2020 Black Friday/Cyber Monday Shopping Guide

UPDATED: MONDAY, NOVEMBER 30

Good Cyber Monday Morning!!!! 🥳✨🎉  It’s here, the best shopping day of the year!

I was up bright and early this morning, updating this post with the latest and best Cyber Monday sales and adding a few new ones. If you’ve been holding out, waiting for the very best deals, now is the time to SHOP!

NEW TO SALE TODAY:

Everlane // Up to 40% off New Sale Styles Added Today.

HSN // Tons of Black Friday Deals, plus $20 off your order of $100 or more with code 185025, plus free shipping and FlexPay on everything. The Sporto Minor boots I featured last week came in, and they’re really good!

Naadam // They dropped their prices even further and added more styles to their sale for Cyber Monday, and these prices are truly insane. Please note, however, they are final sale.

Pandora Jewelry // I’m not sure how I forgot this before, but Pandora has 35% off all their jewelry today, prices as marked. I rounded up a bunch of holiday gift ideas in THIS POST.

Tarte Cosmetics // 40% off!!!! This is a crazy price on these popular items. I use this eye shadow palette almost exclusively right now, and their iconic Shape Tape Concealer is included as well.

Abercrombie & Fitch

40% off the entire store, plus an additional 15% off select styles online.

Their sherpas are super cozy, and long enough to wear with leggings. They also have good coats and denim. If you’re shopping for teens and college age kids, this is a great place to shop!

AllSaints

30% off everything through December 1.

AllSaints Dalby Biker Jacket (size 8; size up)

AllSaints is known primarily for their quality leather goods — their leather jackets, particularly, but they also have nice bags and shoes. Everything has a rather rugged, rocker vibe.

I finally scored myself one in this gorgeous Oxblood when it went on sale at Nordstrom a while back. Sizes are limited, but they’re currently 30% off. Size up; I have the 8.

FYI, all sizes are currently available in the black.

American Eagle

40% off (including jeans) + free shipping.

oversized sherpa lined hoodie

My 15-year-old LOVES this store, especially their women’s jeans. It’s pretty much the only place she shops anymore. If you’re shopping for teen girls or boys, here are some ideas for you.

Ann Taylor

50% off everything + free shipping with code CYBER, PLUS an extra 20% off sweaters and $99 outerwear. Ends 12/1.

Also, get an additional 25% off your first purchase when you open and immediately use your ALL Rewards Credit Card.

moto // jeans // cardigan// tank // belt // bag // turtleneck

shimmer cardigan // velvet skinnies // sheath

Anthropologie

30% off everything.

Anthro rarely puts everything on sale, and 30% off is practically unheard of. So many good deals in here on products that rarely go on sale — like Mother Jeans and the SLIP silk face masks!

Mother Looker // Mother Tomcat

Athleta

$20 off select tights + 20% off your purchase. Ends 11/29. They only do this once or twice a year. So many favorites…

Bloomingdale’s

Take 20% off when you spend $100+ or take 25% off when you spend $250+ or take 30% off when you spend $500+ on items labeled “CYBER TAKE UP TO 30% OFF: DISCOUNT APPLIED IN BAG.”

Plus, Cyber Deals priced as marked, like $69.99 select Aqua and C by Bloomingdale’s cashmere, $99 select premium denim, 30-40% off women’s sweaters (my Equipment turtleneck is 30% off), 40% off select handbags, 50% off select boots, and so much more.

Historically, Bloomies has been my favorite department store for denim, and they often run really good sales that are even better than the promos.

AG Farrah in Black Ink and 12 Years Fluid

The cashmere from the C by Bloomingdale’s and Aqua brands are comparable to Halogen, or maybe slightly better quality, and this weekend most of their styles are $69.99 — a crazy good price for 100% cashmere. (Size up if in between.)

Aqua cashmere v-neck // Aqua cashmere turtleneck

And if you want to splurge on a luxury brand, I highly recommend looking at Equipment, Theory, and Vince.

I snagged this Equipment turtleneck on an end of season clearance sale a couple seasons ago, and it’s one of my go-to basics for fall/winter.

similar Equipment cashmere turtleneck

Bombas

20% off with CHEER20.

Paul loves these socks, and they also make women’s. These make great stocking stuffers!

Bonobos

30% off with code BLACKFRIDAYWEEK. Ends tonight, 11/29. (I anticipate a slightly better sale tomorrow for Cyber Monday, but I have no intel on that.)

These are Paul’s favorite pants, but they have everything. Their coats look really nice too!

Colleen Rothschild Beauty

Exclusive Deals + 30% off regular price items, use code: CM2020.

I’m a big fan of Colleen Rothschild Beauty products, and I’ve used them off and on for years. Here are a few of my favorites:

Dermstore

Up to 30% off with code SHARETHELOVE. Ends 11/30.

This is an amazing price on my new favorites, the colorescience Total Eye 3-N-1 Renewal Therapy, and the eltaMD UV Elements tinted sunscreen. Plus, I just ordered this Brush On SPF to use before exercising.

Elemis

Enjoy up to 35% off, plus a FREE 5-piece day or night gift, when you spend $125 after discount.* Choose your gift in your shopping bag. Use Code: SURPRISE.

Of all the cleansing balms I’ve tried, I think this one is my favorite. It’s between this and the Colleen Rothschild — both are on sale. Both smell wonderful and dissolve makeup beautifully.

Express

50% off everything with free shipping + new Big Deals added like $35 Jeans and $99 Coats!)

I recently styled this look with Express, and I was impressed by the fit and quality of all the clothing I tried.

This sweater is luxe and soft (and no wool) and the jeans are unlike anything I’ve ever tried. They’re basically a knit, and they feel more like sweatpants than jeans, but they have a nice fit and hold their shape. They’re also just $35!

sweater ($30!)// jeans ($35!) // booties // scarf ($19!) // coat ($99!) // earrings

HSN

Tons of Black Friday Deals, plus $20 off your order of $100 or more with code 185025, plus free shipping and FlexPay on everything.

The Sporto Minor boots I featured last week came in, and they’re really good! They run TTS; I ordered the 8 1/2 and they’re a little roomy. I could definitely have done with the 8.

J.Crew

Get 50% off your purchase + extra 10% off with code CYBER.

I love J.Crew for sweaters and coats, in particular.

leopard turtleneck // mockneck sweater // wool cocoon coat

J.Crew Factory

50% – 70% off everything + extra 15% off your purchase with code POWERUP.

J.Crew Factory has a similar vibe to J.Crew at a lower price point.

fair isle sweater // straight jeans // colorblock crew

Kendra Scott

Get 30% off almost everything and 25% off fine jewelry and sterling silver collections. One of my favorites for fashion jewelry, this is a really good deal!

LOFT

Free ship + 50% off your purchase with code CYBER.

They’ve added some really cute pieces, so I updated my graphic below and placed an order. Hopefully they won’t sell out so I can include them in my next Try On Haul!

Lululemon

Select items on sale. Warning: most of these are final sale, but if you know your size there are some really good deals in here!

Madewell

40% off your purchase with code THXINTERNET.

I love Madewell primarily for sweaters and denim, and they also have some nice leather goods.

Madewell Ex-Boyfriend Pullover (S)

Minted

Enjoy 25% off everything. Plus, FREE shipping. Use code: CM2020 | Ends Tuesday, 12/1 at 9AM PT.

This is when I always order my Christmas cards!

I always order my holiday cards from Minted. I love the quality and the designs they have to choose from. Historically, this sale does get better on Cyber Monday, so I plan to order mine tomorrow.

You can get your design all set and ready to go today, save it, and place your order tomorrow.

Naadam

Up to 70% off, new styles just added, pries as marked! NOTE: These are final sale.

Naadam has some of the most luxurious cashmere I’ve ever worn, and it’s also sustainably sourced. Yes, the price point is up there, but they have the thickest, softest, most gorgeous knit I’ve tried to date.

This ribbed scoopneck sweater is from last year, and they still have it. It isn’t as thick as some of their other pieces, but I love the ribbed texture.

Naadam Cashmere Scoop Sweater (S)

My favorite Naadam sweater is no longer available, but I just put this cashmere boatneck (merlot) and this oversized v-neck (teal) in my cart.

last year’s Naadam cashmere classic v-neck (this one is sorta similar, but oversized) // Frame skinnies

Nordstrom

Cyber Deals: Up to 50% off + an extra 60% off clearance.

Oh my goodness… where to start!?! My white quilted The North Face jacket and the stripe blanket wrap coat I styled last month both went on sale!

faux fur moto (S) // wrap coat (S) // quilted jacket (S)

I did end up returning the Vince faux fur moto, but it is stunning coat and well worth the sale price if it fits your lifestyle. I wish I could justify keeping it.

Halogen cashmere is some of the best value around, especially when it goes on sale. It’s not as thick as the higher quality brands, but it’s very soft and wearable, and it holds up well for a season or two.

Halogen cashmere turtleneck (S)// cashmere v-neck (S)// cashmere crew neck (S)

If you want to take it to the next level, Nordstrom Signature is on par with some of the pricier name brands, and this cashmere v-neck is a classic you will have for years. (I’m kind of debating that olive…)

Nordstrom Signature cashmere v-neck sweater (S)

Good American skinnies (6/28) // Kut from the Kloth Donna (6/28) // rag & bone Dre (27; size down)

Marc Fisher Oshay Booties (TTS)

BlankNYC moto (M) // Vince Camuto booties (size up half) // Vince stripe sweater (M) // AG Prima (28)

Pandora Jewelry

35% off all their jewelry today, prices as marked. I rounded up a bunch of holiday gift ideas in THIS POST.

Quince

Cashmere starting at $24.90.

Quince is a new brand to me, and they’re sort of an Everlane contender. Their motto is “high quality essentials at radically low prices” and I ordered one of their cashmere sweaters to compare to some of the other brands. I have to say, I’m impressed!

They also have cashmere sweatpants for $89.90 right now. That’s 30% off their already low prices, so I think I’m going to have to take the plunge.

Quince Mongolian Cashmere Sweatpants 30% off

Rebecca Minknoff

Take 30% off your order of $150 with code TAKE30, or 35% off your order of $250 with code TAKE35.

Rebecca Minkoff has long been one of my favorite contemporary designers for handbags that are classic yet modern and perhaps a tad edgy. The quality is excellent for the price point. All of these come in other colors as well…

Soma

40% off almost everything with code 97965 + $29 Cool Nights Pajama Sets (reg $70) and $39 Cozy Lounge Wraps and $49 Plush Robes.

I have several pairs of their Cool Nights pajamas, and I love them! I also have their cool nights short robe (not on sale, unfortunately) and highly recommend the Vanishing 360 Hipster for absolutely no VPL (visible panty lines).

Sorel

Up to 40% off + free shipping!

Today’s Special Deal is these Evie Lace-Up Wedge for 50% off! These are super cute — stylish and practical — very similar to my Joan of Arc wedge zips below.

Sorel is pretty much synonymous with quality, stylish winter boots. I have this pair, which I haven’t worn yet this season because it just got cold here, but I will definitely be wearing them a lot! They run true to size, are waterproof, and very lightweight and comfortable to wear all day.

Sorel Women’s Joan of Arctic Wedge II Zip Bootie (size 8)

Sorel Women’s Joan of Arctic Boot (size 8)

me: Sorel Slimpack Duck Boots (size 9; size up!!)// Paul: Men’s Madson II Moc Toe Boot

Sweaty Betty

Up to 70% off select items, and 30% off everything else, automatically applied at basket.

Jo-Lynne Shane wearing a stylish all-black workout outfit with Sweaty Betty merino hoodie and 7/8 technical leggings, Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 36 running shoes, and Adidas Trefoil Baseball Cap.

Sweaty Betty All Sport Backpack // Sweaty Betty 7/8 Power Workout Leggings

Sweaty Betty makes some really nice quality and extremely flattering workout wear. I discovered them last spring, when lockdown went into effect, and I’m still enjoying everything I purchased. Their leggings are uber flattering, and they have some really cute tops/sweatshirts as well. I just ordered this running tank and warmup hoodie.

Unfortunately their website does not play nicely with ShopStyle and I can’t seem to make one of those clever shopping widgets with my favorites, but I have and love these Zero Gravity Cropped Running Leggings and these 7/8 Power Workout Leggings. Both are 30% off right now. These Power Mesh 7/8 Leggings are similar and currently 50% off!

The all sport backpack (pictured above) is gorgeous and so useful, and I also have this Luxe Fleece Hoodie, but only small sizes are currently available.

Talbots

50% off entire site, plus $50 off every $200 you spend + free shipping!

talbots tech fleece leggings

stripe sweater (S) // cowlneck pullover (S) // fleece leggings (S) // suede ankle boots (size down half)

Tarte Cosmetics

40% off!!!! This is a crazy price on these popular items.

I use this eye shadow palette almost exclusively right now, and their iconic Shape Tape Concealer is included as well.

This gift set looks awesome and also this Merry Metals brush set. Shop their Best Sellers here.

Timeless Skin Care

50% off $75+ with code BLACKFRIDAY50.

I use their Coenzyme Q10 Serum and Vitamin C + E Ferulic Acid Serum every morning, and I just ordered the Matrixyl Synthe’6 to add to my nighttime regimen.

I’m also curious about their Dark Circle Eye Cream. It’s not one of my bigger issues, but I know some women who really struggle with this. Could be worth a try.

ULTA

Lots of Black Friday Deals + $3.50 off your $15 purchase with code 811199.

I love this Becca setting powder, and it’s half off! Clinique cleansers and makeup removers are 30% off; I just ordered this Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm to try since I’ve heard good things about it.

I’ve also been testing out this Purity One Step Facial Cleanser, and I really like it. It’s 40% off right now.

Beachwaver hair tools are 25% off, and IT Cosmetics is giving away a free translucent setting powder with an IT Cosmetics foundation purchase. This is an amazing deal! It appears to be full-sized.

Wet Brushes are buy one, get one 50% off, Lorac eye shadow palettes are 50% off, and this BeautyBlender set would make a great stocking stuffer.

Victoria Emerson

Take 50% off; prices as marked.

This is as good as it gets, folks! Victoria Emerson is now 50% off site-wide, plus a bunch of new styles have been added!

Alicante Cuff

Vince

Enjoy 30% off in store and sitewide with code NOVEMBER30.

As you probably know, my love for Vince cashmere runs deep. This boiled wool funnel neck came in a Trunk Club last year. I didn’t keep it, but at 30% off, it’s tempting…

Vince Boiled Cashmere Funnel Neck Pullover (size S)

They also have it in a fitted turtleneck version… this is the thickest, softest knit I have probably ever had on my person. The warmth is incredible… which can be good or bad, depending on your perspective. I’m always cold, so I love it.

This Weekend V-Neck is one I own, and I love it. It’s similar to the Equipment one I linked in the Bloomingdale’s section — the fit is slightly oversized, front-tucks beautifully, and the quality is outstanding.

These are classic pieces you can keep for many years, so the cost per wear ends up being very low when all is said and done.

  1. This would be a great post, but it’s so hard to follow and so frustrating with all of the ads and pop-ups. I get that ads pay your salary, but this seems excessive and off-putting. That said, after I closed what felt like 100 pop-ups and weeded out what was actually your content, it was good to see what sales some of the stores are running.

  2. I had the same experience as Stephanie. Lots of ads and pop ups, not related to your content (e.g. United Healthcare). Though they didn’t necessarily obliterate your content, I did have to scroll a lot to get past them.

Also, when I clicked on “reply” under Stephanie’s post or your response,  I wasn’t presented with a box to type in my reply.

I am using an iPhone to view your post.

    1. Thanks for the feedback. Is this the same for all my posts, or just this one? I’m trying to figure out if something weird is going on, or if it’s the way the ads are set up. I can have my ad network look into it. Meanwhile, I can disable in-post ads on this one.

  3. Hi Jo-Lynne, the pop-ups seem worse on some post than others. Also, if I quickly scroll all the way to the bottom of the post first, then go back to the top and read/scroll at a “leisurely” pace, the pop ups don’t happen (it’s like they have to pop up the first time you’re scrolling through the post, even quickly as described above, and then the ads are “satisfied” they’ve been seen and don’t pop up on the subsequent reading/scrolling. Hope that makes sense.

    1. Hm, I wonder if it’s b/c it is set up to load my content first, and then the ads. That is supposed to be better for the user experience, so the ads don’t slow down my content from loading, but as a result, it can make the page seem to jump around as the ads load last.

I will talk to my ad network and see what can be done.

I get it. I read websites too, and I hate ads. I actually have a lot of features turned off, that I find annoying personally, which means I make less than I could from my ads. I really do try to find a balance between a good user experience and my own income potential, so constructive feedback like yours is very helpful.

  4. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family! Counting your blog as one of my blessings to enjoy and get a break from reality. Hope your day is relaxing and joyful.

  5. Pop up or not, your blog is the best out of all the blogs I subscribe to! Very detailed and honest feedback that helps with buying decisions!
Happy Thanksgiving  to you and yours!

  6. This post is going to be very helpful tomorrow! Hope that your Thanksgiving is a special one this year…small and intimate!

  7. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family 👪.
Thank you for all you do for us!!
Awesome sales!! I am waiting for so much stuff to arrive! 😉
    Blessings.

    Cindy

  8. Happy Thanksgiving to you, your husband, daughters and son!!! 🦃
Thanks for your kind words!!! You are an awesome person!! I love reading your blog and I have learned so much!!
May God continue to bless you forever!!!

  9. I hope that your Thanksgiving Day was special despite it being different from other years. I am thankful for you and your blog and all that you do to make it unique.

  10. Just want to thank you for not only posting the sales but also for adding photos & links to your favorite items in the sale. Its extremely helpful. So many bloggers post only the sales & I can never remember which items I was interested in from that site. I love your blog!

  11. Elemis.com has 35% off site wide plus a really nice free gift if you spend greater than $125 (after discount.) if you use Rakuten you get 10% cash back as well. You’ve gotten me hooked on the cleansing balm!

  12. Wow, great post. I can’t imagine how much time you spend on this, Jo-Lynne! Interesting about the pop-ups. I view on my laptop and while there are changing ads in a column to the right of your content, no pop-ups.

I am almost done Christmas shopping. I usually don’t like to finish so early because I enjoy a little store shopping as well as online shopping for others this time of year. However, concerned about shipping times, I have almost wrapped it up. Which means I keep looking at things for myself. lol.

I ordered the colorscience undereye treatment when you featured it before, Jo-Lynne and I honestly think my undereye area looks better already. And the lighter color is a close enough match to my “winter” skin that I haven’t even been using undereye concealer. Thanks for recommending it.

    Happy Black Friday!

    1. I agree – I could see a difference almost immediately. I really need to get working on my own Christmas shopping. I always end up working on these posts and ordering things I want to feature on the blog and forgetting to do my shopping. Plus, the kids wanted to get the tree, today we are visiting the inlaws… I never seem to be able to fit it all in but I don’t want to be paying for rush shipping at the last minute.

  13. SO glad you added Lululemon to your list as I like supporting your business.  You will make a fortune off of me if the link is always easily accessible!
