Wherein Fun Was Had By All

Tuesday was one of those mornings when I woke up and didn’t want to go ANYWHERE.  It was damp and dreary and the perfect day to hunker down in front of the computer in my cozy sweats with a mug of coffee by my side and bang out a bunch of work.  But you see, I had this invitation to a blogger event at The Little Treehouse.  And I knew that my 5-year-old would drive me INSANE if we stayed at home all day, but that she would LOVE The Little Treehouse.  So we went, and I’m so glad I did.

The Little Treehouse is the PERFECT place to take your kids on a rainy day.  It’s a large play space filled with wooden toys and play structures, there’s a tumbling room (my daughter’s favorite part), and a cafe with good quality coffee and yummy treats as well as a lunch and dinner menu.  My daughter was in seventh heaven.  How could a kid NOT love this?

Of course I was in my element, hanging out with my PSMM girls.  Here’s Chrissy (the mastermind behind this whole event) and my good friend Trina.

And this is Brandy, my driving buddy Sarah, and Linda.

My daughter ALWAYS gravitates to these — every doctors office and Stride Rite has one.  I used to think I should get her one and then I realized that it would no longer hold any charm for her if she had access to one 24/7.

Even the food was good.  Clearly this place is run by a mom who KNOWS that quality play for the kids is great, but quality food for the adults is KEY.

No, I didn’t eat any of this.  But it LOOKED divine, and everyone said it was.  I had a salad that was delicious.

In addition to good food and lots of fun, Chrissy put together fantabulous swag bags full of goodies and coupons to local Chestnut Hill shops.  I think I’ll have to take a day trip there again sometime just to use all of the coupons I got!  There was even a gluten free cookie from Cookies For Me.  If you have food allergies and sensitivities in your family, THIS is the place for YOU!

Mega thanks to Chrissy and The Little Treehouse for a fantastic Mommy and Me outing.  Now, if you’d only open a Little Treehouse near me!

  1. I love places like that, always so much for kids and moms to do.

Boo loves those things too, and everytime we are at the clinic she runs for it. I don’t get it, but she is happy so who cares!

  2. This place looks amazing! I’m in the Reading area, moving back to Philly soon, and I can’t wait to check it out!

  3. It was so great seeing you on Tuesday and meeting your little girl. Looking forward to the next time. We love the Treehouse, hoping to do some tumbling classes with Finn!
