, I think your worst day looks great! I seriously need to work on my stay at home outfits!
