A Christmas Stocking Befitting A Tween

I’ve JUST about wrapped up my major Christmas shopping. Now I’m moving on to stocking stuffers. Yay me! I don’t think I’ve ever been this prepared. I guess it’s all the time I’ve spent at my computer this season; I just keep ordering stuff as I create my gift guides, and I’m almost done. Score!

Stocking Stuffers for Teens with CVS Beauty Club

For stockings, I like to load them up with mostly things the kids need plus one or two fun surprises. I usually end up at CVS on Christmas Eve because it’s so convenient. It’s close-by, and the parking lot is never too crazy. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to come within two miles of a shopping mall the week before Christmas! Plus they have all of the candy, toiletries, school supplies and odds and ends that I need to fill a stocking.

Nowadays, my tween daughter’s favorite store is CVS. It’s hilarious. It used to be, every time I was going to the mall, she wanted to tag along so she could get a toy from Justice. Now? It’s beauty products at CVS. Whenever I mention I need to run over to CVS for something, she plants herself in the front seat of my car.

So it’s fitting that I’m teaming up with CVS Beauty Club to put together a Christmas stocking that is chock full of fun beauty products for tween girls.

CVS has a great variety of products at a range of price points that make the perfect stocking stuffers for tweens and teens. Plus, the more I spend on beauty at CVS, the more ExtraBucks I earn. I had so much fun shopping for this.

I picked out a sweet-smelling shampoo because it seems like she runs through a bottle of shampoo every week. I picked up a wide-tooth comb and some bobby pins and ponytail holders because those things seem to have legs that walk away.

She’s starting to battle the acne so I bought her favorite acne cleanser and moisturizer.

The EOS lipgloss is a favorite among young girls. This is an ESSENTIAL tween girl stocking stuffer right here, people.

Then I got her a new nail file (pink, of course!) and some stick-on nail art.

The surprise she won’t be expecting is the eyelash curler. She’s been BEGGING for that, and I keep putting her off, but I finally decided she’s old enough handle it. Oh, and I also got her a tube of her favorite Cover Girl mascara. Somehow that didn’t make the picture. Ooops!

She will also get a new toothbrush. I always put toothbrushes in my kids’ stockings.

Finally, what’s a Christmas stocking without candy? A bag of Hershey Kisses and a candy cane round out this stocking befitting a tween.

She will LOVE this. I can’t wait to see her face on Christmas morning. Heck, I know a lot of adults who would love this! In fact, if you’re filling a gift basket for someone this holiday season, consider filling a stocking instead. It makes such a festive holiday present.

  1. I have seen those cute little EOS ‘eggs’ or globes or balls everywhere. Glad to know what they are! So many of these gereat things have been staples in the stockings at our house. Thank you for a walk down Memory Lane.

  2. It’s god to know that I am not the only CVS lover. I go there and lose my mind purchasing all kinds of things. I filled up my stockings on Christmas eve there last year because I forgot. I discovered empty stockings after cleaning the dinner dishes. I got some great times and I might wait again.

  3. Always printing photos from my CvS app on my phone for 25 cents each..decorated my new home office and sent some to 19 yr old in Navy Bootcamp!

  4. I love to buy Epsom salts for my bath, and add lavender essential oil. Love your stocking stuffers. Have your girls tried Jamberry nails? My college daughter brought some home from school. Pretty neat!

  5. I love everything at CVS. I go there weekly. I love to get makeup there and between the extra bucks and beauty club, it’s my favorite store to shop at.

  6. All great ideas! I also always put a package of thank you notes in each child’s stocking, so they have them ready to write after the gift opening!

  7. How fun, she will love that stocking for sure! That how we do stockings in our family mostly odds and ends you need and maybe their favorite candy.

  8. I can’t seem to walk out of there without a new bottle of nail polish. I tried to Sally Hansen Gel polish based on your review. I love it but with they had more color options.

  9. Are you sold old you forgot that you meant to say you’re too YOUNG to have a daughter into makeup? 😉

I swear every time I’m at CVS I have to get another nail clipper. Those things disappear faster than anything in this house.

  10. I love when they have sales on their beauty items! I usually load up on my favorite Loreal mascara because CVS is one of the only places I can find it now….which I hope isn’t a sign that it’s being discontinued soon!!

  11. Great ideas, and I agree that EOS lipgloss is an absolute must! I keep several packages on hand at all times to put in with birthday presents, etc. (I have to hide these so my girls don’t open them, LOL)!

  12. My granddaughter loves the EOS lipgloss too. Plus we go to CVS all the time. Thanks for the suggestions as I will be helping with stocking stuffers when we visit them in Florida!!!

  13. Oh I love buying my shampoo and conditioner there, they always have such a huge selection! I also love buying their shower gels!!! Great stocking stuffers too!

  14. I love so many things from Fructus Hair Shine Spray, CVS brand cold cream, Revlon lipsticks, sigh I could go on and on!!

  15. We have a 24 hour CVS down the road which is handy for all those nights when you need something last minute. I always waste a lot of time in there and spend a lot too! My girls are getting their own eos lip balms too in their stockings since they always grab for mine!

  16. My daughter has a vast collection of EOS 🙂 and is obsessed with the eyelash curler! We love to buy hair care and nail polish at CVS.

  17. I just discovered a brand called Physician’s Formula at my local CVS. Since I strive to use non-toxic products, this is one that actually meets my requirements! I was thrilled to see it at CVS for less than I saw it in my supermarket.

  18. EOS is going in my daughter’s stocking too. My stocking tip, even though it is more work, is to wrap everything in coloured tissue paper. Makes opening your stocking much more fun (and lucky for me my husband will do the wrapping while watching football!). I have two teens and thought stockings would be so much harder as they got older, but it’s actually been pretty easy – magazines, a new book, cool phone cases, lipgloss, iTunes cards and fun little toys like rubber band shooters. And candy like Hershey kisses of course!

  19. I buy most of my makeup and personal supplies at CVS. I really like the $5 Extra Bucks I receive when I spend $50 on those items.;-)

  20. My favorite thing to buy at CVS is a Maybelline Colorsensational lipstick. I have had really good luck with this lipstick color actually staying put.

  21. GREAT stocking stuffer ideas. Can teen girls ever have too many bobby pins? Are they all over your house like they are mine? 🙂 My teen LOVES beauty products and CVS has a great selection.
