Trunk Club Unboxing + At-Home Try On Sesh

Y’all, this one’s a doozie. I know, I say that a lot, but really. GRAB A LARGE CUP OF COFFEE. This one’s a Venti edition.

This post is heavy on jeans and shoes, but there’s a little bit of everything because I’ve been ordering a mish-mosh of stuff.

After writing a post on 2017 fall fashion trends, I decided I should try some of them so I placed an order for cropped straight jeans and slides/mules. The next day, my Trunk Club stylist reached out and said she had a few pairs of awesome booties she wanted to send me, and I told her I was also open to trying some of the new fall denim trends. All of my boxes arrived at once, so I did a huge try-on sesh here at home and took pictures. A lot of this is going back, but I think it’s fun to share what came and what made the cut and why.

I prefer to do these pictures when I’m fixed up, but this was one of those days that I didn’t do a thing to my personal appearance — glasses, no makeup, bedhead… I had it all going on, so that’s why I cut my head out of all these pictures. #vanityvanityallisvanity

With that disclaimer, let’s get started!

As I mentioned yesterday, I placed a Lucky Brand order with several tops, and this peasant top was one of them. I like this top better in these pictures than I did in person. I actually really like it with these jeans and slides. (More on the slides in a sec.) It’s cute, and the colors are great for fall days that are still too warm for sweaters. I’m just not sure about the neckline on me. I was planning to send it back, but now I’m debating…

Lucky Brand peasant top // AG legging jeans // slides

I’ve already worn this embroidered tank a couple of times, and I styled it with white jeans for yesterday’s blog post. Here you can see how nice it looks with blue jeans as well. I love the colors, the pretty embroidered print, and the fit is pretty good. I’d love to have it nipped in a bit at the waist, but I doubt I’ll get around to it. The length works well for me, and the notched neckline is flattering without being revealing. I just wish those dark blue “arrows” weren’t pointing right to the girls. LOL!!

I discovered these slides on Pinterest and I ordered both blush and black because I wasn’t sure which I would wear more. They’re incredibly comfortable and easy to walk in, and they stay on my feet, which is hard to find!

I recommend sizing down a half size. I ordered an 8 and sent them back for a 7.5, which fits better. I hate it when slides are too big and there’s room behind the heel. I feel like it looks like I’m playing dress-up with my mom’s shoes.

After trying on both the blush and black (and polling my Facebook page) I decided to keep the black (although I do love the blush with this outfit!) I think I’ll wear the black more with fall rapidly approaching, and I didn’t want to keep both because I also ordered a pair of chestnut slides. LOL!

These next slides are by Vince. Not Vince Camuto, just Vince. It’s a different brand, and a little on the higher end of the spectrum. I have one Vince sweater that came in a Trunk Club last winter that I wore practically to death. I can’t wait to get it out again. This brand is spendy but high quality and worth it if you know you will wear something a lot and/or for many years.

I include these in my August Favorites post because I’m already obsessed and I haven’t even started wearing them yet. They’re rather basic at first glance, but the materials are gorgeous, the color is great for fall, and the heel has a subtle flat back which is a fun subtle detail.

I have the 8 in these, and that fits perfectly so I’d say they’re TTS (true to size.) They come in this cedar color as well as black, blush, and navy. I scored them for 60% off at Bloomingdale’s, but that sale has ended and the lowest I can find them for now is 40% off at Nordstrom.

Vince Rachelle slides at Nordstrom or Zappo’s

This is a sweater I ordered on one of the last days of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, and it took a while to come in. I like the open weave, the shape and size of the V-neckline, and the subtle bell sleeves. Its also a nice length (not too long, yay!) and has some shape through the waist. I ordered a medium because it’s a juniors brand, but I wish I’d ordered the small. I’m considering an exchange.

O’Niell Hillary sweater // AG legging jeans // mules

Here’s a close-up of the mules I’m wearing above. You may remember that I ordered these after striking out with the Halogen slide loafers and then discovering the pricey AGLs.

I had high hopes for these, but they aren’t very comfortable. I don’t think I could walk far in them. And while I sort of like how they look in these pictures, I feel ridiculous wearing them in person. I keep thinking about those AGLs because they were so incredibly comfortable and the quality is fantastic, but I prefer the more modern minimalistic style so I think I’ll keep looking.

Marc Jacobs Shiloh flat mules // AG legging jeans

I also ordered two pairs of crop straight jeans. I wanted to try to find something at a more budget-friendly price point than what I usually purchase because I’m not sure I’ll wear them much and I know you guys like to see a variety of price points. It worked out well because my Trunk Club stylist sent me premium denim so I have some of both to show you.

These are by Treasure & Bond. They have a higher waist and a slouchy-slim silhouette with ripped knees, split hems, and redone back pockets. They’re fun and somewhat flattering, I guess, but I don’t like the wash at all. To be frank, I think they look cheap.

Treasure & Bond high waist skinny crop jeans // Marc Jacobs flat mules // pink tee

These next ones are Kut from the Kloth and they’re fairly comfortable and fit well, but they have this funky fringe thing going on with the waistband that I didn’t notice when I placed my order. Needless to say, they’re going back.

Kut from the Kloth Kelly straight leg jeans // pink tee // Marc Jacobs slides

The next few pairs came from Trunk Club. These are Paige, and they’re a high waist ankle straight style. For some reason, the ankle straight and crop straight jeans always look bootcut to me. I can’t say I love these. I just feel like they chop off my leg at an awkward spot, but maybe my eye will adjust after I see more people wearing them.

Paige Jacqueline high waist ankle straight leg jeans // Marc Jacobs slides

This pair of Paige jeans was way too small. Even though she sent me 5 pairs of jeans in the same size (29) the fit was all over the map. These wouldn’t even come close to buttoning so I tried to get a picture below that area, lol.

These are a high waist crop straight style, so they’re an inch shorter than the ones directly above. These also have the displaced pockets that are trending right now. I didn’t even notice because I was so confounded by the crazy sizing, but you can see them on the website if you’re curious.

Paige Jacqueline high waist crop straight leg jeans // Vince slides

These are Citizens, and they’re a high rise slim boyfriend style. I should have flipped up the cuffs, but they didn’t come that way out of the box so I didn’t think about it at the time. These have some mild distressing and fading to give them a lived-in look, and they are pretty much ankle length (as opposed to cropped) for leg-lengthening fit. I don’t love them on me, but I can see how they might be cute on someone else.

Citizens Liya high waist slim boyfriend jeans // Marc Jacobs slides

These are also Citizens in a slim boyfriend style, but they have more of a mid-rise and they’re an inch shorter than the ones above. I like the medium wash with the whiskering and hand sanding details, but I don’t care for how they fit me. I just feel schlumpy in them. I also think they were a size too big.

Citizens Emerson slim boyfriend jeans // Vince slides

Now this pair I kind of like. Like the ones directly above, they’re the Emerson Slim Boyfriend Jeans by Citizens but in a lighter wash. I don’t know why these fit better, but I think they do.

To be sure, I tried to get a shot of my rear view. I didn’t bother taking this shot with the other styles although it would be helpful to compare. The rear shots are always hard to take. As you can see, this one is blurry, but I think these look alright from behind. (That is a tag on that left pocket, not part of the denim.)

I’ve been wanting to add some different styles to my closet, and I have some Trunk Club credits so I decided to keep these. I don’t think I’m ever going to like this style on me as much as skinny jeans or even bootcut jeans because the boyfriend style is wider through the thighs, and I think I look better in jeans that fit more snug through the thighs. However, for a boyfriend jean, these are the most flattering I’ve found, and I think they’ll be fun to style this summer and fall.

I actually wore them yesterday with an embellished muscle shirt and thong sandals. You can see that look on my Instagram.

Citizens Emerson slim boyfriend jeans // Vince slides

Overall, I think I like slim boyfriend style better than the ankle straight and crop straight because they have a slight taper and follow the line of the leg. That said, with the taller shaft booties coming in fashion and the slide loafers and mules, I can see how the straighter styles will work with those. I guess I need more time for my eye to adjust before embracing that trend.

And that’s the perfect segue. Let’s move on to ankle boots!

I’m noticing a distinct shift in trends this fall. More chunky boots are definitely trending, a higher shaft is coming back, and I’m also seeing a lot of black in both ankle boots and the loafer slides. My stylist sent me 3 pairs of black booties and one pair in a dusty rose.

I was immediately drawn to this pair of Jeffrey Campbell block heel booties with the higher shaft. The description on the Nordstrom website explains exactly what is going on with ankle boots this season:

Jeffrey Campbell makes a subtle nod to this season’s play on scale and balance in an inset bootie profiled with sock-like snugness around the shaft and a high vamp and counter that emphasize its slender verticality. The stacked block heel flares slightly at the top to provide a chunky contrast without looking heavy, for a silhouette that’s fashionably inspired and eminently wearable.

I should have shown them with different pants so you can appreciate all the details. I really like the contrast of the wood heel with the black booties. It’s going to take me a while to get used to this new style with the sock-like shaft and figure out how to style them, though.

This next pair is the BP. brand, and they have a cool flared block heel with double layer goring for easy on/easy off. They’re comfortable and fairly flattering if you like the blockier style. I’m kind of digging that flared heel.

BP. Quinn Flared Heel Chelsea Booties // slim boyfriend jeans

Finally, these Steve Madden tie back booties are my favorites because they have that same sock-like shaft but overall they’re more delicate and flattering to wear. I can see these with dresses this fall as well as jeans and pants. They remind me a lot of a Stuart Weitzman style that was big last year. They’re made of a stretchy micro-suede, and they’re very comfortable for a 4″ heel. These are definitely keepers.

They also come in a dusty rose, which she sent but I didn’t try on. I guess I should have because they’re fun and different, but they looked cheap to me. For some reason the black look higher quality.

Steve Madden Enact Tie-Back Booties // slim boyfriend jeans

This is why I love Trunk Club. I wouldn’t have known about those styles or even necessarily been drawn to them, but my stylist reached out and told me about them and offered to send me some to try.

I’m not working with Trunk Club, but I do use my referral link so if you sign up for Trunk Club through my site, I get shopping credits to use on future purchases.

So before we wrap this up, I have a couple of ponchos to show you. I ordered both of these from Lucky Brand, and I used this opportunity to try on two pairs of boots I ordered from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale that I’m still trying to decide about.

This heather grey poncho is one size fits all, and I like it a lot. The arm holes are small enough that it can be worn without an under layer as shown here, or I can wear a long-sleeve t-shirt underneath when the weather gets colder. It has a nice length, and it’s not too terribly voluminous. FYI, it also comes in navy.

I tried it on first with legging jeans and the Stuart Weitzman OTK boots from the #NSale. Yes, they are stupid expensive, but they were 40% off when I bought them. These boots are incredibly gorgeous, and I’ve been hankering for a pair for a while but I can never seem to pull the trigger. I got a similar pair in a Trunk Club last winter, and after hemming and hawing for a few days, I sent them back.

I’m tempted to keep them this time, considering the sale price, but I’m just not sure I’ll get enough wear out of them. They’re kind of over the top for my casual life here in the suburbs.

In addition to being gorgeous boots, they’re comfortable as well as warm. I like this chunky 2″ heel better than the flat Lowland style or the popular high heel styles.

Lucky Brand cowl neck sweater poncho // Stuart Weitzman Elevated OTK Boots

The other pair I’m debating about are these Blondo tall boots. They’re gone from the Nordstrom website, but these are similar. I had a similar pair to these that I’ve worn a ton the past two winters, but last year one got ruined. I was so upset b/c they’re so practical for our messy Pennsylvania winters and I like the uptown style.

When I saw these on a really good discount during the #NSale, I ordered them, even though it pains me to pay to replace boots that I already have. I guess that’s why I’m still undecided. I think I’d rather have something different even though I like them.

These are slightly taller than the ones I had, but they’re super comfortable with a memory foam footbed, and they look good on. They’re also waterproof, which is awesome.

Lucky Brand cowl neck sweater poncho // similar Blondo OTK boots

Okay, last piece and I’m done. PINKY PROMISE! Actually, this is two but I’m wearing them together.

This open front fringe poncho is super duper soft, and I love the drape and the fringe detail. I feel like the open front is more flattering than the pullover style like the one above. This sweater comes in black as well as the mink color I’m wearing here, and I ordered the XS/S for reference. I like the fit so I would say to size down if you’re in doubt at all.

The long sleeve tee I’m wearing underneath is another #NSale purchase. It’s a great wardrobe basic and comes in a ton of colors and some stripes as well.

And we’re done!!! If you made it to the end, you deserve a piece of chocolate. Go ahead. I won’t tattle on you. (I keep a stash in my desk drawer…)

I’ve definitely got some decisions to make. I thought I knew what I was keeping and returning, but after looking through these pictures, I’m conflicted on a few things. I didn’t get around to doing my returns over the weekend so that’s still on my to-do list this week.

I hope it was helpful to see what’s trending and what’s available right now as we start to transition towards fall fashion. As always, I’m curious to hear your thoughts!

  1. So fun to see someone get a box of clothes! Almost as fun as shopping for me. My friend does stitch fix and I make her fashion show it for me! I think the peasant top from Lucky Brand looked great on you – nice colors, and could see it in the fall with a sweater or jacket and now with jean shorts and booties. I like boyfriend jeans you picked. I actually wear skinnies and boyfriends a lot. I have the treasure and bond pair that you disliked and wore them out with girlfriends and received a ton of compliments and “where did you get those?!” And those blush slides! Love! Not a fan of the black closed toe slides. Have a similar pair in a chestnut suede that I liked way better for me – found the black too severe. FInally, OTK boots. Not a fan. Like you I live in the burbs of Philly. Also I just can’t get pretty woman before her shopping spree out of my head when I see them on someone. All that being said, you looked good in it all. No wonder you have a hard time deciding!

    1. I think that first outfit looks great on you. I didn’t get to the other pics yet because I wanted to rescue that top before it goes back. I have a couple of Lucky Brand tops with that neckline. I leave it untied or tie it very low so it makes a v-neck.

  2. Keep the Stuart Weitzman boots. You will not regret it. I bought a pair last winter and wear them enough to make the splurge with it. And, I can’t even wear them to work which is my barometer as to whether to keep most boots.

Also, vince is one of my favorite brands. I have a simple white tee that I got from the Runway section of TJ Max which has been my summer go to for two years and I have three vince sweaters – one from TJ Max and two from a boutique in Avalon which made up my weekend uniform last winter.

Finally, I love that ponchos are still having a moment. The one you styled with the fringe would be adorable with white jeans as a transition piece.

  3. I was meh on just about everything until you got to the last outfit. On their own the poncho is okay, and the OTK SW boots are not for me (I, too, think of Pretty Woman!), but when you put them together for that last shot–GORGEOUS! Guess it’s all in how you wear things, but you already know that 🙂 Another reason to keep those boots–they’d look so great with the right dress.. Thanks for all the time you put into your blog!

  4. JoLynne… I have to say these are my favorite kind of posts… I love shopping with you, lol, whether you are at home or in a fitting room. The insight you offer as you try on each item is pretty educational for me. So, please keep ordering 🙂

Also… been loving that embroidered Luckybrand top that you’ve been featuring…enough to keep studying it each time I’ve seen it on you. FWIW, I have not once drawn a connection between the arrows and your girls.!

  5. I love the peasant top!!! It’s super cute! I’m with you on the whole boyfriend jean thing…they look weird on me. I’m sticking with skinny or bootcut. I love ponchos and while I probably wouldn’t have considered the open front one, I do like the way it looks on you so I’m going to keep that style in mind when I start buying some fall clothes!

  6. Love both Lucky Brand tops! I also say the Stuart Weitzman boots are keepers, they look great on you! I really want to get on the slides/mules trend but so far haven’t found any I like that I can wear to work.
Both ponchos look good on you as do the slim boyfriend jeans. That Nordstrom sale sweater…I don’t think it flatters you overall, I think a smaller size might look better.

These try on sesh posts are fun. I like reading about why you like and dislike the clothing and how you decide what to keep.

  7. It’s so nice to have you try on and show us some of the new trends. I really like the last pair of black boots that are also waterproof. Co siderite g the weather y’all can have during winter, they seem to be more practical. I’m not sure if I’ll embrace too many of the trends by spending money in them. Time will tell.

    Have a blessed day!

  8. I love the idea of trying some of the new fashion trends! I like the slim boyfriends on you. Might consider a pair for myself because I’m definitely a jeans girl. Skinnies are my go-to, but it would be nice to have something else in my closet. I love the higher shaft bootie. I’ve always struggled with the length of my jeans with ankle-height booties. LOVE the Vince slides. Making final decisions on what I bought during the Nordstrom sale. Something might be going back so I can rationalize buying the slides!

    Great post.

    1. I think they’re quite different. For one thing, you get to know your stylist at Trunk Club, and she gets to know you. She learns what styles you like and what you need and what sizes work for you in various brands. It’s also all sourced from Nordstrom so you know the quality you’re getting and can compare prices. Stitch Fix is more hit or miss for me, but price points tend to be lower.

  9. I have been attracted to Lucky brand clothing this past year. I bought a pair of Nubuck Chelsea style booties in black because I need comfortable shoes for walking. I’m sure you know the feeling of searching your closet for your most comfortable shoes before you head out to the mall. I also bought the Sam Edelman Merton booties with the cute straps. They are pretty comfortable but I am scared to wear them all day yet! Lastly, I bought the pink blush suede booties with the grommets from Rebecca Minkoff. Haven’t worn them yet but I think they will be a winner. Love all the pink this year!
Thanks for your posts! Love your pics!

  10. What fun! The peasant top is super cute as well as the embroidered tank. The black, pointed tip mules make your feet look huge. Not a fan at all of those!! Love the poncho!!

  11. I too love these posts. Seeing all the options and how you style things is super great!! I love the SW OTK boots–you are inspiring me to consider a pair of taller-type ones. And the last poncho is also a keeper–LOVE. One question–what are “displaced pockets” that you refer to near the top of the denim series of photos? You don’t show, and I’m unfamiliar with the term. (Gotta keep current ya know! LOL) Thanks JL!!

  12. I sent back the SW boots from a Trunk last winter and have not stopped thinking about them since!! I plan to splurge on them this year, I just have to get the kids’ back to school taken care of first. Boyfriend jeans are so tough ! I finally found one pair of 7s, I had to size down 2 whole sizes to get the right fit. But once I found that one pair that fits just right, I love them ! The pair you picked look awesome on you.

  13. I love it when you take us shopping–even if it’s trunk shopping! I love the peasant top on you with the denim and blush slides. I don’t wear peasant styles or that neckline, but seeing it on you make me rethink it. When I went to the link and saw it on the model, I didn’t like it at all and probably would never haven given it a second glance. But seeing it on you (we are similar in body type) made all the difference. They really need you to model for them!! Both Lucky brand tops look great on you. 🙂

  14. I love long, informative posts like this. I may not always have the time and freedom but at this 50-something stage of life this a fun guilty-pleasure. I think your speedy typing skills help make it possible for you to be so detailed. I’m really enjoying your great efforts!

  15. Jo-Lynne,

Hm. Not sure about any of those jeans. I love skinnies on you, and I love skinnies on me, and I am not sure these new styles flatter anyone?! I do like the Blondo tall boots. They look very chic without trying too hard!
Thanks a lot for taking us shopping with you though. It’s comforting to see that it is a lot of hard work for you too. My husband forever despairs over the fact that I online shop, but send so much back (about 90 per cent). But what I keep, I love! LOL

  16. This type of post is among my favorites. I didn’t notice the arrows until you pointed them out, but I understand how you feel since I have a similar body type. If I were you, I’d be keeping the SW OTK boots. In fact, they look fabulous on you, and I’m wishing I had tried them when they were on sale.

  17. WOW! So much fun stuff. I still can’t get on the over the knee boots. My legs are so short they’d probably come up to my lady-bits. They look cute on you and I bet they would be warm. I’ve got a pair of Donald J Pliner mules from about 10 years ago that I hardly wore that will be great this season. I need to pull them out.

  18. Great post….my favs: Blondo tall boots-please keep these, you really rocked them!! Heather grey poncho-the fit was great, so easy to wear, so many places to wear it to. Love the embroidered tank…super cute, elegant without being too fussy, dress it up or down.

  19. JoLynne- Let me preface what I’m going to say by telling you that I think you are beautiful, stylish, smart and my favorite fashion blogger! ????
But, I don’t like any of the options you received except the embroidered green and blue Lucky top. (Looks fabulous on you!!!) The first floral top you tried on with the sweetheart neckline and tasseled tie looks too sweet/youngish and all the jeans and bulky sweaters look too sloppy to me. I recently was shopping at Nordstrom with a friend who has a personal shopper there, and she was complaining to the PS that the quality and styles offered have really taken a dive lately. They seem to be catering to the styles of the younger set only and forgetting about the 45+ women who need classier styles for work or even casual wear. Or they seem to be recycling the same look over and over (i.e.: sweaters now with a cold shoulder or tops that are distressed and ripped). The woman was really receptive and took notes; she said it was important to give feedback like that to the buyers.
Anyway, my take away was that I won’t be buying new jeans anytime soon. I’m going to continue to wear my skinnies and boot cut jeans because I feel like I look good in them and they work well with my shape. The high cut mom jeans with bodysuits or tops tucked in are what I wore in the 80s and I never thought they were flattering back then! Lol!
I love seeing you try on all these styles though and LOVE teading your blog. I’m a big fan! ????

    1. I hear ya, I’ve noticed a lot of more youthful styles taking over too. I’m hoping it is just this weird in-between season and come fall, there will be more to choose from. I think it will be interesting to see if the crop/ankle straight jeans take over or not. I still see most bloggers wearing skinnies.

  20. Thank you for sharing all the new denim styles. What a great help it is to see them on someone else. I tried to go back to yesterday’s post and find the color of nail polish you were wearing on your hands. The link is no longer there to click on and I would love to know which CND shade it is.

    Thank you,
    Joy

  21. Maybe a weird request – but I would love if you would do a post explaining how you do the “partial tuck-in” on shirts like you have with the pale pink t-shirt. Every time I try, I think it looks wrong, and I don’t know what I’m missing.

      1. Funny. I just had to do this with my new Caslon tee. Its alittle longer than normal tee I buy butyou are right, so soft and I got the beige color you recommended. Love it. Great neutral. Can’t think of color name on site. I want the pink smoke now as I see they restocked but full price. I had to work in front tuck today got it just right then messed it all up after using restroom. Ha ha. I’m like you just go for it. That’s for link. You do great job on it.

  22. I almost laughed out loud at the elf shoes! Love your skinny boyfriend jeans – and you look great in it all! 🙂

  23. Love the unboxing session! I’m not a fan of those pointy black mules, they remind me of Elf shoes LOL. You look cute in everything but I agree with you, skinnies are the perfect fit for you, stick with the AG Leggings and skinny jeans. For tops, the peasant top, the embroidered top, the pink tee and the Caslon long sleeve tee look great on you! Send the rest back and wait for something you really love. 🙂 I may get that pink tee, it never hurts to have good basic tees. Did you order a small or medium in the long sleeve tee?

  24. Well that was fun, I felt like I got to go shopping and didn’t spend a dime!
The OTK boots-swoon…however I’m short and I work in a law office, so not for me, but they look great on you!
Thank you for your insight on these trends.

  25. Seriously, my favorite type of post! I meant to comment yesterday and got pulled away. I’m having the hardest time with non skinny jeans (for me). I even struggle with leg openings under 10″! I am just so used to certain fits that anything else just seems off to me. Funny thing is they don’t usually look weird on others. I do like the ones you ended up choosing, and maybe seeing you style them will give me some pointers on how or if they’ll work for me. I tried cutting an old pair of my straight jeans a few weeks ago and they were just no, lol.
I seriously love those SW boots on you too. Definitely a big decision and splurge, but they are stunning!

  26. Can I give my 2 cents? Return the Stuart Weitzman OTK boots and buy the AGL slides you modeled the other day. Much more current and they looked so much better on you than these OTK boots. I just don’t love the OTK boots. I actually bought them last Xmas with a gift card I got for the holidays after wanting them forever. When I got home and tried them on, I was not in love with the way they looked on me at all. I think they look best on super tall leggy women. I also feel like its had its day already if you KWIM.

    1. OK. You just hit the nail on the head. I think that’s what is holding me back on the SW boots. You worded it so well – this trend has probably had its day. Not to say that they’re out of style, but maybe it’s late to get on the bandwagon since I don’t have a ton of opportunities to wear them. The AGL slides are more cutting edge, although I think the penny loafer design is what is holding me back there. I wanted something more sleek and sophisticated, more minimal. But I think I would enjoy them and adjust to the look. They make a lot of sense for my lifestyle and I’d wear them often, I think. Decisions…

  27. Thanks for sharing everything and all of your thoughts!
I don’t like the OTK boots much, I think it sort of cuts your let off, but if you do, then I say keep them!
I still don’t like any of the slides. The blush ones look like my aunt’s house shoes to me! That said, I never claimed to be fashion forward.

  28. I ended up several days behind on your posts. Guess it’s been a crazier week than I thought, LOL. I really like the first shirt, and I like it on you, but I don’t know if it’s a style you’ll wear often enough to keep it. As far as the jeans, I don’t think the cropped ones look cropped enough, they look like a kid had a growth spurt in most of the pictures. I liked the ones with the fringe waist, if they didn’t have the fringe.

  29. I feel like I should have read this yesterday, so I could get my vote in! 🙂 I say yes to the Lucky top and Blondo boots. I think you made the right choice on the boyfriend jeans. Those were really cute on you. I probably would have picked the BP booties but the tie-back ones were cute too. I think I prefer the gray poncho but both are cute. I don’t love the look of the slides that are in now, but the brown ones were the best ones. And, finally, the price one those Stuart Weitzman boots makes me want to puke. Even at 40% off. I know I would probably never have an occasion to wear them either as we are pretty casual here in idaho, but if you don’t think you’ll wear them tons, I say send them back. Phew! I think that covers it LOL. I love seeing all the new stuff!

  30. I love your blog and I really look forward to reading it each morning. The Trunk Club Unboxings are some of my favorite posts. Since I’m a “skinny jeans girl” at heart, I quickly scrolled through the boyfriend jeans section of the post, thinking to myself, “yeah, that’s nice…hmm, that’s cute.” But I have to tell you, I stopped in my tracks when I saw the first photo of you wearing the grey poncho, skinny jeans and the drop dead gorgeous Stuart Weitzman OTK boots! OMGOSH absolutely fabulous! You gave me the courage to step out of my comfort zone and finally purchase the boots. I received themtoday, and I’m in love! I hope you keep your boots and style them throughout the fall and winter! BTW, love the Vince slides too!
