Not Just Your Average Fruit Rollup

Comments are closed.  The winner is announced at Reviewsings.

If you’ve hung around my blog for long, then you know that I’m not a fan of "fruit snacks".  They’re a sure way to rot your teeth, and if you don’t believe me, ask your dental hygienist.  As a result, I don’t keep them around.  (I have had more dental work than any one person has any right to have, so I am kind of freakish about foods that rot the teeth.)

Fruit snacks are, however, a fun treat, and let’s face it.  Kids love ’em.  And if your kids are anything like mine, they also like anything that is personalized or custom-made for them or by them.  So you can imagine my kids’ excitement when I showed them the new website by Fruit Roll-Ups — aptly titled My Fruit Roll-Ups.

On My Fruit Roll-Ups, you design your own box of 30 strawberry-flavored Fruit Roll-Ups based on a variety of themes.  Compliments of the Parent Bloggers Network, I got to design and order one box of My Fruit Roll-Ups.  They are scheduled to arrive right before our family vacation at the shore, so I created a beach theme.  My son had a blast helping me pick the picture and design layout.

The site is easy to navigate, and they have a gazillion bajillion pictures to choose from.  Then you add your very own message, choose a font, color, and size, and that’s it!  For $29.99 plus shipping, you get a box delivered to your door.  It takes about two weeks for your order to come in, so you have to plan ahead.

What a great idea for birthday parties or school holiday parties or basically anything where a personalized treat would be handy.

WIN IT! If you would like to try My Fruit-Rollups, check out their website and then leave a comment on this post, telling me which design you’ll choose if you win.  I will select a winner at random on Friday.  Unfortunately the redemption code is only valid in the U.S.

Good luck!

  1. I would choose the Happy Birthday design. One of the English classes I teach is to a group of Special Needs 3rd and 4th graders. I would give each child this for his/her birthday in the coming school year! Anything with English written on it is a true novelty!! (Plus, I’ll be in the US this summer, so I could have them shipped to my mom’s in Florida without a prob.) 🙂

  2. Cute, although it seems a bit pricey! I think I would choose the Fourth of July 2 pattern as a special treat for when my niece and nephew come for the holiday. All the kids would get a kick out of it!

  3. I would pick the 5 years and a picture of a cat for my daughter. She would get a kick out of there. What the heck are those little aliens at the bottom of the screen saying to me while I browse the fruit rolls ups??

  4. I would probably get the balloons and birthday cake for my daughters’ birthdays. But they would love designing them, so I would let them pick!
