I’m a sucker for comfy pajamas, probably because my favorite time of day is when I take off my makeup and put on my pajamas for the evening.

I usually come back downstairs for a while and watch TV with my family or read, so I like my pajamas to be somewhat modest, and I recently picked up a few new pajama sets for spring at Nordstrom.
These Star Seeker Pajamas are super lightweight and buttery soft. We keep our house pretty cool in the summertime, so sometimes I like to put on long sleeves and long pants that are lightweight and summery, and I thought the design on these is kind of fun.
They have the jogger style pajama pants, and I bought these in the size medium because the size chart says M=4-6.
I also picked up these Acorn ‘Waffle’ Spa Slippers in the size large. I have a pair similar to these from a couple years ago that are pretty much worn out, so I wanted a fresh pair.
These are super soft and cushiony, with a plush terry lining and contoured footbed, and they have a skid-resistant rubber sole that allows you to wear them outdoors if you need to run to the mailbox or something.
While I was there, I also picked up a pair of their Moonlight Eco Short Pajamas in this pretty Purple Bloom Delilah Floral print.

These are one of Nordstrom’s staple sleepwear sets, and they also come in plus sizes. They make some with crop pants and long pants as well.
I usually go for crewneck or v-neck pullover style pajama tops, but I really like this menswear-inspired button-up collared style for a change. I was afraid it would feel fussy, but it’s very comfortable.
The inseam on these shorts is 3 1/2″, but they have a soft and stretchy waistband, and I usually wear my pajamas a little below my waist, so these don’t feel too short.
I wasn’t sure about sizing, so I ordered these in both the small and medium and kept the small, so they seem to run true to size.
The grey blanket I’m sitting on is the Nordstrom Bliss Plush Throw, and we have those all over the house. There’s one on every couch, and most of us have one in our bedrooms.
They are so soft and cozy, they wash up beautifully, and they don’t shed. They make great gifts for moms and graduates, and they’d make a good end-of-year teacher gift as well.

Both pj sets are so cute! Like you, I look forward to getting into my pajamas every day, but a habit I began while I was working has stuck with me, so my preference is to be showered and dressed for bed before 5 p. I do have to keep on my undergarments and look presentable since I never know who will show up at our door before dark. I do hope that you are able to get a nap in today. Take it easy and enjoy Savannah being your shadow. She knows her momma is not feeling good.
She is so funny. She follows me everywhere and curls up right beside me or on the floor nearby.
So glad your surgery is done and you are up and moving. I had this done 20 years ago (I’m 63) and it was the best thing I ever did. A little tip…..don’t ask your self if it was worth for 3 weeks. I kept asking myself that during the healing period and I was so swollen and sore that I didn’t think it was worth it. Fast forward a couple of months, felt like a new woman!
Thanks, Mary. I think I was pretty well prepared for the physical and emotional toil this will take, and I’m having no regrets so far. That said, I cannot WAIT to be all healed and back to all my activities.

Praying that you have a speedy recovery! These are my current favorite styles of pajamas. I especially love the print on the short set!
Ordering 2 pairs of pjs– the purple ones and a Kate Spade pair popped up as similar. I’ve just moved in next door to my son and his family so we have visitors all the time now. I think it’s time I upped my pj wear. I tend to wear inexpensive tanks and either long or short pj bottoms depending on where I am and how cool it is but it would be fun to have a matching pair.

So good to hear from you this morning and glad you are taking it easy and yes……get your naps in. You look really cute in your new P.J. outfits. I was just thinking the other day that I needed to purge my P.J.’s and buy new. I love the pattern/color on the shorts P.J.’s. Your light blue chairs in your living room are pretty. I don’t think I remember seeing those when you had bought your navy couch and redid your space. Rest up and prayers for your quick recovery. Sorry its been rough the last few days.
PS I have 2 of the bliss blankets and they are the best. I don’t think they ever look like they wear out. I notice my husband grabs them the most, as they are so soft and comfortable. Perfect weight. My daughter gifted me my first one and then I bought another for myself and bought some for gifts for others after that. I usually buy them at the Nordstrom sale they have.

I expect it will, but it will be interesting to see where my chest measurement ends up. Because my old bra held me up so well, it may not end up being that different from before; I will just have a lot less volume under it all? We’ll see!
I love my pj’s and gowns too, I’ve never been one to just sleep in t-shirt. Prayers for a speedy recovery and take it easy, build yourself back gradually and give your body time to heal.

The pajamas are super cute. I prefer nightgowns, otherwise they’re too hot to sleep in. Thoughts and prayers going your way for a smooth and comfortable recovery.
And I hate how nightgowns ride up and get all twisty, lol. I used to wear nightshirts when I was in college, but at some point, I switched to pajamas. But thanks for the reminder that some ladies like nightgowns. Next time I’ll include some of those too!

Well, I felt like there was no way to share the sizing and fit info that I do without mentioning at some point. I guess I could have waited until it’s all over, but I’m happy to be a resource for women reading along who may be considering it. I haven’t been putting updates on social media, though, because too many of my friends’ kids follow me on those channels, and I thought that would be awkward. 🙂

So glad surgery is behind you and now in healing mode. I am enjoying the PBS Masterpiece dramas Annika (Scottish marine detective drama) and Ridley Road (drama set in 1960s). If you donate to PBS, can stream their shows. I just finished reading Malibu Rising by Taylor Jenkins Reid. It was an enjoyable, easy read. Most of her books are like that.
