I promised a brownie recipe. This is my old standby. The nice thing is, you can make it in one pan.
Start with two sticks of butter. Hey, I promised they’d be good; I didn’t promise they’d be heart-healthy.
Melt the butter in a large saucepan. Remove from the heat and add 2 cups of sugar, 4 beaten eggs, and 2 tsp vanilla. Mix well.
Add 1 cup all-purpose flour, 1/2 cup Hershey’s unsweetened cocoa, 1/2 tsp salt, and 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips. (Add 1/2 cup walnuts if desired.) Mix thoroughly.
Pour into a greased 13x9x2-inch pan and bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes, or until set in the middle and slightly cracked around the edges. DO NOT OVER BAKE.
Looks good. I will have to try them. Thanks!
MmmMM. Brownies!
Thanks for much for this requested recipe.
I need to look up some american measurement equivalents, and also somewhere which converts ingredients into british ingredients, but as soon as I find out how much a stick of butter weighs, and what all purpose flour is, I promise to make them 🙂
Looks wonderful! I’ll be bookmarking this one.

Please come visit my blog when you get a chance because I “gave” you something over there! 🙂
