Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice

I don’t know about you all, but I can’t get enough of the fall colors this year. Add a pop of leopard, and I’m one happy girl. Today I’m partnering with Nordstrom to share this PSL-inspired look, plus it’s time to earn Triple Points!!!

This ribbed dolman pullover is so soft and easy to wear, and it’s less than $50! It’s on the thinner side, so not super hot if you’re still experiencing some mild fall weather as we are, but it will still be cozy enough for the cooler days to come.

This color is called rust cider, but it reminds me more of a ripe pumpkin. I think it’s a bit more orangey in person; the color on the website is more accurate. For those who don’t love this color near their face, it also comes in navy and grey.

For size reference, I’m wearing a small, so I’d say it runs true to size. The price is nice too!

And as luck would have it, Nordstrom is running a Triple Points Event this week! That’s right, earn triple points on all your Nordstrom, Nordstrom Rack, and Hautelook purchases now through 9/23! For even more Nordstrom shopping recommendations, be sure to visit my Nordstrom Favorites page in The Shop!

As you can see, I’m carrying this tortoiseshell handle tote again. I love the combination of the tan bag with the rust sweater this time of year.

If you missed it the first time, this bag is my newest budget-friendly crush. It’s rare that I find a handbag under $50 that I can recommend without reservation, but this one is definitely a must-have for the season. The quality is so good for the price point; I would never know it wasn’t leather if it didn’t say so in the description. It also comes in black, for those who prefer.

I’m taking a break from my usual skinnies and wearing these straight ankle jeans instead. I’m slowly getting more comfortable with this straight leg silhouette. I think my favorites are the ankle length styles.

These jeans were an Anniversary Sale purchase, but now they are marked down even more! At 60% off, these Frame jeans are an absolute steal. For size reference, I went with the 29. I had the 28, but I ended up exchanging them, and I’m glad I did. These are much more comfortable, and they don’t slide down or bag out at all.

Nordstrom has a ton of options to choose from when it comes to denim styles, at a wide variety of price points. I’ll round up some more options below. As usual, returns are free, and store pickup is always an option if you’re in a hurry. I love their curbside pickup — I don’t even have to get out of my car!

Finally, I’m excited to introduce you to the newest addition to my shoe wardrobe — these kitten heel leopard booties. *SWOON*

I’ve been wanting to give leopard booties a try, but I wasn’t sure I could pull them off, or where exactly I’d even wear them, but when I saw these on sale a few weeks ago, I decided to give them a chance, and I’m so glad I did!

(Remember, you can Favorite any of the items in my shopping widgets — the little product pix at the end of each blog post — and get notified by email when they go on sale!)

What’s especially nice about these is the low heel. The pointy toe and kitten heel keep them on the dressier side, but since it’s only a 2″ heel, they’re extremely walkable.

I kept my accessories simple with this hammered gold coin necklace and double circle drop earrings. All I need to complete this fall look is a pumpkin spice latte!

  1. I just pulled out an old pair of white jeans I’ve had for ages and they are straight legs. So I’m happy to see you wearing these. I guess you could say there are advantages to them. For instance, you don’t have to worry about what to do with them with the ankle booties…they just glide over the top. Instead of having to cuff them or think about tucking them into your booties!
And speaking of booties!!!! OMG…I LOVE these!! I’m kicking myself for not buying a pair 2 years ago when my stepmom (the 70+ model on my blog) did for $15 at DSW…..

    1. Yes, they do seem easier to style, in a way. I just don’t feel like they look right with all types of tops, but maybe they will seem more versatile once they become more mainstream.

  2. I love how you styled the leopard boots. It makes them seem so wearable for ever day life. I tend to see leopard as too “va va voom” but this outfit makes me want to try these boots with a ton of different things in my wardrobe.

  3. Love this outfit! Great color sweater and those booties 😍 can’t wait to get mine tomorrow. I ordered them as soon as I saw them in your newsletter lol!

  4. Good morning! The link for the booties takes me to the same pair but different color.  The “shop the look” picture shows your color (brownish) and an amazing price but when I click it takes me to a black/grey color with regular price. Any tips to finding the ones you show with the sale price? 😀

    1. I am afraid that means this color is sold out? They used to have both this and the black/grey option. Those are cute too tho… in fact, I was thinking I almost wish I’d ordered those instead.

  5. I’m in love with that top and have just placed it in my cart, since I’m at a doctors appointment. Those booties! You look extra fabulous in that outfit! How’s your foot?

  6. This sort of outfit is one of the reasons I love your blog so much. I would have never given that top a second glance if I just saw it on the hanger in the store. But with the right additions to the outfit it becomes an absolute star. Fantastic look!

  7. Very nice, super cute on you!! Love that color, especially with leopard! I got the Sole Society pair of leopard booties AND the leopard heels that have the funky modern heel (Cyndi styled them)- I am READY with the LEOPARD print this year!!!!!!!! 😀 I think I’ve already done all my own Christmas shopping, LOL!!

  8. Those jeans look amazing on you! They are the best looking straight leg you have tried so far. They are a great price, are slimming and show off your booty. Wow!
You’re finally stepping out in leopard. Girl, you’re rocking those kitten heels!   I’d like to see them paired with a dress. I’ll bet that would be super cute!

  9. Fabulous!! You’re killing it in every piece! I loveee that top. I got it in last weekend and it’s so perfect for fall. I don’t really know what I was expecting, but I was surprised by the fabric -not in a bad way, just not what I was thinking. And there’s no better compliment for it than leopard!

  10. I’m so glad I jumped on that bag in tan when you first sent out your email. I can’t wait for it to arrive. Although actually the black color with the tortoiseshell handles is kind of a cute contrast, if I didn’t already have a zillion black bags.

  11. I’m with you on the fall colors and leopard print! I’m so excited to see fall fashion rolling out everywhere but it seems like such a tease for those of us in the south still wearing shorts and flip flops on 95degree days!
I especially love the boots here,  seems like leopard shoes are really trending this year!  Shoes are a great way to add animal print without it being too overpowering!
It gave me an idea for a blog post… what about a roundup post of leopard shoes?  Flats, heels,  booties, etc.  Maybe even clutches?  Don’t know about your other readers but I would love to see it!
Thanks for all the fall outfit inspo!  Keep it coming!

  12. Love this look and I really like the straight leg ankle jeans. I am happy to see more ways to style them, especially with ankle boots. I have been curious to see how they would work together.

  13. Those shoes are super cute. I was in Europe last month and leopard print was everywhere. I think the young can work a top or skirt, but the way for us over 40s to do it is with shoes or bags.
