I’m working on memorizing this verse this week. When I am afraid, I will trust in you.In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I will not be afraid. What can mortal man do to me? Psalm 56:3-4
We had a little family celebration last night for R’s 3 year birthday. She’s so proud of herself, and when you ask her how old she is today, she promptly says, "WEE!" This afternoon we’re heading out to a local harvest festival. The weather is GORGEOUS here this weekend. It would be a...
Shannon wrote a great post over at BlogHer about talking to kids about the financial crisis. Which reminds me, I’ve been meaning to ask you what your family is doing to cut back. ARE you cutting back? We certainly are. I choose not to watch the news, personally. I prefer to subscribe to the philosophy...
The thought of artificial nails just sends me right back to high school.
I’d rather not.
I agree. And I have them. And I keep them french and very short, but the upkeep and cost is starting to bug me. I’ll probably let them go and just treat myself to manicures. It’ll be MUCH easier.
Well praise be. You mean one part of me is actually in style? How is that possible?
YAY! I used to do the artificial nail thing, but stopped about 13 years ago b/c I got this fungal infection and it was gross!!! So now at least my hands/fingers are in style now:)
I love having long hard nails but do not like having artificial nails. I decided the best thing for me to do is to keep them with just a little sliver of white showing and keept them highly glossed. I use a buffer and Nivea extra rich hand cream. I do miss the long nails though.
Definitely natural nails for me! I am with you on that sister!!!
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for posting that. As a nail tech, I have taken a stand that I do NOT offer artificial nail services. I do natural nail manicures and pedicures only. I can’t stress enough how important it is to take care of our hands and feet and acrylic and even gel products ruin your nail bed, open the doors for infections and fungus (especially if it’s not done correctly or the equipment isn’t clean) and I’d guess 9 times out of 10 people are getting their nails done by people who don’t speak english (which in the nail industry often means they don’t have a valid nail tech license. Shocking. lol)
