Ray-Ban for Holiday Gift Giving

Here’s a fun holiday gift idea for you that may not be one of the first things that comes to mind this time of year — stylish designer sunglasses like these new Ray-Ban Hexagonal Flat Lenses.

I don’t often think about giving sunglasses at holiday time, but they’re actually a fabulous gift idea any time of year. After all, the sun shines just as brightly in the winter as it does in the summer (sometimes more so!) and it’s super important to protect your eyes all year-round. We might as well look fabulous while we’re at it.

Ray-Ban is best known for their classic aviators, but the most recent additions to the Ray-Ban lineup include these rockin’ hexagonal and octagonal flat frames as well as the trendy signet and clubround styles.

I chose a pair of the hexagonal flat lenses to take for a test drive, and I think they’re so fun. I normally wouldn’t gravitate to this style, but I think they’re actually flattering, and the flat lenses are really cool.

In addition to looking great, they’re super lightweight and feel good on. After a while, I forgot I was wearing sunglasses at all. I’m used to wearing plastic frames, and I like how well these stay in place with the nose pads.

I don’t know about you, but one of the things that makes me hesitant to buy eyewear online is that it’s hard to tell how they’ll look on your face, but Ray-Ban thought of that, and they created a Virtual Mirror so you can try them on virtually from the comfort of your own home. If for any reason they don’t work out, returns are free and easy.

Shipping is free as well, and most orders arrive within two days. Custom orders may take longer, but the process is quick and painless. They are also offering free holiday gift wrapping on all orders!

If the newer trendier styles aren’t for you or your special someone, their traditional styles are available with a myriad of styling options. I love how you can build your own and choose everything from the frames to the lenses to the temple tips to the case. You can even have them engraved.

I just customized a pair of aviators to see how the process works, and I love how they show you exactly how they’ll look before you finalize your purchase. Of course, I had to make mine pink and gold. I hope Santa’s reading!

Ray-Ban.com also has an exclusive line of special edition styles called the @Collection featuring never seen before details such as dedicated engraving on the temple tips and case and premium packaging, including a premium case and engraved black box, making them an extra special gift.

I’m personally a huge fan of these hexagonal flat lenses. I think they’d make a great gift for someone special, and they’re a fun way to update your style. They come in six colors including the gold lilac mirror I’m sporting here.

But there are so many more fun styles available. Here are more of my faves.

  1. Signet with Gold/Light Blue Gradient
  2. Erika Classic with Brown/Violet Gradient
  3. Aviator Flash Lenses with Gold/Cyclamen Flash
  4. New Wayfarer Classic with Tortoise/Light Brown Gradient
  5. Chromance with Gunmetal Silver Mirror (a great gift for the guy in your life!)
  6. Octogonal Flat Lenses with Gold/Silver Flash

I love how sunglasses are an accessory these days. It used to be, you only had one pair of sunglasses, but now it’s perfectly acceptable to have several pairs that you rotate depending on what you’re wearing and where you’re going.

I intentionally paired these hexagonal shades in gold lilac mirror with this v-neck sweater in neon violet because they compliment each other so well.

I kept the look casual with distressed skinny jeans and taupe booties. The taupe crossbody coordinates with the boots and pulls the outfit together. i just added some simple silver jewelry, and this mom-about-town look is complete! It’s basic but on trend due to the distressed skinnies, booties, and, of course, the fabulous lilac and gold hexagonal flat lenses!

  1. I hope it wasn’t too difficult getting the kids out of bed and dressed appropriately for the family photos! Most teens like getting their lengthy sleep time in. Jo-Lynned, I think that lilac top is so pretty on you! The color is so flattering. I want to see if RayBan makes sunglasses that fit nicely over eye glasses, since Larry nor I can go without our regular glasses.

    Have a blessed day!

  2. I love those sunglasses and I’m in the market for some new ones so I’ll keep those in mind. How was the sizing on the sweater?
    Thanks for another great post!

  3. A number of months ago, you mentioned something regarding the 1-2-3 of things to pay attention to when putting an outfit together. Would you briefly explain that? Thanks.
