Mom Style | What I Wore This Week 03.28.12

For more outfit inspiration, check out all of my Mom Style posts.

This week my outfits are all over the map. It was humid and dreary then warm and sunny then rainy and now it’s just cold. You’ll see!

I was happy to pull out my favorite shorts. In fact, I ended up taking my sweater off it was so warm that day. Everything in this outfit is at least two years old. The white sweater and orange tank are both from Banana Republic, the cuffed jean shorts are Joe’s that I bought on 6pm.com (similar), and the sandals are Frye’s — my big shopping splurge for BlogHer 2010. The bag is Lucky Brand, it was also a sale purchase. I coveted it for months and finally found it on sale and snagged it up. I carry it a lot in the warmer months. For accessories, I wore my Grace Tags necklace and my JanMary Designs bracelet.

I wore this outfit on a warm day to read to my daughter’s classroom. The orange sweater is another oldie but goodie from the Banana Republic Factory Outlet. I wore it with lightweight straight-leg jeans that I got on sale at Bloomies many moons ago and my silver ballet flats. I accessorized with my Studio Jewel Encircled necklace and earrings and my JanMary bracelet.

Dontcha luv the Barbie car in the background? Oh and we got a close up of my JanMary Designs bracelet this week.

I wore this next outfit shopping with a friend. It was drizzly and damp that day, and somehow I managed to tame my hair for this picture at the end of the day, but man oh man was it nasty out! The navy sweater is from . . . wait for it . . . Banana Republic. I should seriously be their blogger ambassador. Dontchathink?? The striped v-neck tee is new this year. It’s from Gap, and I love it. I have two of them, you’ll see the gray one next. It’s really soft and easy to wear, not baggy but not clingy either. Studio Jewel encircled earrings and necklace again, and this time my Lagos bracelet. The green skinny jeans and silver ballet flats are nothing new! I’m getting my money’s worth!!

As promised, the gray striped v-neck Gap tee, and yet another sweater from Banana Republic. If I can’t be a blogger ambassador, I should at least buy stock!! My daughter took this picture. Beggars can’t be choosers, I guess. I found these jeans when I was cleaning out my closet. They are old as the hills, but they are so comfy. It was one of those weird warm, rainy days so I wore my silver sandals from Target. And that’s my Grace Tags necklace again.

Saturday night we went out to dinner with friends, and I wore my cognac leather skirt with an old black top I found buried in the depths of my closet. I don’t usually wear it because it’s too short for jeans, but it’s the perfect length for this skirt. I wore black tights and black suede pumps and the necklace I bought from Lisa at Blissdom. I absolutely love this one and was excited for a chance to wear it.

I dug out this CAbi dress for church on Sunday. It was chilly so I wore it with a jean jacket, and did I mention, it was really bright out? I was trying REALLY hard not to blink.

I love these shoes from You By Crocs — perfect for this in-between weather.

And today it is FREEZING so I’m wearing this pink Gap sweater layered over a pink and gray striped tank with jeans and flats. That necklace is yet another from my Studio Jewel collection.

  1. That last pink sweater is my favorite! We’re comfortably in shorts every day around here now, although I expect one more cold snap out of nowhere still.

By the way, finally found some green cropped pants today. But had to pass–they were too expensive. 🙁

  2. Thanks for lots of mentions of my bracelet 🙂 Lovely to see it again! I’ve received a few emails letting me know I’ve been “festured”!!!

Love seeing your outfits – and hearing what you were up to as well 🙂

  3. Love the gap t-shirts…..what size did you order. I would normally order a medium but I read they run small is this true?

  4. I would love to see your closet! You always have such great outfits, and are great at pulling things from here and there. I’d love to see what you have lots of, what you’ve saved (like that black sweater too short for jeans.. I’d have passed it on, but you knew to keep it for later?!), and what you keep out of your closet. I feel like you mix and match a lot, and I can’t tell if/how I can do that better.. or if you have more options, and I now have an excuse to shop… 😉

  5. I would love a what to wear for Easter post too! Or better yet come shopping with me! Gotta figure it out this weekend:)
