Olay 28 Day Challenge Results #Olay28Day

This content is sponsored by Olay. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Recently I was invited to take the Olay 28 Day Challenge and try out two of their most popular products — Olay Total Effects Moisturizer with SPF 15 and Olay Eyes Deep Hydrating Eye Gel — to prove that using Olay can leave you with visibly healthy skin.

I shared my initial thoughts over on my Facebook Page when I was at my half-way mark, and today I’m ready to share my final results.

For 28 days, I replaced my usual facial moisturizer and eye cream with the following 2-Step regimen:

I was immediately impressed with the effects of both of these products. I tend to have dark circles and bags under my eyes — probably from not drinking enough water. Well, that and gravity. Let’s face it, this over-40 skin is just not the same as it used to be!

I love how the Olay Eyes Deep Hydrating Eye Gel has a cooling sensation that helps alleviate some of the puffiness I always struggle with in the mornings, and it instantly brightens the eye area.

It goes on clear and gradually sinks into my skin. I like to give it some time to settle in before applying my moisturizer.

I’ve always been very conscientious about washing my face and moisturizing at night, but I confess I sometimes skip it in the mornings. For the past 28 days, I’ve been applying the Olay Total Effects Moisturizer with SPF 15 along with the Olay Eyes Deep Hydrating Eye Gel every morning, whether or not I wear makeup, and I’ve definitely seen an improvement in my skin by using a daytime moisturizer consistently.

I feel like my face is brighter and softer, and I’ve noticed that I don’t have any flakiness throughout the day, which sometimes can be an issue for me this time of year.

What I really like about this product, though, is how it preps my face for makeup. It immediately smooths my skin and evens out some of the redness I struggle with so my makeup goes on easier and looks better. Plus it has the SPF so there’s no need for a sunscreen.

The other thing I like about it is that it’s fragrance free. I’m not a fan of skincare products with a strong scent, and even some milder products bother me, but this one is completely free of any scent at all, which I love.

Here’s the picture I took on Day One of the #Olay28Day Challenge, completely makeup free. You can see that I have some redness and discoloration that I like to cover up.

And here I am 28 days in. This picture was taken immediately after applying the two Olay products. Pardon the morning hair, but I think you can see that my skin looks smoother and brighter and less blotchy. It definitely feels smooth and soft, and the moisturizer leaves me with a nice matte finish that is perfect for makeup application.

The best part about this skincare regimen, though, is how simple it is. The Total Effects formula is vitamin-packed to give you 7 signs of visibly healthy skin with a simple skincare regimen that is easy to incorporate into your morning routine.

If you’re looking to simplify your skincare routine with products that are effective, take your own #Olay28Day Challenge and let me know how it goes for you. You can visit Olay Skin Advisor to decide which regimen is right for you. The first 15 readers to make a purchase will get $40 off so be sure to use the code 28DAYS4816 at checkout. (These have already been snapped up!)

  1. You really have a great skin!  My mom always used their products.  I still have a decent amount of my skin care regimen left, but I’ll definitely look at their products. Enjoy your girls day out!

  2. I too have dark circles and bags under my eyes, and my skin is very uncooperative under makeup, I am impressed by how smooth and healthy your skin looks. And Olay products are not as expensive as some of the others. I am thinking maybe Santa can leave these in my stocking wouldn’t that be nice 🙂

  3. I went to the Olay site immediately after seeing the email for your post and put my items in the cart as I use Olay and was so excited to get the discount. Sadly, I get a message that the code cannot be added to my cart. Is it an error?

  4. Jo-Lynne, it may be my error but I don’t see the direct link to the products. I see the link to the advisor, is that the one we use?

  5. I do use Olay. I think a lot of the more expensive products to the same,  as I’ve tried both in my search for that magic potion. Ha!  I haven’t tried their cooling gel but I will pop into my local Shoppers and pick some up this morning.
A mani/pedi with your daughter is a great way to spend your day. Quality one on one time is so important but sometimes hard to carve out of one’s busy schedule. Enjoy!
Your beautiful and you can sing too. So jealous!

  6. Wow! I’m going to have to pick some of this up. I can sure see a difference in your skin and I don’t in anyway mean that badly. I have bags and dark circles and some redness and hyper pigment that I try to cover up. Looks like this will help.

  7. I can definitely see a difference between the start and finish of 28 days. I struggle with skin redness and will have to look into the Olay Advisor soon to see what is recommended for me.

  8. Jolynee, how would you compare your use of Olay products (eye and moisturizer) vs Rodan and Fields?  Just curuios as to your honest thoughts!

    1. Hey Lori, it’s really hard to compare. They’re both good product lines with different key ingredients and benefits. I think a lot of it comes down to what you want to spend as well as your skincare needs. They’re both good options.

  9. Thank you for sharing! As my skin isn’t terribly troublesome (although, gurrl, things aint the same as they used to be), I have been looking for more budget-conscious solutions to good skin rather than taking the plunge into prestige skin care. I know the day will likely come (sooner than I wish), but for now, this looks like a fantastic option for me to try.

  10. Discovered your posts about a month ago- love your outfits !! Casual but trendy ! Have never been faithful to a morning skin routine but will try these 2 for Jan!! Must say though your makeup is always beautiful in your pics – can you share your foundation / powder brand , eye shadow and lip color from this post too ?? Merry Christmas And can’t wait for posts in 2018!!

  11. Thanks for sharing this. I do see a definite improvement overall so I’m curious to try for myself. I’m just not the type to drop a lot on beauty or skincare products, so this may be just what I’m needing. I have been using the cleansing wipes from your recommendation earlier, and I love them. I suffer from dry skin all year, and they are a tad drying for me, but nothing a little moisturizer can’t fix. Their effectiveness and convenience far outweigh that minor detail. 🙂
