My Daily Looks: What I Wore Lately Vol. 1

It’s time for another edition of my daily looks — this is a roundup of my “real life” outfits over the past couple of weeks. Let’s dive right in!

This first look is a cozy outfit I wore working from home during the day and then to chorus rehearsal in the evening.

This pullover is the softest thing, and I love the length and how it has some shaping through the waist. Also the raglan sleeves are so much more flattering on me than the dropped sleeve that is everywhere right now. It also comes in a pink blush, and I’m wearing the small.

Next up, a look I wore to meet a friend for coffee at Starbucks and then to run some errands on my way back home.

This sweater also comes in ivory, but I love this hthr pine, especially around the holidays. It’s the perfect chunky sweater with the texture of the knit plus the wide ribbing at neck, cuffs, and hem; and yay for traditional shoulder seams! It’s 25% off the already marked down price, and it runs TTS; I have the small.

Hi, this is me at the nail salon… looks like I had a photo shoot that morning, judging from the curled hair.

We had friends over that evening, so I changed into this jeans and sweater outfit.

And yet an other v-neck sweater and skinny jeans . . . this one is more of a light grey, but I’m clearly into light neutrals right now. Unfortunately it sold out after the #NSale. I wore this to get my hair cut and colored, and then to work from home for the rest of the day. Oh, and I just found a very similar Vince sneaker for 40% off.

This was a Saturday, I believe. I ran to Target with the girls and puttered around the house. My REI puffer is 30% off now! It love this jacket — it’s warmer than it looks, and it’s very lightweight and comfortable to wear.

I wore this to church one Sunday morning. We’ve had rain for like the last 4 or 5 Sundays in a row, so I’m always trying to build outfits around shoes I don’t mind getting wet. These snake print booties worked perfectly. This sweater is 40% off, by the way!

That night, we had tickets to see Shrek at the Walnut Street Theatre in Philly, so I changed into coated jeans and this bell-sleeve sweater. The sweater is from last season, so I can’t link it, but I do really like these pants.

Size down, though. These are a 6, and they stretched out to the point that I ended up ordering the 4 when they went back on sale over the weekend. Oh, they’re still on sale! At 40% off, they’re really a steal.

Back to life… back to reality! This was Monday, and I just wanted to be comfortable. Same grey sweater and Mother jeans as above, but with my UGGs this time.

This was a busy day of work and errands and gearing up for the Black Friday/Cyber Monday madness.

These boots came in the mail that day, so I had to try them on. Unfortunately, it looks like they sold out. That’s disappointing. I was hoping to be able to link them all winter.

The next day, I wore this to a party at a friend’s house. I think I’d also been out running errands that day — I remember wearing these boots out and about and thinking they were remarkably lightweight and comfortable for a clunky hiker boot. They look huge on my foot, though. I think I could have sized down half.

That brings us to Thanksgiving Day! This is what I wore to dinner with my in-laws.

This sweater came in my last Trunk Club, and it was on sale when I purchased it. Still a bit of a splurge, but I thought it was really unique and beautiful.

I wore this on Friday to run errands and then to host Friendsgiving that night.

Treasure & Bond fair isle sweater // AG Farrah skinnies // Sorel wedge booties (also at Bloomies and L+T)

Then on Saturday, we went to cut down our tree. We also went to my in-laws’ house and helped them with theirs.

I ended up changing to my longer puffer coat because it was a very cold day, and I figured I’d need the warmth on the bottom when we were at the tree farm, but I love this lightweight washed red puffer for running errands and things.

That brings us to Sunday, and this is what I wore to church. It was pouring rain, so I took my new waterproof suede booties out for a spin, and they held up great!

Okay, this shot is #justkeepingitreal. I actually put on minimal makeup, but it hardly looks like it. And I don’t know why other people look so cute in ponytails. I always feel like I look like I just got back from the gym.

ANYWHO. This sweater is from last year, so I can’t link it, but you will still be seeing a lot of it because I love it and want to marry it. It’s so cozy and soft and warm, and I love the extra long sleeves. Even with the v-neck, I don’t get chilly. Sometimes I layer it under a vest (see above) but I also like it a lot on its own.

It needs a necklace, but I was at home all day (thus the slippers) and figured why bother.

And I sorta wore this yesterday too… but not really. LOL! I had it on to wear, took a picture, then decided I didn’t want to wear a turtleneck for my Facebook Live, so I changed into the cream v-neck sweater.

Then later in the day, I spilled on the cream sweater and changed into the leopard one from above for the rest of the day. (If you saw me on IG Stories, you may have wondered why I changed? Or maybe not…) Anyway. Why I didn’t pull this one on again, I don’t know. So many sweaters, so little time!

I did wear the rest of the outfit, though, and these booties are verrrry comfortable. Also on a ridiculous sale — not as good as they were over the weekend, but still good. They come down to $50 with code FRIENDS.

And that’s a wrap! I know these looks are all very similar . . . it is what it is! That’s how I’m most comfortable.

I’m actually wearing a cardigan over a graphic tee today, because I was putting this post together and decided to try to branch out a bit.

  1. Okay, I literally snorted out loud when you said you wanted to marry that grey sweater. Does it know how much you cheat on it, lol?! As an aside, every time I see you that Lagos necklace I’m thinking I want it. You get a lot of wear out of it, no? I used to only wear good jewelry, and now I often wear cheap jewelry, and I have to justify stepping outside that box…

    1. Haha! I do. It’s so luxe and warm. I really do wear the Lagos a lot. It’s just a little bigger than most of my other pendants, so I feel like it makes more of a statement, without being a statement necklace… if that makes sense. And it’s just so feminine and pretty.

  2. The similar for less booties (Aquatalia) link isn’t working for me. Could you give that link again? Thank you. Always love your My Daily Looks! Arna

  3. Oh I think the pic at the salon is cute.. your hair looks nice with a little curl and of course I can’t resist  a graphic top. The fair Isle sweater with the jeans…. my favorite!!! Question..do you wear your shoes and boots outside and inside?
    Have a great day

  4. I am not one to comment but I wanted to let you know that I enjoy your blog. Also I was at the mall today and the Abeo slippers were 30% off.

  5. Love all your looks, makes me wish I could be wearing my sweaters. Hot flashes limit me! Question on the lord & Taylor booties in the last picture, how would you say they run? Can’t decide if I should size up or not.
